Some folks just expect a carbon copy of the original, but I really loved this version. Great rendition of a great song, Grace. Liked the transition to G-shapes too.
Yeah, if I wanted the original then I’d listen to the original. Hell, I even expect slightly different versions from the original artists when they do them live.

Shari Klein I think you may be thinking of Gram Parsons. Parsons was hanging out with the band around the time the Stones ‘country ‘ phase came in... and because Parsons was.one of the primary inventors of country-rock... this has been suggested. Along with Wild Horses, which Parsons famously covered with the Burrito’s. However, I’ve never heard anything credible to claim he was more than an influence on Jagger/Richards.
