You need to stand with your hips, legs facing forward. Standing sideways is too slow to perform the kicks, as you have to turn you body into position prior to kicking - in competitions opponents will see it coming a mile off.
@@BlackEagleMartialArts, thank you so much! I learned to write Hangul long time ago when I started training taekwondo. There is nothing better than Hangul when it comes to reading Korean terms for taekwondo. I hope one day I can learn Korean language properly. ❤️

But the axe kick uses power when coming down
@@mr._riuzzz 30 years ago I remember I used to do the axe kick with my heel instead of the sole , it's more effective

Ollyo Chagi is a rising kick with a straight knee, while Ap Chagi is a front snap kick. I hope this helps!
