- To achieve full ACCESS functions and performance, the original Horus X10/S users need the ACCESS upgrade kit (ISRM RF module and PARA wireless trainer module). This seems to be the most incredible request to have a customer try to do. I've been in SMT since the 70's.
i agree, i would be able to do this too, but you can't assume everyone will and you know some people will messup the borad due to impatience.

Does the PARA module have to be replaced to use ACCESS or will only replacing the RF module suffice? I've never used the trainer module.
On my X10S I replaced only my ISRM RF board without touching the PARA module. Everything works perfectly, including ACCESS RXs, ACCST, OTA.
That’s helpful because I don’t want to risk screwing up a soldering pad on the para module
Just beware when doing the Para board, best to pull the right (from the front) Model Select Dial off first otherwise it might run and hide under the sofa like mine did. ;-)
I purchase this kit for my X10/s. I have followed the Install video to the letter using surface mount soldering gear. After installation it would not work. I was then informed I needed Opentx version 2.3.3. As I was at 3.3.1 I waited. So now I have the release version of Opentx 2.3.3-RC1 and still it doesnt work. Have tried both the Express firmware as well as the X10/s version 2.3.3RC1 still nothing. With the Express firmware loaded I get "WRONG PCB" What should I do??
hen van Use 2.3.3 x10 only, not express version. Check the "internalaccess" checkbox in setup and download the firmware. You will also need to install 1.1.5 ISRM firmware from FRsky.

No. The upgrade module only works for 2.4ghz ACCESS capable receivers.

I just bought up a supply of ACCST receivers. I'm not buying a new radio just for ACCESS, They can shove it.

What are the differences between old BT and PARA BT Module? Does the old BT module work with access Firmware? Can you post a link to your homepage, where all this things are described?

No on both counts, this really is a major mess and must be doing the brand a lot of damage.

Hope you cone out with an upgrade for the qx7s. I got mine just before access was Released And now I’m stuck with a radio that obsolete and can’t be updated and it’s only a few months old.
What do you need ACCESS for?
@@MWXYT Because Frsky is going to discontinue all ACCST receivers in response to Jumper cloning.
I can't imagine this video is made from Frsky. Clean your table, wear gloves (it's a commercial video, it must be as clean as possible), use the right tools for the job... cutting duct tape with pliers, soldering with an iron too big, etc etc..
Looks aweful from the brand itself.

It's Kapton tape which is heat resistant. We used in the Space Shuttle and other rockets.

@@joanS12 As in not duct tape. Personally I would have used solder paste and reflow instead of a soldering iron as well.
The access protocol should have been just a software update for all radios. Not this disabling of common protocols and splitting of existing models over new ones.
I don't believe Spektrum / Futaba / Flysky would offer such an upgrade, you would have to purchase a whole new radio.
Sadly my x10s will be the last I own I'm not happy with the crossfire conflict not this bs... ya I'm done if I'm going to a closed loop system I'm going with TBS at least they made there name being a brand you can trust.

LOL you cant buy the new Tx board.
It would appear there are 2 different para boards as the one I got only works with the Express firmware which it shouldn't as there is a specifice non Express firmware that should be used, this did not work for me! This whole fiasco is without doubt the worst thing Frsky have done and is ruining there reputation, shouldn't be this hard!!!
So let me get this correct , to use the new ASSESS receivers on my lovely NEW Horus X10 Express
one has to ATTEMP this operation??? If this is the case FORGET IT I will just shelve the new Archer
