Bro I am South African and a proud BOK supporter with the All Blacks second (with all the respect), I enjoy your responses to some of the tackles, I've subbed!! keep em coming..
I'm am so glad you said the guy has a grass tattoo and not turf burn. This means you are really learning about the game. Plus it's 2031, the RWC will be in your backyard in the US of A
Also check out Francois Steyn catalogue of long range kicks. Played for Springboks at a very young age and have been part of 4 world cups now. He absolutely does not know what pressure is. Loves it.
I love how hes obsessed with Duane and Eben but his recomendations also include PSDT and Jesse Kriel.... this man has now idea just how stacked the team is XD
You said, Who's that guy. He's Siya Kholisi. The Springbok captain. He's the type of guy who has surgery and is back in national colors in four months. Everyone was saying six months would be a miracle. To have people like Eben and Thor and Schalke Burger and big Kolbe call you their captain then you have to be a warrior. He leads from the front
What you need to know is , when he gos in head first in to that pile of players to recover the ball.He can not play the ball if he gos of hes feet (hands have touched the ground). It takes massive amout of strength to do that then the other team is trying to push or pull you over.
Good reaction, appreciate your effort, but you really don't understand half of these clips. It's not your fault, you just don't know this law. When somebody is tackled with the ball, they must release the ball. It's up to their team mates to protect the ball and fight off any oponents. That part is called a ruck and players can't use their hands on the ball. There is about a 1-2 second gap from when the tackled player hit's the deck with the ball, that the first defender to arrive to tackle can use his hands to try get the ball. As soon as the player misses the ball, has a second grab, or his knees or body touches the ground, then he can't use his hands or it is illegal. If you watch again, you will see Vermuelen getting right into the tackle as the first defender after the tackle, he grabs at the ball, and his position and leg strength is too strong for the other team to push him off the ball before he grabs it. He is so quick to the ball that you have to slow motion replay to even see him enter. When that happens, either he gets the ball and it's a turnover, which is a very important thing, and it is play on, or the referee blows his whistle and awards a penalty, which is a turnover with 4 choices. A super turnover. This guy was a pro at stealing balls, which half this video is about. It's a really important part of the game. The other half of the video is easy to understand. It's his running, physical prowess and skills. If you can understand the other half, then you can see just how impressive and valuable he was. He won 2 world cups as number 8 for South Africa. Number 8 is a special position.
He plays at No. 8 probably one of the most critical positions in rugby. If a team has a great No 8, a scrumhalf and a flyhalf , the team is on its way to winning.
I'm disappointed the clip of Duane one-handedly stopping, lifting and throwing away Aaron Smith like he was a sack of potatoes wasn't in this highlight reel (Stormers vs Hurricanes match). Anyways, you should see him stand next to normal ppl to get an idea of just how large the man is.
Duane a couple years ago had cracked ribs, maybe broken I cant remember, he STILL ran on and played against the All Blacks and that game he even was the Man of the Match. Build differently
Most these guys have been playing rugby since junior school. A lot of them most probably started at age 6 or 7. To toughen them up junior schools play rugby barefoot. Check if you can find any junior schools rugby.
If Americans really get into Rugby the game will explode with their marketing for sports. and they way they love stats it will be a matter of time till they clash with the the big 3.... I am waiting for the day
Hi. Been enjoying the hell out of your reactions. Am South African and proudly so. I do however appreciate talent and skill. Check out Renee Ranger Big Hits and enjoy. Probably the hardest back ive seen play in my opinion. Cheers and thanks for the entertainment.
Your commentary has my in stitches dude 🤣 Love the videos, keep them coming.
Thor currently part of the coaching staff for Springboks
Do a review on South Africas former no 8 Pierre Spies. ..really great ball carrier back in his day ....😊

The Black guy is our captain Siya Kolisi. He's worth a video too.
Use to be
New captain is Morat from Stormers NO.4
@@mr_KIMYno, youre wrong
@@lukaventerspringboks said if he moved out of SA they would take away his captaincy because it’s bad brand exposure, dk if they did
Only if you want to hear violins play about his pathetic past and about how he made it..
@@mr_KIMYno, that’s just an acting captain for one match role. Moerat isn’t even springbok quality.
Also check out Francois Steyn catalogue of long range kicks. Played for Springboks at a very young age and have been part of 4 world cups now. He absolutely does not know what pressure is. Loves it.
Do a video on Pieter-Steph du Toit also a great Springbok. You won't regret it.
Watermelon 🤣 Vermeulen (say "fir-mew-len")
Eban - Eben (say "Ear-bin" but don't go heavy on the 'R')
And he's the nicest guy, too.
I love how hes obsessed with Duane and Eben but his recomendations also include PSDT and Jesse Kriel.... this man has now idea just how stacked the team is XD
5:10 thats THE captain sir

The only thing better is to come visit and spend time with us, South African supporters, during a game
Some other Springboks with serious highlight reels are Lukhanyo Am, Kurt-Lee Arendse and Canan Moodie. Get on it💪🇿🇦
Rugby player's best friends, ice and painkillers.
Check out Peter Steph Dutoit. He made 28 tackles in one game. He come from a valley 30km from my town mi
The labs name is called plaas or platteland or just plain RS of A.
He plays at No. 8 probably one of the most critical positions in rugby. If a team has a great No 8, a scrumhalf and a flyhalf , the team is on its way to winning.
Yo bro. When are you going to watch the Boks live in SA? I'd like to see that. Oh and it's Vemeulen (Fir-meah-Lin)
