  • Class 7 Highland Bulls..First place went to Ruaridh 1st of Ubhaidh a 4year old owned by the Queen and bred by Roy Tylden - Wright.This bull also won Reserve Championship of the Show.Judge Robert Philip.Camera - Sony NEX 30 with a 18 - 200 Sony lens

    Beautiful! My daughter fell in love with the Highland Cattle years ago. She still dreams of one day raising them.

    AAAAAGH SO FLUFFYYYY. For creatures that could (and would) easily gore you to death with barely a thought, they seem as fierce as teddy bears!

    Question: Are these nose rings necessary? I don’t see these used on highland bulls here in the states. I am not judging... I want to understand.

      saltwaterpurl For safety reasons it is better they have a nose ring
      .If something spooked them the handler will be able to keep the bull under control.On a farm they are not necessary but at a public park better safe than sorry !

      Nose rings are mandatory at shows in Europe and the US alike for safety reasons.

      I use on my sweet American bull. It does not bother him but it does protect me if a situation does arise. At most shows bulls do have rings.
