@Optora. At the end is all preference the corsair virtuoso xt rgb sounds just like the corsair shown here which I can't even tell the difference between that and the astro a50x so he can say top 3 I own an a50x so I say top 1 as of right now for microphone because of the software you can use ghub you can even download mic sound profiles from the community right from the app .
As an owner of a white pair, I am really loving the comfort on the stock pads and the sound. I can game for 4-5 hours straight without hotspots/discomfort. That being said, I do agree it isn’t worth 380, get it on sale. If it ever gets one lol
I have my Astro A50X, plugged into my PS5, Xbox Series X and Steam Deck, with bluetooth audio connecting to Nintendo Switch. The headset is extremely comfortable, the sound quality is exceptional (huge leap from my Gen3 A50's, which I enjoyed up until now with no issues) and the devices change seamlessly. I love it 🤷
@@DetroitFuryYeah, a bit cheaper would be nice. Here in Australia they're retailing for $750AUD 🥲 I managed to hack off half of that price by trading in old games that I don't play any more (yet another reason to keep physical alive). But it's definitely still pricey. All that HDMI switching tech I guess.
@@yomerosoy5852I think it depends on your TV's audio output capabilities. On my LG C1, I'm allowed the option of "Multiple Speakers"; so I can use that to run audio out of my headphones via bluetooth, as well as audio out of the TV's built-in speakers. Unfortunately, it doesn't allow for HDMI audio out (which is how I have my soundbar connected) and Bluetooth simultaneously. But that doesn't bother me, as I don't ever need that option.
Ok, thanks, but that's not what I meant, let me explain, with xbox you can output audio to both a headset and a tv over hdmi, and this is awesome if you want to record with a capture card and also use your headset, this isn't possible in a ps5, when you normally use a headset it mutes audio over hdmi, as the a50x uses audio from the hdmi and not from usb I was wondering if it's possible to have audio to both the a50x and the tv or does the a50x base station mutes audio to the tv when using the headset, like it only passthrough the video signal and there's no setting in the base station to also allow the passthrough of audio.

I find it funny that the price of the A50X keeps coming up yet the Nova Pro Wireless are $350. Throw in the extra $35 need for Wicked Cushions that are practically a requirement so you don't hit you ears on the ANC bumps and the price of the A50X is a non-issue. Worst part with the A50X to me is that at the price point it should have included at least 2 HDMI cables to complete setup.
It should have included at least one HDMI cable for the monitor side, from memory both my XSX and PS5 consoles came with their own HDMI cable in the box.

The Steelseries nova Pro wireless/wired are both great but to be honest only if you have a PC. Sure they work just fine with console but cant use the full potential of the headset due to Sonar only being available on PC
Choosing between the Astro A50x, Arctis Pro Wireless and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro, which one would you pick? I only play on PC but like the docking station a lot! Also I probably would have to get wicked cushions etc. for Arctis and Turtle because they are not breathable. It`s a tough decision. Also I like the mic on A50x a lot but I`m not sure if mic and docking station are worth the money... Prices rn for me are: Astro: 400€ Turtle Beach (with cushions): 285€ + 30€ Arctis Pro Wireless (with cushions): 330€ + 30€
In your opinion, what would the best headset be for apex legends? These? Turtle beach stealth? Maxwells? Novas? In the market for a good headset so your opinion would be greatly appreciated, I keep hearing different things about what's better for it
Astro A50 It's the most comfortable headset there is (and I've had several and I have a very big head)... no other comes close... so it's much better than the artics and any other from Razer... yes, it's expensive, but it's worth
Astro microphone seems the best and overall a unit of a headset. Looking to replace my SteelSeries as the earcup material has just fallen apart after 18 months.
I have them and they aren’t bad at all. Very comfortable to me, I hear all foot steps, great quality headset. My brother has the A50x and it’s the most comfortable headset I ever wore
@ for now I bought the A30s for half the price I will stick for them and save up money for them in the future or maybe wait for something new like A60s idk
You have to use the PlayStation’s 3D audio for speakers due to HDMI. Logitech recommends it in the user manual and they also said to turn off any of those measurements settings.
I got a top of the range Steele series years back for ps4 and pc and it didn't come with the ps4 connection and I flat out refused to buy it even though it was cheap. Then they died like a year later. Fast forward a few years I thought it's time to upgrade my hyper cloud 2 that I've had for years and when it broke I got a new one. So I got the artias pro two days in one of the battery's stopped charging. Returned it straight away and I'm done with steel series for life. I had Astro a40s back in the day bo1 mw3 time and I was looking at the a50 x just because it can connect to both my ps5 and pc without having to swap wires all the time. If the a40s could do it I'd get them straight away but I'm not convinced I like wireless head sets. So that probably rules out the a50s
The hdmi is only for ps5 and xbox, which cannot natively achieve the fps you are looking for anyways, however the pc input is only via usb c (though it still supports 24 bit audio)
I have the wired astro a40 tr lasted me 6years before i had the a10 that lasted me 5 (didn’t break just wanted an upgrade) what didn’t u like about the a50? Curious cuz im a astro lover. But never had the 50.
Hi furry i have these astro a50x for about two months now i really dont like them ive just ordered the new sony elite pulse because i play on ps5 and ther mainly for that but will see how they sound stay safe and happy gaming to all
I have 32GQ750-B monitor and have two HMDI 2.1 cords and followed the tutorial on how to set up Astro a50X to the PS5 did all that and I still have a black screen and when I disconnect everything and hook up just the HMDI that came with the PS5 it works
@ not unless you make them, the mids seem to take a back seat even with EQ, bass is disappointing, even though in fps games I don’t really desire it. Music and movies were just disappointing. They just seem hollow, with no real dynamics, you would just have to try them, but there are lots of Reddit post of people complaining about the exact same thing. Not worth 300, I’ve tried headsets that are 120$ that sound better to me. Also my turtle beach stealth pro’s are just miles ahead, not in the mic department but just the over all sound, especially for hearing footsteps in fps! Also if you are a bass head, the stealths are also files ahead. The EQ software is better also. It was a very disappointing trial to say the least. Only thing I liked was the mic, not a reason to make me keep it though!
@@Amp_Edition I mainly want them because of the microphone. I have a lot of different headphones and expensive mics, but I don't want a huge mic in my face all the time. If they sound as bad as you say, I'll just buy an MMX 300 Pro and plug it into my XLR interface (with an adapter).
I'm a PS5 player only. That being said. I'm looking for a headset with game chat mix on the actual headset that actually works. From what I understand from numerous videos. This is the only headset which has this feature besides the Playstation pulse headset which I have and hate.
Old video but your only negative side point here is the price and seems like you seem advertising the Nova Pros. I got them not the X. But the one for pc and Xbox for the gf and I hate them cuz of how Complexity they have for trying to connect every time you turn the Novas on. I got the A50s and I'm looking to get the new X ones. And by far A50s have been better then Nova. Yes I can hassle with the connection issue. But either then that. They work flawless out of the box. Use the app to get more sound options and Dolby on pc. No problems there.
I'm just going to say the durability of my second gen astro a50 lasting 5 years and still using I'm finally replacing it to get the Logitech a50x I find that if I only have to buy a headset with great sound quality every 5+ years it's totally worth it, most headsets I have ever had broke at the adjusters from putting them on several occasions. Just get what you pay for I guess
In my opinion. These sound better than the nova pros. I actually got the nova pros over the other a50’s. The bass sounds more natural and deeper on these than the arctis. The arctis does have probably louder bass just not cleaner. The nova pros also seem to get twice as loud in overall volume. I actually made a comparison video of the Astro gen 3 vs steelseries arctis pros. And back then I have the nod to the arctis. I would reverse it now for the a50x.
Recently went from A50 gen 4 to nova pro wireless 🛜 first set Wouldnt charge any battery 🪫 and second set one battery is dead 💀! Plugged into headset and used usb cable to try and charge and headset just beeps constantly, also mic 🎤 is annoying getting it out ! Quickly trying to find the mute button when your baby is crying or your g/f asks you a personal question so you don’t annoy your squad ! Amount of times I would go for mute button and hit power button ! Astro so much easier flip mic up done 👍🏻
It's weird you keep saying Steel series is better for mic yet Astro was better IMO. Steel series mic makes it sound echo. I hate steel series. Honestly your review sounds very biased and probably get sponsor. You just keep talking about price. Price isn't an issue for most ppl who work and can afford it.
i have a a50 gen4 before,i use less than a year, the headphone can't connect the deck,i tried hard reset it doesn't work,i got a new one because it is in warranty time, but the same problem happened again,2 headphones i can used less than 2 years,no more logitech.....
Steel Series headset are great....HOEWEVER their long term durability is HORRIBLE they all break at the same spot for those that keep them year plus. All of their high tier headsets attach on that single circular point. Its PLASTIC. If a company called steel series used metal to reinforce that attachment point they would probably last forever with good care. But they would cut their bottom line. This to me is a intentional design flaw and why i wont buy steel series anymore. I loved them until they broke and you can look it up 80% of the broke ones on the internet all break they same way.
@DetroitFury Google "Steel Series Break" hit images literally a bunch of pictures showing they break at the same point. You may not but the masses have issues with them. Buyer beware on Steel Series durability.
i will never buy another steel series headset their build quality is straight up garbage they don't deserve anyones money and anyone that recommends them is a shill they add all those features and completely cheap out on build quality
Mic quality between the Astro A50X and HS80 are very close. I just don’t like the HDMI connection style of the A50X. It should have just been 2 or 3 USB ports, similar to the Arctis Pro Wireless for simplicity.

Prices rn for me are:
Astro: 400€
Turtle Beach (with cushions): 285€ + 30€
Arctis Pro Wireless (with cushions): 330€ + 30€
I would buy the arctis.....if u don't like it u can return it and go for the ASTRO a50x🫡
Don’t get the artics go with the A50X or the Audeze Maxwells
In your opinion, what would the best headset be for apex legends? These? Turtle beach stealth? Maxwells? Novas? In the market for a good headset so your opinion would be greatly appreciated, I keep hearing different things about what's better for it
PC38x. Best headset!! Best Audio. I had all different types of headsets but the PC38x are hands down the best headset I have ever owned

Why don''t the A50 X control system volume on PC like every other gaming headset, especially the Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed?
funny to cause they are owned by logictech
The nova pro wireless mic is so bad how is that a $350 headset
You want a great headset..? Look into the PC38x. Best headset I have ever bought. Only $160 and the best audio I have ever had in game.
I have them and they aren’t bad at all. Very comfortable to me, I hear all foot steps, great quality headset. My brother has the A50x and it’s the most comfortable headset I ever wore
@@KingofGreats23hes talking about the mic which is indeed terrible
Do you think that the A50 gen 5 at a discount would be a good option ?
Absolutely
@ for now I bought the A30s for half the price I will stick for them and save up money for them in the future or maybe wait for something new like A60s idk
I've tried MANY other gaming headsets and Astro's comfort is next level.
When it comes to Brazil ?! what i thik litle master detroit?
Yes
What about if your coming from PlayStation headset 3d audio to the Astro a50x??
You have to use the PlayStation’s 3D audio for speakers due to HDMI. Logitech recommends it in the user manual and they also said to turn off any of those measurements settings.
24 seconds in. Newcomer and I just love the energy. New subscriber.
Do me a favor. When focusing on one product. Keep it based on one product
Give it a try if u don't like it u can always return it
@@DetroitFury ordered a50x arriving today, hopefully I can get them to work
Do these limit fps on pc due to its HDMI output? I have a 480fps monitor, would be a shame if I can’t use it
The hdmi is only for ps5 and xbox, which cannot natively achieve the fps you are looking for anyways, however the pc input is only via usb c (though it still supports 24 bit audio)
What’s the best head set to get for gaming. I just got the a50 x today and saw this video after😂and I hated buying but I’ll exchange so
I have the wired astro a40 tr lasted me 6years before i had the a10 that lasted me 5 (didn’t break just wanted an upgrade) what didn’t u like about the a50? Curious cuz im a astro lover. But never had the 50.
Checking my best gaming headsets video
Hi furry i have these astro a50x for about two months now i really dont like them ive just ordered the new sony elite pulse because i play on ps5 and ther mainly for that but will see how they sound stay safe and happy gaming to all
Awesome!! Hope all is well, I'm reviewing those as well🫡
Hope you have a good experience with the Pulse Elite. Found the bass to be lacking and mic quality was very mediocre.
Can you recomend a custom audio for COD warzone with thise Astro a50x?
I have 32GQ750-B monitor and have two HMDI 2.1 cords and followed the tutorial on how to set up Astro a50X to the PS5 did all that and I still have a black screen and when I disconnect everything and hook up just the HMDI that came with the PS5 it works
Do you have fix this i have the same problem ?
Now they released the A50 gen 5, no hdmi switch, but lower price 299, with same drivers and mic!
The X is 50 euros more expensive where I live. I honestly don't care about that price difference.
@ I already returned them, they sound dark with no personality
@@Amp_Edition Aren't these supposed to sound brighter than some other headsets?
Astro and Corsair seemed to have the best mic
Good video man! Dam 380 though? 😮
It’s $380 because of the HDMI switcher
😂😂
$750 Australian dollars in Australia! Current exchange rate should make it $580....
Terrible! I hate it sometimes...way better in arctis nova pro in terms of charging
I don't know it sounds like this guy's an artist pro fanboy. Am I the only one that thought darkness pro when he talked out of it had the worst mic
I think logitech is putting their parts into the new headsets.
I like your video and review style. Sub brother.
I dont know how people like Steele Series headphones those are uncomfortable, the sound is awful.
I never had an issue...maybe I'm luckyyy
0:51 Seriously no Asian?
Does it even come with an hdmi 2.1 cable???
🔥🔥🔥
💯💯
Overpriced POS with bugs
😂🫡
For $380 and only a 24 hour battery 😅
How the fck long are you gaming at a time?? lol. Just put it on the charger overnight, that’s why the stand exists.
😂😂
@@db-ro6ui your 100% right, just the fact that headsets under $200 have like 70 hours plus.
Nah this dude us a Steele series fanboy it was easy to see the Astros sounded the best
