- Hey everyone! Today, I'm excited to announce the brand new Maono PD200X XLR/USB combination dynamic microphone. This microphone is an all-in-one solution for content creators, podcasters, musicians, and anyone who needs a high-quality microphone that's easy to use.
First off, the design. The PD200X has a sleek and modern look, with a matte black finish and RGB accents. It's also built to last, with a durable metal construction that can withstand the rigors of regular use.
But what really sets the PD200X apart is its versatility. You can use it with XLR or USB connections, so it's compatible with a wide range of devices.
We've also put a lot of thought into the sound quality of the PD200X. It features a dynamic capsule that's designed to capture clear and natural sound, even in noisy environments. And the built-in analog-to-digital converter ensures that your recordings will sound great whether you're using it with a computer, mixer, or other recording devices.
In this video, I'll give you a closer look at the PD200X and all of its features. I'll also share some sound samples so you can hear for yourself just how good this microphone sounds.
So, if you're in the market for a new microphone that's versatile, high-quality, and easy to use, look no further than the Maono PD200X!

IM GOING TO BUY THIS MIC NOW, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT REVIEW ON THIS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Brother thank you for this in depth review. I bought it after seeing this.
This microphone sounds great and I want to take a try
This microphone sounds great and I want to have a try
Really enjoying your mic reviews. I’m becoming a big fan of Maono and have just returned the awesome PD400X because I thought the PD100 was such a great bargain.
I was surprised that I could hear such a big difference between the USB and XLR even with basic earbuds. USB got better with some tweaking, though. Keep the cool stuff coming.
Thank you! Yes! I was so surprised by the first mic that I tried from them, the DM30. I like how well they perform out of the box. There’s is great benefit to having consistent sound without having to manipulate the mic, software or post editing and that’s what makes them so good!
Just purchased one of these after watching this review... thanks bro...Good review, especially the USB version
My pleasure!! Thank you for your kind words brother!!
Thanks for the review, I think I'm going to take the leap and snag one. I have and ROG Ally and I've been enjoying it as a second PC/screen 2 while gaming and I think it'd be fun to grab a mic for that setup so I can have discord running separate from my main PC.
Looks good quality and sounds great on both ways you can use it great review pal
Thank you!!! Yes, It's solid, I ordered a new audio interface so now I'm waiting for that to really hear what it's capable of! But, with the one that I have, it still sounded great!
Can't wait for that review pal. This mic is alot for the price your paying.
@@L3X_T3CH right!!!! Especially with software
@@CoZChristopher yeah that also looks simple to use
Can the USB and the XLR be used at the same time? For dual pc setups... Thanks for the great video!
Great review, it seems as a good microphone, does this work with an iPad using a USB adapter?
Hi can i connect it to my android phone using Type-C cable to recording ?
i want to know if it is worth it to go on this mic from fifine k658, the only thing that i dont like on pd200x is the mute button, they should put the touch response.
I can not connect to maono link for whatever reason. It keeps saying “please connect a maono product via usb” though I’m already connected
How does the PD200X compare to the Maono AU PM-422?
did you try the Maono PD400X? is this one I just mentioned better in terms of sound?
The sound is clean,i like how u went thru the software [ legacy sound was 🔥] hey Chris can u mute the Mic on your Mixer / Audio interface? With my latest mic I couldn't mute on the mic itself, but I have a stream deck so I can now mute my Mic utilizing it.The price and the actual sound of this mic is actually pretty doggone good! Great job!
Thank you!! There’s no mute on the Maonocaster! Have to turn gain off to mute the mic if it doesn’t have one on the mic itself or turn the output down. I think they know ppl usually use software when streaming and it will have built in mute ability like your Streamdeck. How do you like that? I’ve never streamed so have never bought one. But I’ve thought about it many times. Especially when they released the white version.
@@CoZChristopher yes I think u will like the stream deck, you can change scenes, assign buttons for music ,etc. Its very useful while streaming.i also have a soundbites on mine to add some fun to the audience if something crazy in the game happens...
I just got the MAONO PD200X USB/XLR Dynamic Microphone. I've tried to download the software to use with it, but the company's site keeps telling me my password isn't correct, even though I've changed it. I would like to know if I would have to purchase that software or does it come with the mic. Seems crazy to have to pay for the software as well. I also bought it to sing music with. Will it handle it? Suggestions?
If I use PD200x mic with XLR to 1/4 cable to my audio interface, Does this work??? Actually I have Audio Array AI-03............Hope you will reply
Hey, I am going to start my first podcast. I am confused if I have to buy this or the pd 100u. What would you suggest? And also please wish me luck. Thanks 🙏
Could you give some tips on how to EQ this mic?
Mine just arrived but on USB it doesnt sound like this D:
Hey! For starters, check out your sound settings and look at your advanced input options, make sure that the mic recording settings align with the mics bit depth and sample rate align at 24bit and 48kHz. Once you do that take a look at the volume levels listed under input settings and set that usually around 65% but that may vary depending on your pcs sound card. Lastly plug in some headphones so you can listen as you tweak the volume and use the Maono Link software to fine turn e after you complete the first part. Here’s a decent vid to help you with parts of that. ruclips.net/video/3MUvU4LWFrY/видео.html
what software should we use to record, audacity or obs?
If you’re audio focused, I’d say to use Audacity as it’s more audio centric while OBS is more of a streaming and utility recording tool :)
which one is better this or the pd100 u ?
nice vids btw
This one allows for more sound customization using the software. The PD100U is really good. You can take it out of the box and plug it in, and it has good sound. I really like them both. This one is great if you need dynamic range, and customization options, and it is great for post-editing, it also allows for maturation of your setup with the XLR input, but you may not need all of these features. You can not go wrong with either and they have similar sound signatures although the PD200x can be adjusted.
Hey bro, would this mic be good for vocal recording?
Yep! It would, at this price not a lot of these have this much versatility. This one has the Maono link software that allows you to adjust the signal therefore giving you more flexibility in post processing.
Crazy it looks just like the FiFine microphone lol
It does! Very similar but slightly different! You know there’s a comparison coming up!
@CoZChristopher looking forward to that comparison👀
Is basically the same as the Amplitank K688
Similar! Has software as well! I’ll do a comparison once my Audio Interface arrives. It’s back ordered :(
@@CoZChristopher yes sirrrr let’s go
Would you say it's the best microphone under $100?
That can be very subjective as there are sooooo many options under $100 and you’re needs and voice may be affected differently by each one. But, what I will say is this is a very good mic under the $100 price point. The features that it offers, versatility in usb or xlr with both being great options in sound along with their software suite makes it an exceptional value on the market! They consistently make great products so I think it is definitely a good choice!
the gain though...
Which is better HYPERX QUADCAST OR MAONO PD200X?
Well the HyperX Quadcast is a condenser mic. This means it picks up more background noise and is only USB. I personally prefer the PD200x because it’s dynamic. This means it does a better job of blocking out background noise. All other features aside that would lend to preference, I like the PD200x better.
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!
@@iantorres46 of course! Thanks for checking out the vids and stopping by!!
personal opinion, but the background during software chapter was WAY too much
Not a good mic maono pd200x. Don't buy and waste your money
