Since this is a video about wonyoung i would like to mention some things i like about her that arent related to her visuals : 1. Her Captivating stage presence when i first saw an eleven stage around the time ive debuted i was caught by wonyoungs stage presence she is very center material and is able to showcase ive's concept well 2.Her voice and how sweet it is wonyoung usually starts the songs or gets a chorus part i think the main reason is that her voice suits these parts just like her stage presence her voice was able to grasp my attention it sounded very sweet kinda cheesy but in a good way. No wonder she gets the chorus parts because her voice suits catchy and killer parts. 3.Her work ethic Wonyoung is by far the busiest ive member she has a bunch of brand deals and does a lot of photoshoots and is invited to many fashion shows not to mention she is also an mc and has been doing an amazing job at it and obviously her main ive schedules and practice's but somehow she is able to remain calm and never looks stressed out i remember watching the members learning the choreo for their last comeback and i was surprised that wonyoung was calm and didnt seem tired or anything cause you'd expect with all her schedules she would be tired most of the time but she didnt seem to be even though she most likely was she didnt appear to. I think people should stop referencing that one interview where she says that as long as what is said about her isn’t true, then she doesn’t care. Many people use that video to claim she’s unaffected, and while I would be beyond glad if she was, I don’t think it’s relevant to show that interview now. The interview was in 2021, around IVE’s debut - the hate wasn’t as ridiculously big as today. So much has changed since then. I just want DIVES to stop using that video to make her appear untouchable - she is not. Claiming that she is not affected is just deshumanising her. For a while i only stanned wonyoung because of how much hate she recived not for her, as i have gotten to know her better i have grown to love her for her and her talent. How she manged ro do this from 13 years old to now with all that hate and continuing to be put together for us DIVES is impresseive. For example, Jeanette McCurdy was forced to work with Dan Schneider (a creeper) and developed multiple EDs along with alcoholism. She at one time weighed only 80 something pounds. She even had a relationship with a man on set almost twice her age when she was about 18. The public only viewed her as Sam as iCarly which she resented. So I mentioned the mom part because its in the title but the book deals with many things that aren't that.

She doesn't speak like a pretty princess and is quite goofy and funny behind the scenes, but she is very keenly aware of when she is being filmed or watched by fans or reporters. Her story from her transition to IVE is also a bit sad. Have you ever wondered why IVE debuted at such an odd time, right in the middle of year end shows that usually eclipse any releases during that period? By two separate accounts I've been told from idols I originally met through PFW and their US activities, IVE was slated to debut earlier in the fall but had to be pushed back when Wonyoung went behind the agency's back to get plastic surgery when she was told she would have a similar image in the group as iZ*ONE, so she forced their hand as best she could. Apparently this all capped off with her being severely underweight and refusing to eat anything until she was brought to a hospital to be intubated and fed through a tube. Her parents are also allegedly very big stage parents and have pushed Wonyoung to do anything that will raise her popularity, even if it that meant taking away her food or making her practice as a kid. Again, aside from Wonyoung's personality which is based on my actual experience with her through Miu Miu, the other is secondhand knowledge, so feel free to take it or leave it. I trust who it came from, but my trust isn't worth much when I am just a random person on the internet to anyone reading.

Maybe Starship needs to show her personal side more, behind scenes stuffs. Starship is notorious for prohibiting Wonyoung and Yujin from being together with ex Izone members in front camera and public. That does not anything good for both girls. And Starship should try to distribute public’s focus and attention more evenly among all Ive members. Yujin gets her share but other 3 members? I don’t know. For example, when they do promotional activities in Japan, they should put Rei in center position. Rei is a Japanese after all. But Starship is hellbent on putting Wonyoung in the center position no matter what. When all public’s focus and attention are on one person, the person will get most love but most hate at the same time. Le Sserafim and New Jeans do not have fixed center position, they alternate the center position depending on songs, visuals, and the market they goto. Starship may need to same thing. When you put everything on just one person, things will get break sooner or later.

I’m gonna guess you don’t keep up with IVE content that much. This whole narrative that only Wonyoung & Yujin get attention from the company is bull and anybody who bothers to dive into their content will see how many solo activities the other girls get. Wonyoung & Yujin will get more opportunities because they are already more famous than the rest of the girls due to their previous group, becoming some of the most famous idols in 4th gen. It’s unrealistic to expect for the rest of the other 4 to receive the same kind of attention from brands and publications when they are only now building a following. But even so, they are very well promoted. One of my favorite things is Rei getting the solo cover of Vogue Japan one year into her career, being the second ever kpop artist to do so. Some of the achivements these other girls have are amazing considering their short career. If people actually paid attention to them they would know that, but it seems like the kpop community gaslight themselves into thinking only Wonyoung & Yujin are being pushed and promoted which couldn’t be further than the truth.
As a kpop ( former) fan since I was literally a 7 years old child and now I am 22 , I have somethings to say about wonyoung . I am not going to lie I really didn't like her when she first appeared on TV back in 2018 .. I thought she was too much and basically every word she is being called still now , well I was very young myself and I thought throwing judgments and hating someone just because was cool (FML LOL ) . However, I have two interpretations of why wonyoung act this way, either she is being forced by her company to act such a way mainly to bring more attention to them and to the group , or , she is being FREAKING smart and she is basically pulling an act and a face mask of this walking PERFECTION she seems like a main character in an early 2000s teen movie, almost like a cosplay mainly to protect herself and keep her privacy . Kpop idols are facing hate left and right for being authentically themselves, shuhua got hate for literally setting BOUNDARIES on what she likes and what she doesn't , and list if kpop girlies facing hate and judgments for showing who they truly are as if being in such a fucked up industry isn't a pressure already . Think about it , everything about wonyoung is a mystery , she seems to hide so many things about her personality and personal life , from a perspective this act drive people to always speak about her and always wondering , and also privacy is a weapon , keeping some sort of mystery around you is truly a shield to you and keep people always looking for something new about you , which lead to them obsessing over you and admire you . I've always found wonyoungism odd, like how do you know she studies and does pilates ?? like i lovee wonyoung and ill be honest that i noticed her because of her looks, like others. but its sort of annoying when we see a video of wonyoung being super nice or singing live well or having good sp and the comments are just 'omg shes so pretty' 'her visuals are insane !!" like ik it doesnt have bad intentions, but its sad to see people only compliment her on looks.
The whole wonyoungism thing would make more sense if she was a health/study influencer. But she ISN'T. She's a kpop idol. It's her job to sing and dance, not to do pilates and yoga. Wonyoungism puts more pressure on her to extend her 'perfection' to even more areas. We don't even know much about her health and study habits.

For example, Jeanette McCurdy was forced to work with Dan Schneider (a creeper) and developed multiple EDs along with alcoholism. She at one time weighed only 80 something pounds. She even had a relationship with a man on set almost twice her age when she was about 18. The public only viewed her as Sam as iCarly which she resented. So I mentioned the mom part because its in the title but the book deals with many things that aren't that.

2. Wonyoung has spoken out against people being on diets and she only does it because of being an idol
3. She is a foodie and collects food from the countries that she visits
4. She doesn't go out much and loves sleeping , she can sleep for up to 10 hours if she wasn't working
5. She only exercises 2-4 times a month and does flying yoga
6. She prefers a clean face with no make up
7. She loves a natural look more than the expensive outfits
I have seen girls that are not even dives being the ones that promote this aesthetic, real dives post about Wonyoung being funny , defending her with cool edits and Wonyoung being a lewser not her being perfect for the world but her being enough as an imperfect person for us !

i was wondering about that!! i’ve literally seen wonyoung say as a diet tip to “eat three meals a day otherwise you’ll binge at night.” i think her mindset is a lot healthier than a lot of the girls who are following her, which makes me nervous because i know a lot of these accounts are probably really young people.

Wonyoung, by all accounts is very sweet and friendly. She doesn't speak like a pretty princess and is quite goofy and funny behind the scenes, but she is very keenly aware of when she is being filmed or watched by fans or reporters. Her story from her transition to IVE is also a bit sad. Have you ever wondered why IVE debuted at such an odd time, right in the middle of year end shows that usually eclipse any releases during that period? By two separate accounts I've been told from idols I originally met through PFW and their US activities, IVE was slated to debut earlier in the fall but had to be pushed back when Wonyoung went behind the agency's back to get plastic surgery when she was told she would have a similar image in the group as iZ*ONE, so she forced their hand as best she could. Apparently this all capped off with her being severely underweight and refusing to eat anything until she was brought to a hospital to be intubated and fed through a tube. Her parents are also allegedly very big stage parents and have pushed Wonyoung to do anything that will raise her popularity, even if it that meant taking away her food or making her practice as a kid.
Again, aside from Wonyoung's personality which is based on my actual experience with her through Miu Miu, the other is secondhand knowledge, so feel free to take it or leave it. I trust who it came from, but my trust isn't worth much when I am just a random person on the internet to anyone reading.

I am 100% sure that if Starship didn't put her on outrageously different outfits compared to the rest of the group, getting the prettiest/most gorgeous clothes and basically being treated like a soloist during their debut she wouldn't have received a tenth of the hate she received and still does.

Maybe Starship needs to show her personal side more, behind scenes stuffs. Starship is notorious for prohibiting Wonyoung and Yujin from being together with ex Izone members in front camera and public. That does not anything good for both girls. And Starship should try to distribute public’s focus and attention more evenly among all Ive members. Yujin gets her share but other 3 members? I don’t know. For example, when they do promotional activities in Japan, they should put Rei in center position. Rei is a Japanese after all. But Starship is hellbent on putting Wonyoung in the center position no matter what. When all public’s focus and attention are on one person, the person will get most love but most hate at the same time. Le Sserafim and New Jeans do not have fixed center position, they alternate the center position depending on songs, visuals, and the market they goto. Starship may need to same thing. When you put everything on just one person, things will get break sooner or later.

I’m gonna guess you don’t keep up with IVE content that much. This whole narrative that only Wonyoung & Yujin get attention from the company is bull and anybody who bothers to dive into their content will see how many solo activities the other girls get. Wonyoung & Yujin will get more opportunities because they are already more famous than the rest of the girls due to their previous group, becoming some of the most famous idols in 4th gen. It’s unrealistic to expect for the rest of the other 4 to receive the same kind of attention from brands and publications when they are only now building a following. But even so, they are very well promoted. One of my favorite things is Rei getting the solo cover of Vogue Japan one year into her career, being the second ever kpop artist to do so. Some of the achivements these other girls have are amazing considering their short career. If people actually paid attention to them they would know that, but it seems like the kpop community gaslight themselves into thinking only Wonyoung & Yujin are being pushed and promoted which couldn’t be further than the truth.
As a kpop ( former) fan since I was literally a 7 years old child and now I am 22 , I have somethings to say about wonyoung . I am not going to lie I really didn't like her when she first appeared on TV back in 2018 .. I thought she was too much and basically every word she is being called still now , well I was very young myself and I thought throwing judgments and hating someone just because was cool (FML LOL ) . However, I have two interpretations of why wonyoung act this way, either she is being forced by her company to act such a way mainly to bring more attention to them and to the group , or , she is being FREAKING smart and she is basically pulling an act and a face mask of this walking PERFECTION she seems like a main character in an early 2000s teen movie, almost like a cosplay mainly to protect herself and keep her privacy . Kpop idols are facing hate left and right for being authentically themselves, shuhua got hate for literally setting BOUNDARIES on what she likes and what she doesn't , and list if kpop girlies facing hate and judgments for showing who they truly are as if being in such a fucked up industry isn't a pressure already . Think about it , everything about wonyoung is a mystery , she seems to hide so many things about her personality and personal life , from a perspective this act drive people to always speak about her and always wondering , and also privacy is a weapon , keeping some sort of mystery around you is truly a shield to you and keep people always looking for something new about you , which lead to them obsessing over you and admire you .
