Sailing off anchor was always one of my favorites. Love it that you are a true sailor and adventurer. You have my total respect and admiration for your ability, your resourcefulness (incredible), and your courage! I would never hesitate to sail with you as my captain and that's saying alot. Fair winds you marvelous woman!

Hey Holly! Enjoyed your video (as I do all of them) very much. Due to health issues I'm not able to sail any more and your videos allow me to live that life vicariously once again. For years I sailed a 40' Hunter but had to sell her due to mounting medical bills. Fair winds and following seas to you. Stay safe. Love you much! 💖💖💖

I was in Maupiti in 1992, surfed through the pass in a big swell, barely made it, engine couldn't do it, threw up more sail and made it over the edge. When we looked up once we made it through, there were people on shore cheering us through, it was the scariest thing that I have ever done

Hi Holly! Huahine was our first trip to the South Pacific! We spent two weeks there at a pension before returning to Burlington VT in April 1985 (Brrrr). We later traveled to both Cook Islands and Fiji. We dove the Great Astrolabe Reef off Kadavu. Soft coral is amazing! I hope you get to dive it. Be safe, and have fun!

How did you manage to stay in FP for as long as you did? Did you have to keep renewing your tourist visa on a regular basis, or were you granted some special kind of stay/status due to the C19 situation? Would 3 months on a normal tourist visa be enough time in the area otherwise?

The thoughts are called 'free association' - one of my favorite things. However here on land it typically takes a float tank or some solid meditation to get it done. At least for me.

Hi Holly, When you attached the payee to the post for the lee cloth it would have been better to attach it to the side 180 degree so that there would be no way it would ever pull out the screws. You would then attach a loop of rope to attach the lee cloth line. Cheers André in Sydney. I hope you get to see our wonderful Great Barrier Reef, Lord How Islands etc.

Hellooooo! I'm a new subscriber. I'm really impressed that you can sail and work on your own mechanical engineering by yourself. You're young! 😆. How did you get involved with sailing? Was it your dad? I'm in love with watching sailing videos and vlogs people make. My uncle was going to become a sailor, but then decided not to because unfortunately, my whole immediate family including myself has become so ill. My parents have already passed away, and I'm dealing with cancer. Yeah. 🤮🤮🤮
That ocean is just GORGEOUS!!!! I can never seem to get enough of the RUclips videos having anything to do with the waters! I can't wait to see you in Fiji. I've seen other Fiji videos and vlogs and it's gorgeous out there too. Hope to seeyou out there! Cheers for now!!! 🍻🍻🍻

Bravo! on your preventer with just a small modification. You see a proper preventer is rigged only one way, and that is from the boom end to as far forward as you can get it on the bow, and then back to a winch in the cockpit. It is all about physics; example, a proper preventer would be about 1200 pounds (540 kg) as against some 7,000 pounds (3300 kg) or more on an amidships attached alternative! Of course, on a smaller boat like yours the loads will be lower, but the strength of the gear will be lower too, so the dangers will remain. I have enjoyed your channel immensely, be safe Bo S/Y Aurora

What about when you close your eyes and the darkness mixes with the "squiggly lines in the eye fluid" and it looks like a mini firework display you can chase with them would the primary colour be yellow? would it mix with only other yellows? - I think it would be cool if you could specify where the glowing was but I think it would be a hindrance for sure :(

You’re clearly incredibly expert and utterly competent, but as others have said before, it’s so alarming to see you that you don’t secure yourself all of the time in the event that you fall in other than when it’s stormy. I can’t stop thinking about that when I watch your excellent videos. Is it something you worry about or just accept the risk for the freedom it gives you on the boat?

I admire your commitment to sailing. To my mind, using a fuel powered as opposed to wind powered device to move around, is kind of cheating. Obviously they are sometimes necessary but not always! I was surprised to see that your dinghy is wind powered - how green of you! As a teen, I and my 2 brothers owned a tiny dinghy that had NO attachment for a motor - not that school boys could afford a motor or the fuel to drive one, so we disliked speed boats and the wash they created. We did have a paddle for emergency use, but seldom used it!

Almost all of the fruit that we eat today is highly GENETICALLY MODIFIED over many years to make it sweet and juicy and large.
So most prehistoric and now extinct fruit would not have been very palatable to us.
Fun fact: lemons - very sour! are not natural. They are a human created hybrid!
