Too bad he's clearly hit his limit in Super. The super dragon ball tournament showed conclusively even with every trick in the book he's not on the same level as the saiyans anymore. Perhaps Hit is Piccolo's replacement?
I'm aware of that! I like character building as the next but to see the progress over the years and how they adapt to situations like with piccolo here like he waited many years to be prepared for someone that's stronger regardless.

Hell, they could make Piccolo relevant again by having that super Namekian's planet get destroyed in the fight with Freiza and so the unfathomably strong warrior drifts the universe without a home wiping out the Freiza clan and Bapidi only to find Piccolo at the cross universe tournament invited by that universes god of destruction.
After the tournament the super Namekian sees passion and a purpose in Piccolo, something he has lost since destroying the last frost demon and this super namekian offers to be absorbed by Piccolo to aid him and to finally find a home spiritually and literally. Pretty sure then Piccolo might be up to SSB level if not SSG itself.

-The fights (choerography) in episodes 24 and the second half of ep 25
-And that its a retelling
People like you only focus in this flaws but you forget everything that is good:
-The supersaiyan god and supersaiyan god supersaiyan god supersiyan transformatinon
-The good animation in episodes 1,2,3,11,12,13,,14,15,16,19,20,21 and 22
-Goku punching Krillin
-Episode 18 with Goku and Vegeta training
-The character development in Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin
-The foreshadowing of a future training for Gohan
-Freezer being cold bastard.
This are some of the good parts of db super that i dont see anyone talking about, but hey if there is something bad lets shit in the series.
In ep 19, the animation was great, and then people began to complain because they thought that Toei used the same frames from the movie. In BoG people complained because the fight was short, and then in Super they complained cause the pacing was very long.
In the movie people complained about Freezer not being a threat, and now people complained about how Freezer was owning Goku. In the movies the people complained abotu how ther was no sense of danger , in db super, Beerus freaking stabed Goku , Freezer tortured Gohan, Piccolo died, and Gohan was almost killed 2 times.
A better example is episode 6, when i rewatched it because people was saying that it was shit, i saw that the only thing wrong was the two left hands of Vegeta, and guess what? i didnt realize that until someone posted screenshot and in dragon ball there are errors like this one also.
Now people complained about the transformations lookin "gay", my god, what do you not underastan of that a sgss is just a regular supersaiyan using god ki, and the only original transformation is the Ozaru and ssj4, the others are just Goku with longer hair. Now you will say: "but db and dbz animation was made in the 90s; and?, this is freaking made in a week while in the 90s they had more time for work and honestly i like making drawings and i honestly think that is eaier make something by hand draw than by computer (as always that i try to draw in paint i only make shit).
Im not defending super's flaws cause i know that this show is not at dbz's level yet and that it have a lot of things to improve, but seeing complaints like this one that completely ignores anything good and just focus on the bad parts, i'm like "People is mad" If you dont like the show cause you just dont like it, i respect your opinion, if you dont like it cause its a retelling, i respect your opinion, if you dont like it cause Toei is freaking dum, then i respect your opinion, and if you didnt like the movies, the same but if the reason is one like this one, i won't understand it

Bro this series is so dope. BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WTF IS GOING ON... I though uub was down. Where are the others? How did goku and piccolo get back to earth? Where was vegeta this whole time? I love this feeling of impending doom. I love the bad guys. I love seeing pan and her kids. So much dope shit going on that I'm having a hard time fallowing. The animation is sick. I love the fight scenes. The music and sfx is on point and even the voice actors seem passionate about this project. I keep waiting for an episode that explains everything. Even if that never happens I love this series for what it is

I like how dark and gritty absalon is. DBZ truly has the greatest fan base, props to all these alternative series on YT I remember I had to order movie 13 off of eBay on someone else's computer for 19.95 vhs from Japan overseas w my grandmas credit card lol I was so juiced, I was 12 at the time and still remember to this day. First DBZ movie I owned. Now we have the internet, only 80s babies can appreciate having all this on tap now. DBZ used to be like a taboo low key subject and fans would goto web pages just to see a super saiyan lol it was a rarity in the states because they played up until the ginyu saga out for like 5 years before releasing the dubbed episodes leading into Frieza saga. I think that's why namek saga is my favorite lol 20 yrs later we're still here!
