- I am very excited for this movie. It looks incredible. The trailer was nice but I wasn't a huge fan of the music choice. So I decided to re edit it to feature "Honor Him" and "Now We Are Free" by Hans Zimmer from the original movie.
So this video blew up WAY more than I was expecting. I wanna thank everyone who has stopped by and liked the video.
With that said, I wanna make it clear I am not bashing the original trailer. I wanna make it clear that I liked the original trailer that was released. I made this as a fun little thing like "Oh, I wonder how it would have sounded with music from the first movie." This was never meant to be a groundbreaking edit of a movie trailer.
And I wanna make it clear that I am very excited for Gladiator 2's release this year.

Good job...but the music of the original trailer sucks ass.
This movie still looks like a Gladiator skit. The older camera technology and the original being filmed on film looks so much better.
This feels more like the actual trailer than the real one
Even though I wasn't a huge fan of the music in the original trailer, it still did a great job at showing how good the movie looks. At least in my opinion.
Shows how influential and important is a good score for movies
It's not gladiator without this music.

This score remains a alltime-classic. Hans Zimmer is the maestro. He should have done the soundtrack also for Part 2.
The music in a movie is essential to make it become a masterpiece that will never be forgotten. Lord of the Rings and the Gladiator have the most memorable soundtracks of all time in my opinion.

Eh, Harry Gregson Williams is just as good. I liked the Kingdom of Heaven and Last Duel soundtracks just as much as Gladiator's.

The music fixes are great here. And the trailer itself is edited to remove the "Denzelisms" that kept taking me out of the actual trailer.
Don't mistake what I'm saying. Denzel Washington is an absolute legend. A stellar actor. It's just his sly smile 'Ahhh! I just got you!' thing works in Training Day, an Equalizer movie or Inside Man, etc. It does not in Rome 200 A.D. It's his style of modern acting undermining a historical setting.

They are following the arc of the first movie, only that didn't solve the problem, even if the Empire become a Republic for a short while that didn't stop the problem that the Senate is overly corrupt, and by the footage they now have two crazy Consuls, meaning that the system is still broken and another Emperor would likely would be chosen, because at this time, Rome was in chaos, Emperors were killed by their own soldiers, the Army chose who would be the next Emperor, and then there was the Third Century Crisis, that also ended with their own Emperor killed by their own soldiers.

@PertoxBR I have no doubts in his ability to make a great score to a movie that is widely regarded as a masterpiece. I am also hoping he can introduce cool original themes.
This makes it way better than the original... Also how did you remove the song from the dialogue? Just wondering because I wouldn't mind doing something similar except with a different soundtrack. Thanks!
@JarrynEmms Thanks for watching! It was kind of weird to do since I've never done this type of edit before. And you can still hear the original music in there at some parts. But anytime there was music with dialogue, I just used the noise reduction feature. And anytime there was music with no dialogue, I just muted the original trailer and had the first movie themes play.

If i remember well, in those ancient times I come from, the trailer for the first movie was very bad and suggested the movie would be very bad. I think I finally went to see it to spend some time with some girl

@@spartan003 some did not even have any trailer anywhere to be seen on our (non-US or UK) TV network, like for example Terminator. Only some posters in town. So nobody wanted to see Terminator because bahh again some basic action movie etc .. same for Robocop .. was alone in the theater .. not even possible to drag any girl in with those titles and without Mel Gibson in the cast

The old soundtrack
Trailer was good even though there's no need of a sequel. But it's Ridley who made it so making a sequel, like Crowe said mightve got a good reason. But that rap music felt too 21st century for a movie ages earlier
Denzels accent throws me off more than anything.
Ah, another dummy who was programmed to think British accent is the most accurate and appropriate for this era.
I honestly feel that it's the fans such as yourself who have more talent than the actual people who cut these trailers in Hollywood.

Why wouldn’t you notice that you were in Italy watching a story about Roman gladiators who live in Italian and would normally speak Italian yet they were speaking it was British accents??? I guess, as long as the changes white oriented No problems?😉🤨

Could of used a actor in his mid to late Thirties for the Roman General role and also some one that looks a tiny bit tiny bit like Maximus and that actress Connie Nelson, being that she is mother in this world and Maximus is his real DAD , That will be the TWIST in this FILM I SAY

The editing fails, it is not just taking and playing the music and that's it. You have to know how to edit. The simple thing is what you have done, but it has no entity.

It's disgusting that nowadays every influencer thinks they can do everything better or meet artistic standards. The original trailer is perfectly edited and interwoven with the music and composed, creating a dramatic rhythm. The video here was created completely amateurishly with the music being played loudly and quietly, and the guys here are applauding because everyone thinks they can do it better. With this crap and all the stupid content, you're destroying entire industries for a bit of attention 🖕🏽

I have stated many times that the trailer that was released was a good trailer and that I am very excited for the movie. I just wasn't a fan of the music choice.
