I was at this concert. It was the best and worst night of my life. Long story. Glad I made the concert against all odds.

Amazing material. It's a shame most of this set was not played after the Turnstiles tour.

This is the only version of angry young man I know of where he sings a B after the first verse on the “He likes to be known as the angry young man...OhhOhh..” making it a 7th chord as he plays the C chord. Favorite Rendition!

@@davidperfetti3383 I love stuff like this, which is why I love live shows. He actually starts on the D, making it a 9th, but yeah, that's really nifty. It's so interesting how he has added & subtracted little riffs & details of many of his songs over the years, and for me every song seems to have a "sweet spot" era.
      Anyway, great observation there.

I don't think that was intentional. Maj7 chords are illegal in rock n roll. I'm lobbying for decriminalization, but it's a long, hard fight.

And his band...just perfect. A singer-songwriter couldn't ask for better support musicians. Liberty DiVito is a drumming icon.

I'm an "edgey", even "alternative", smart, introspective "grungey" music listener, and I think Billy is an exceptional musician who transcends genres. I love Billly Joel the way I love Van Halen. Music is God and whether that is Billy Joel or Van Halen, they are equal in divine. You take all of it, for what it is, and love having been enriched by what you have just heard. Go forth, haven't been rocked.
