Thanks a lot for the hints and tips, much appreciated.
I've got an Ifor Williams TT 3017 tipper, 2023 model year which has already got the remote connector fitted ex factory for charging the battery.
If you would like to get a picture I'm happy to mail it to you.
What towing vehicles have you got?
I use a Land Rover Discovery 4, a Ford Ranger and a Ford New Holland TS618 tractor.

Hi thanks for your comment, glad they have upgraded and started putting a charging port on them by default that's great news. I would highly recommend the cover plate for hydraulic tank. I did send an email out to all dealers and ifor williams on that year's ago so not sure if they have done anything with that. Yes be good to see standard charging fitting nowadays, could you add a picture on my facebook group "kingr8 lifestyle and farming", your welcome to join the group also if you wish. I have a landcruiser that I tow it with or I connect it up to the small same frutetto 75 which is a great little work horse.

When you tailgate sand or gravel, will The remote reach your vehicle, like a transit tipper? Is that the whole point of having the chains, so you set them tip and drive?

yes the remote will reach the cab the lead is long enough, but wouldn't drive that way. another mod video coming on that. however the idea of the chains is that you can get an even spread as you slowly drive forward rather than it all tipping out in one lump which you then have to spread. just saves a bit of time is all.

We’re did you get the material from to make the cover

Any tarpauline manufacturer should be able to supply or make a cover for you. it is the same material used for the manufacture of truck side curtains.
