Hey, Doc! Thanks so much for the anniversary shout out! We had a good time in Maine! Got home late afternoon on Friday. Had light rain in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts on the way home. Hit CT and ran into a TORRENTIAL downpour!! Can't believe I'm gonna say this but, I hope you all got the rain we got! You all need it for the growth of your lawns! Doc, if you had an orchard ladder, you could place it pretty much anywhere and not have anyone holding it. Trimming bushes/shrubs, hedges off of the houses is key! Ants and other bugs will use them as super highways to get into your home. I have to get up on my roof as soon as it dries off and cut some branches away from the eaves. Very nice work on that job, Doc! It looks really nice! Gives the property that polished look! Keep it REAL! TRUTH! Peace. Hope you guys have a great weekend! God bless. Hi, Sarah!
Glad you both enjoyed the time away! No rain yet but I think it's coming as soon as I get done with this comment. I know I need one but you know me, I am cheap! Would rather save the money for something else. Lol. God bless
Great work dude and thanks so much for the help because of you iam doing hedges this year I only got one customer for it lol but hey gave me the confidence to try it out thanks man 😊
Doc have you tried the tri pod ladder by Hasgawa? You can put it anywhere, doesn’t matter what grade the ground is, it’s actually a Arborist ladder 👍 great looking work 👍👍🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🍉🍉👌
Thanks for this video, I don’t normally do shrubs often. I have begun learning more about trimming them. I always go from mowing to dump trailer or dirt work. I’m trying to add more tools to the tool box to bring in more money. Question, do you recommend trimming in the heat of summer? I always have in the fall, maybe a quick touch up in summer.
Mine should have been done in the spring but so far behind because of rain. It doesn't hurt them in any way at all. I recommend spring and fall in you can. I do fall cleanups on almost all my properties. Hedge trimming is great money 💰👊💯😎
@@DOCREAL1118 thanks for the reply. I know how summers in Ohio can be, although I live near Nashville I’m from the Lima area. I know where you are you got some good clients.
Superb finished product brother! It's always important to stand back and give that bush a good looking over before you get in there!!! 😅😂😊 Just a bit of humor.

Thank you so much Nicki, I really appreciate it
Hey Doc, you should carry some zip ties for tieing wires on the side of houses so you don't cut them.
I keep IT velcro ties handy for this.
That is a great tip! Thank you so much
Very smart!!
You always do great work on hedges. I did one today somewhat new to learning this skill.
Thank you brother! Hope this might help you. It takes awhile but once you get it then you can do any hedge.
Great job Doc. Man that would of taken me the entire day.
Thanks brother!! You will get there
You cleaned it up real nice brother! Well done man! I’m taking notes bro I’m getting into a similar job first thing Monday I appreciate you brother!

Thanks brother 💪💯 You had it in you all the time. You can do anything you put your mind to brother. Proud of you brother 🙏👊 God bless
Beautiful job once again. How much did it cost the homeowner? It’s certainly an investment well spent.
Thank you. That was $325.00 pretty easy job

👍 great looking work 👍👍🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🍉🍉👌
I need to get one but man the expense is up there. Thanks brother
One thing that I've learned is patience when trimming. Less can be more. If you trim to much, it will create a ton more work.
Very true brother! You can always take a bit more off but you can't put any back on.
Doc, i have a very long yew hedge to trim, i use string with line leval...on others lots of up / down ladder and dozens of visual inspection...👍
I think the string is a good idea but I just rely on my eyes. No doubt the visual inspection is the most important part.
Watching doc
You the MAN 💪

Lol!! I think they turned out well. Hope it helps someone learn something
Yes sir, your explanation was perfect. I'm more than sure you helped many folks understand your approach and methodology.
@@johnd.613 Thanks buddy
big yellow one looks like a varigated euonymus, like a privett
Could be, it's huge for that type of bush. Thanks Tom
Like a feather
Lol!!! You know it
To tarp or not to tarp in mulch. I use a tarp.
This hasn't been mulched in 3 yrs. So for me I want to get the old out and set up for next season. Makes it easier on me in March. I am not a tarp fan
👍👍
Thanks brother 💪
No bee nests , Doc!? Hedge season i have two cans bee bomb..
I literally have not seen many bees this year. Nice brother!!
👍
Good to see you buddy
Looks like an A/C unit in there. I would cut a couple of those down. A/C unit can't get air to it.
It is and I got back there and trimmed quite a bit away from it!
I love shrubs. Lol, I ask myself why they plant so many.
Lol. I love making them look good
