Finally have a GR Corolla in my hands and wanted to do a deep dive walk around video. In this segment we will be discussing some of the key details of the car both positive and negative. I am also trying to stay away from stuff that has already been covered multiple times by other channels where possible.

Note:
Folks I did make one little mistake in the video. I said the rear calipers were single pot... they are in fact dual pot. My mistake and will correct in the next video.
I’m so close to breaking mine in. Such a great car though I agree about worth the hype. I’ve been able to own and drive quite a few cars and this is one amazing hot hatch. Can’t wait until aftermarket comes out with some exhausts for these!

I'm happy for you. Unfortunately I could not bring myself to pay the huge mark up. I'd rather put 20k into a car and make it how I want it.
I’m really hoping ADM goes away but it’s not looking likely any time soon
In my country this car msrp is $56,995 dollars the core edition they are impossible to buy too much for this car and specially for this edition i buy a 2023 xse HB and i love it , i want the GR but with this prices is impossible to buy one in my country in the states msrp is 34,00 i think and pay 20,000 more is a stupid thing to do .
I wonder if ADM is a permanent thing we all have to live with from now on. Starting to feel like manufacturers are purposely restricting volume.

Yep, the rear spoiler is a dealer install. Got a full spec Core in black and love it. And the Circuit edition hood is not that expensive so I'm getting that cuz I originally wanted the Circuit edition in grey but they rare and a tad expensive here in PR

You will love it
On the Core, LSD and painted calipers are an option, part of the Performance Package . If you add all of the package options, your roughly at 40k, just a few thousand less than the Circuit edition. Also there is a flap on the center muffler tip, may open at the same time as the flap on the air intake, don't know for sure.
The red calipers mean you have the performance package.
@@PointShiftDrive Said that in my original post. The point is, you should of mentioned which options you have on your car. The base core model does not come with the LSD or painted calipers. Tech package gets you JBL Audio and QI phone charging and the Cold Weather Package gets you heated seats and heated steering wheel. If you add all those options to the core, your at almost 40k, which is about 3k less than the Circuit Edition which gives you all of those mentioned options plus upgraded interior, carbon fiber roof, different hood, different trim, better tires etc.
This video wasn’t meant to be an in-depth look. I am saving more of the details for the drive video.
@@PointShiftDrive I understand, wasn't suggesting it should of been. Your showing a Core edition and then you specifically mention the LSD and painted calipers, you should of just mentioned that those are an OPTION on the core, would of taken 10 seconds. As your video stands its misleading to potential customers, whom might think the core edition at 35k comes with those options. IMO, I would add a text overlay at that section mentioning those are options, at least that is what I would do.
if you get the core Edition without the Torsen LSD now, you can still add it later right? with even better aftermarket options
It’s sad that the dealers doesn’t put any parking sensors on there, while other versions in countries, like Australia, have it all (front and back parking sensors). Is it possible to put parking sensors on it as after market? I really worry about accidentally hurt this masterpiece
Anything is possible. However I don’t think it’s worth it.

Not quite yet. They should start appearing in dealerships in the coming weeks
I've heard production hasn't even started on the Circuit Edition yet. Supposedly starting this Spring with arrival in the Summer.
@@FableReality hmm that wasnt the projected schedule. I guess they are running behind. Im sure they will all sell but the hype doesnt last forever. It will be interesting to see if those have any markup on them by then.
@@PointShiftDrive would love to get a circuit edition but my local Toyota dealer said any where from 5-20k for the car. N this is for core. Pretty much the case for all performance cars coming out. So it looks like I’m priced out of the car game lol. Gonna just go buy me a nice ducati instead lol
@@ll.7927 that's why it's nice that in Quebec a dealership can't legally sell a car over msrp. The only way to work around that is to sell it to a customer, buy it back after a while and sell it over msrp a second time.

All dealers in California, when I bought, do indeed have markup.
performance package is about 2-3k, plus i paid 6k markup. cheapest one i found within 200 miles. Pretty sure you can find one for 5-7k markup. unless you are super close with a dealer and have bough so many cars from them, they might let you walk away without markup lol.
I negotiated 12k down to 3k so it’s possible to come down a lot! Had dealer accessories like tint, nitrogen tires, etc
