Installing a big bore kit this winter and have watched tons of videos. This one is the most comprehensive. Thank you for the details, tips, and tricks. Great video!

Erm.. regarding those cylinder head studs…
    1) the 1st one wasn’t loose, you just tightened your bolt on the stud! That was the movement.. and
    2) you probably set the torque wrench slightly higher than the factory setting allowing it to get tighter rather than being “loose”

good video Chris but a couple things get them dam wires zip tied that horn wire is a pain
i didn't see you check the oil squinters most i have done have been loose. And you don't
oil the cylinders or rings before install. Great video for people that don't no how these work

Never use assembly lube for installing the pistons. Rings won’t seat well

Really? just installed my TC88 pistons with little bit assembly lube on the rings and it works fine, perhaps don't use it excessively

I've yet to tear into my bike far enough to require a torque spec book. However, I do have a couple of questions. Why are the specs "variable" and why is the gap between the numbers SO wide ? Thank you in advance for a reasonable explanation. ~ Bear

By now Harley should be installing breather head bolts into a catch can to prevent a whole bunch of carbon and caked on oil on the tops of the pistons, Other than that, great job!! But, I understand that Harley is beholden to big government EPA who thinks they know better.

The whole reason to torque head bolts os to have it tightened precisely flat and even. That 90 degree bs totally defeats the purpose. I know it's Harley's "specs" but to me it seems inconsistent.

He should have a chart on TORQUES for what fastener. he spends forever looking up Torque specs. & He needs to learn to use a adjustable screw gun wasting time here...
