Great video bro dr Doolittle on the birds soon mate Kevin the canary in no time ;)
Thanks for your comment bro, yep the bird warbler is more for fun than anything else lol. Frustrating to start with its like your blowing through the mouthpiece of a trumpet without the trumpet, just pushing air and no noise lol
Very interesting and informative advice. Thanks a bundle!! Excuse the pun!
Thanks for your comment glad you liked it more too come
Great video bro very interesting to see you and machines working together
cheers bro, the machines do the work, lifting and throwing around 1000s of them bales is a young man's game. it's a bit like drinking in your older years it takes ages to get over it.
Good handy top tip bro 👍👍
Thanks bro love the pun lol 😆
Great informative video bro :) keep em coming
Thanks for your comment glad you liked it
Thanks a lot for the hints and tips, much appreciated. I've got an Ifor Williams TT 3017 tipper, 2023 model year which has already got the remote connector fitted ex factory for charging the battery. If you would like to get a picture I'm happy to mail it to you. What towing vehicles have you got? I use a Land Rover Discovery 4, a Ford Ranger and a Ford New Holland TS618 tractor.
Hi thanks for your comment, glad they have upgraded and started putting a charging port on them by default that's great news. I would highly recommend the cover plate for hydraulic tank. I did send an email out to all dealers and ifor williams on that year's ago so not sure if they have done anything with that. Yes be good to see standard charging fitting nowadays, could you add a picture on my facebook group "kingr8 lifestyle and farming", your welcome to join the group also if you wish. I have a landcruiser that I tow it with or I connect it up to the small same frutetto 75 which is a great little work horse.
When you tailgate sand or gravel, will The remote reach your vehicle, like a transit tipper? Is that the whole point of having the chains, so you set them tip and drive?
yes the remote will reach the cab the lead is long enough, but wouldn't drive that way. another mod video coming on that. however the idea of the chains is that you can get an even spread as you slowly drive forward rather than it all tipping out in one lump which you then have to spread. just saves a bit of time is all.
Awesome footage bro another great video :)
Cheers bro 👌
great find on this fault thank you saves ours having to go in for the same fault now you have saved me time and money A+++
Yep started slowly then just went all together glad weren't driving at speed at the time. As the steering wheel went like a dead or alive track "you spin me right round baby right round .... lol"
thanks for a great but easy tip i can safely test my fences now without self tazering myself everytime
Lol yep been there done that, so quick and easy with this method.
great idea and nice clear description of carrying out the mods thank you
Thank you, yep love these trailers, a few minor tweaks here and there but what a unit and brings a smile to my face each time go to the refuse centre to tip.
great descriptive video on a common issue and good advise on a permanent fix :)
Thanks for the comment 👍 yep the hydraulic couplings make it a lot simpler fitting together.
Excellently explained useful video. Thanks. Hopefully a few manufacturers may call upon you to test their products.your explanations and demonstrations are first class. Thanksonce more
thanks for your comment, yes just glad it's working again with full pressure in the right place 😆
Very useful and safety device. Thanks
thanks for your comment, yes got to be careful, you certainly don't want to wear one when it comes down
Excellent and most useful video, some good advice given. Thanks and well done.
yep pre-emptive steps before it becomes a thaaanggg
Thanks for this just got one tonight found your vid 👍 NZ
Hi thanks for your comment and glad you like the video, Yep it's a great product put one on the misses car, so if I am not there and she hooks up the farm trailer (50mm) or has to go to hirepool and pick up something (1-7/8) it is so easy to swap over with very little effort, we had one with a pin that you had to remove prior to this and the misses found it hard to remove the pin as it would sometimes jam in place and needed to be persuaded out. Lol
Another awesome video bro keep em coming :)
cheers bro
Great ideas , thanks for sharing your modifications 👍🏼
No Problem, Glad they may be of assistance to yourself and others, not sure if you subscribed, but will upload more here as I complete additional improvements. Do you have an ifor williams too and is it the same ie a tipper..?
Great walk round video bro loving the hat very Indiana jones :)
Cheers bro, yep love the hat, I wear it a lot in summer cause it's vented at the top.
@@kingr8 suits you bro good one
Awesome video bro love the clarity or the tree colours and images in general
Cheers bro it was a good trip, we had a great time exploring
Worked perfectly 👌
Thank you glad it helped
Looks like we may check the resistance of the clutch before going through the trouble of taking it out. You mentioned 0.2 ohm to 4 ohm did you mean 2.0 to 4 ohms? 0.9 to 1.0 is greater than 0.2? If its a winding I would expect it to measure close to a short.
Hi thanks for content, yes a resistance check would be good as a check prior to removal I already knew i had a problem with the clutch thus showing the removal for video. Removing also enables you the ability to check the wiring on the underside of the clutch in case of a bare / frayed wire causing an intermittent issue. Which might not be picked up on the initial test. Ref ohms probably had on wrong setting on multi meter lol
Chur Bro, it was certainly good to watch and capture. Carolines first view of the Aurora and it did not fail to disappoint. Just beautiful.
Beautiful video bro ;)

We’re did you get the material from to make the cover
Any tarpauline manufacturer should be able to supply or make a cover for you. it is the same material used for the manufacture of truck side curtains.
Just bought this helmet today looking forward to it
you will love it, it's a fantastic lid i have no complaints whatsoever. it's a pleasure to put on and weld with.
not in a globalized society.
Older trailers in Australia sometimes have 1-7/8 Inch couplers fitted as factory original. I'll get one of these to tow my Lightburn trailer.
Yes we have 1-7/8 over here in NZ but our ifor williams is 50mm. This makes it so fast to swap between. I typically leave both ball types off and in my glove compartment. Just in case someone decides to be funny and remove the ball whilst parked up. Will only find out when to go to hitch up trailer the next time that it is missing.
Really useful tip and advice many thanks from UK
Hi many thanks for your comment.

Hi many thanks for your comment.
A very good and most useful tip. Ifor Williams top notch trailers over the world. Hopefully your advice and tips will be taken up by them, making their trailers even better. Safety and non pollution is a fantastic and good idea. Thanks
Hi many thanks for your comment.
Actually you don't want to tighten it up all the way before you start cranking. You want to give it about 3 or four rounds before it actually starts to tighten up. It is held tight by friction and if you pull the strap all the way tight, there won't be enough strap for it to grab onto itself and when going over bumps it can work loose. The looser it gets the worse it gets and soon your straps will be flapping and you'll have to pull over and adjust them. Giving it a few rounds first prevents this.
Hi thanks for your comment please referto description and other comments. "Hi, All many thanks for your comments regarding having at least 3 turns of strap around the turnbuckle / ratchet Further to this if there is an element of compressability within the load (Hay Bales) or space between the items you are securing that can reduce upon tightening then pull tight as you can as you will get the three turns during compression if you were to start loose this can fill the ratchet space with strap not permitting aditional tightening to continue therefore the user will need to undo completely, pull more slack through to tighten and again re-tighten. This video was my intention to get a quick demo out to people with as many tips as possible. The above ref the 3 turns would have taken more time to explain than was available within the permitted time allocation. However a longer "long-form" video with greater detail explaining all the other nuances of ratchet straps and securing loads etc will be available on my channel. Again many thanks for watching the video and commenting"
This man looks like hes about to transport a dinosaur
😆
How about cut the extra 20’ off your strap. It’s not like with that cage you need all that extra.
Hi thanks for your comment, it was a demo to show people how to do it, typically I keep my straps as long as possible as we have a farm and use them for a variety of reasons. However if I was securing the same load to the same trailer each time ie strapping down say a zero turn mower to a trailer then yes I agree.
Hi, All many thanks for your comments regarding having at least 3 turns of strap around the turnbuckle / ratchet, It is great to see. Further to this if there is an element of compressability within the load (Hay Bales) or space between the items you are securing that can reduce upon tightening then this can fill the ratchet space with strap not permitting aditional tightening to continue therefore the user will need to undo completely, pull more slack through to tighten and again re-tighten. This video was my intention to get a quick demo out to people with as many tips as possible in, however with that said it is only a "shorts video" so only have 59 seconds available to get the points across, I therefore tried to get as many points in possible. The point above ref the 3 turns would have taken more time to explain than was available within the permitted time allocation. However a longer "long-form" video with greater detail explaining all the other nuances of ratchet straps and securing loads etc will be available on my channel. Again many thanks for watching the video and commenting.
After you feed the strap through the Buckle you want to leave at 12 in off of your surface so that is you ratchet down you get at least three full turns on the Buckle cylinder
Many thanks for your comment 👍 yes please refer to previous comments and answers.
You should hold it away from it's final point. It's best to have the strap wrapped 3 times around the rachet in order for the strap to not flex or shake loose.
Many thanks for your comment 👍 yes please refer to previous comments and answers.
Your supposed to take up more strap in the ratchet...it's a friction system it will grab against the strap rather than the frame of the ratchet...like leave it to where 3 or 4 cranks before it's tight then wrap the excess.
Hi Ben many thanks for your comment, Yes this is correct, however this is also dependent upon the load, please refer to other comments and explanations on this video. It was my intention of a very quick demo and with this being classified as a short I was trying to get as much information in to the video within the 59 seconds available. I will be making a longer "long-form" video with greater detail explaining all the other nuances of ratchet straps and securing loads etc.
Wrong. The strap needs to be loose before racheting so there are several turns on the drum to increase frictional hold.
Yeah it depends on what you're strapping he needs some slack definitely because he can pull it tight enough, if you've got a load you know will compress like hay bales then pull it tight as you can as you'll easily get 3 turns there's no hard and fast rule
Hi William, thanks for your comment. Yes, you are Correct, however, as James mentions below, it is also dependent upon the compressability of the load you are securing.
Hi James, many thanks for your comment, yes 100% hay is a perfect example 👏. If start slack, then have the potential to fill the ratchet and will then have to undo pull tight and start again. So, as you say, no hard and fast rule and purely dependent on the compressability of the load you're securing.
@@jamestheferret I think what he said holds true. His point is not load dependant. The ratchet works best with several turns on the drum while traveling.
@@Imarida2 read my comment again, "get three turns" I totally agree that a ratchet works best with multiple turns on the drum but it's how to achieve those turns is the trick. If you put a strap round a hay bale tight I'd get three turns, put it round a barrel tight I'd get one at most that's why loose is good in some situations but not others
I wouldn't put wretch strap on driver side...might get bump.
As i state in the video, The ratchet should typically always go on the passenger side of the vehicle, ( ie closest to the kerb / pathway) In UK / NZ this is on the left when facing toward the front of the vehicle. In other Countries the ratchets will need to go on the opposite side of the vehicle. Many thanks for your comment
BEST VID IV SEEN WITH STRAPS...GOOD JOB
