I cannot hold in my screams any longer. This story inspired intense emotions in me. I truly came to cherish the love between Paris and Helen, Hector and Andromache, Achilles, Patroclus and Briseis, Priam and Hecuba. The brotherly bond between Paris and Hector, Agelaus’ kindness to Paris, the camaraderie formed between the Trojans and Amazons. Achilles, Patroclus, Nestor and Odysseus were the only Greeks I cared for, and I was saddened by what Odysseus was made to do by the end. He did nasty things, but his Odyssey home will be a penitence for that. He will wash himself of his old sins and return home safely to his wife and son.
Agamemnon and Menelaus…from the beginning, I disliked them, but by the end, my loathing was frightening in it’s depth. I envisioned a hideous, painful end for Menelaus and was frightened by my own schadenfreude, but I can’t deny it. One of the bitterest ironies is the contrast with the old movie Troy. Menelaus was honorable there, yet he died. Here he is despicable, yet he lives. Paris was contemptible in Troy yet survived, but here, where he is good and kind, he dies. It makes me want to scream: what was the point?!

meh achilles considered briseis only as his prize, he loved deidamia and had a son by this marriage. Later he fell in love at first sight with penthiselea. So yeah..
Also Helen never loved Paris, never ever. Se truly loved Menealus but she was deceived by Aphrodite due to the promises she made to Paris

In my university I sense a lot of envy on Bella(Helen's) beauty, they said they dont like her BUT THEY TRY TO LOOK LIKE HER.

I watched the whole mini-series today.
Even though I didn't like much of the casting, I really enjoyed the mini-series!
Bella Dayne's Helen was definitely my favorite character in the mini-series!
I enjoyed her take on it.
Her chemistry with Louis Hunter as Paris was great!
It turns out that they have been in a romantic relationship!
I thought Bella looked gorgeous in the mini-series.
I liked her more than Diana Krueger who played Helen in the 2004 movie, Troy.
Both are German women, but there is something about Bella that makes me think that she looks like she has Mediterranean ancestry.
I watched it, I liked it. But making half the cast black was a big no no. Even if half the cast was scandinavian I would have been triggered by the decision of casting.
The most important clip in the series, which I consider one of the most important lessons for the world, is the first interview between Helen and Priam, King of Troy, which is her demand for women's rights because she is persecuted in Greece!!! But they did not know the devastation that would befall them as a result of these rights
if you want to be braver than achilles, Let go of your fears and be prepared to take pain and never give up even at the cost of your life you will be better than Achilles. push forward and never be a chicken. Hector was also brave because of his love for his brother. paris was an idiot but he was still family. I wish patrocles death and the whole stupid war never happened.
Oh that wonderful age, the age of Greeks, there shall never be an any age equivalent to it; although we had the so called scientific revolution, the Greek world had age was so unique in so many ways!

This series was so good to me, I always loved the odyssey, this made me so mad at Odysseus lol
Odysseus is the only good thing in this show. His acting was so great and his character was also interesting

This show is definitely worth watching if you like history/mythology. This show is more accurate to the Homer's Epic than the Troy movie. However the casting was bad...Black Achilles and Black Zeus. But you'll get used to it. Achilles character was so bad in this. They didn't even explore his character and his death didn't hit hard
I see your point but I think the aim of this series was to more focus on the relationship between Paris, Helen and the trojan war and this was not a Hollywood movie that had Brad pitt playing Achilles this was showing a different perspective

Zeus can make himself look however he wants. I agree on the Achilles part but if you want to see white Achilles watch the Troy movie
@@theboy1625 not even the same thing, this is a show, that’s a movie. Even tho they are based off the same myth the characters are completely different.
Nothing to do with black or white characters. It’s sad because it’s almost like they think : « How can we pleased public by putting black character and in which position ( god, Achille, soldier, king etc ) are we going to put them ? This is a racist way of distributing roles.
What does Paris say at the end to Helen before he's killed? I couldn't make it out. This is such a good video!

I black person of Africa, I don't understand why David Gyasi is playing Achilles of Myrmidons. Why? Isn't Achilles Greek? Since when was he black? Ffs Hollywood what the fxck is going on? 🤦♀️ There's plenty of historical figures black people can play. Imagine if Brad Pitt played King Shaka Zulu. The amount of criticism.
i cant get over how much she looks like madeline stowe in last of the mohicans. paris also looks like charlie cox daredevil. personally i liked princess hermione better. greeks forever trojans never.
Netflix's Troy fall of city must comes with chapter or season 2 .it's incomplete . A lady helen destroy the hole Troy city . Season 2 must come n we want season 2 ,sons of Troy and n friendly states come together n destroy the Greek n his allies partner states ,halen that lady a cheater ,that lady cheated the honest man paris (alexgender) n hole troy city ,that lady one and only reason why troy defeted .

@@djangounchained2754 péssima série, Helena não é a mulher mais linda, a pastora que Paris estava ficando tem uma beleza igual a de Helena, o que muda são as vestimenta, pq Helena se veste igual uma rainha e a outra se vesti bem simples, outro erro é querer alguém só por causa de beleza, ele pediu a mulher mais linda e não uma mulher que ame ele, que tenha caráter e seja fiel, por isso muitos homens hoje em dia leva chifre pq só enxergam a aparência, outro erro é romantizar um homem com uma mulher casada, Helena era casada, enquanto Paris era solteiro, por isso as pessoas estão perdidas.

Good show, good tribute
In order to believe we need faith, and to have faith a feeling of hope, of trust.
This actress who plays Helen is not the most beautiful in the world. No one can believe it, that's why few people have enjoyed this show. Because as glorious and epic as this story is, there is no faith, there is no belief that nothing is real or well done. The cast fails, and therefore the myth, the story, and the love of the fans fail.
I agree. I disliked this show, at least Helen deserved a painful death at the end for all the crimes she has done. Hectors’ wife lost everything because of her (Helen). I was full of anger after I finished this show. The worst
Bad… Actors ( Achille, Helen ) and they not have enough budget to take a real beauty, a woman who stunt everyone by her beauty? Helen was supposed to be the most beautiful woman in the world and she is so ordinary, just ok I think. Even Hermione is better looking
