DM...Just a quick one on the JPEG+RAW settings you also want to set it up to take multiple photos at once (AEB photo mode - AEB aka Auto Exposure Bracketing, is a camera mode that takes a photo at a user selected exposure alongside an underexposed and overexposed shot. Depending on which setting you choose, the camera will take either 3 or 5 shots at different exposure levels. These shots will be merged later to create one ideally exposed HDR (High Dynamic Range) image, this then means you can "Stack" and "Merge" in Lightroom and then make any adjustments you want to and export for a ultra high definition image. 🤩
It’s a beauty flying this mini three pro. I’ve own one for almost about 5 months and still exploring a whole lot . A drone with a good character !!
Not gonna lie, I'm really happy I listened to you and got protection for the drone, I learned the hard way that sometimes obstacle avoidance isnt perfect, but thankfully only a few blades were damaged and im still flying. Great video as always!

Loads of videos on drones but I always come back to yours. Good info, well presented. No jump cuts every 10 seconds etc. I have a request please. Any chance you can do a video on managing batteries (how low to run them, what level for storage, when to charge (just before a flight or immediately returning from one). Also, if possible, one on media management too. Which videos to keep, what to transfer and when. If it's worth keeping copies of the originals or not after production. Gotta be a couple of videos there at least. TIA

The first day I got a drone I was being very careful (and a bit scared tbh). I said I was only going to do a small flight. I went up 20m, and flew around 20m and most. I wanted to super safe. Then I tested out my first ever RTH, and the drone shot up to 100m into the sky (as that was what the RTH was set at). It scared the hell out of me, I had a small panic, but also very quickly made me trust the drone more. Now I always remember to check RTH settings since that day (regardless of if I want them high or low).
That RTH thing happened on my first flight too. Scared the pants off me. Why's it shot up there I wondered 😬
Just make sure to change your RTH altitude if you are indoors. Also the drone will fly and hover comfortably at 100m.
What is the best auto rth altitude? Is it the same on the max altitude? Im scared also that might be gone😂😂

Although I live in the USA, Arizona to be precise. Really enjoy your videos. If you ever visit Arizona let me know so I show you interesting areas other than the usual tourist spots like the Grand Canyon,although you can’t fly drone over it.

Hi, I've got the Mini 3 with the RC controller. After almost a year of flying I've suddenly lost all of the verbal warnings from the controller. It only beeps now and the voice prompts have all disappeared. Looking at the forums, a ton of people have had the same experience and it seems like an issue introduced after a firmware update. Have you come across this issue (yet) and, if so, have you found a solution. Cheers. Great channel by the way.

I discovered the lights don’t always flash. So, first time I tried to fly late just before dark, found out the lights don’t always flash while it’s in flight so you can see it from the ground. Can this be changed? I’d like them to flash green or amber somehow to help locate it…thanks

Hey I recently got the DJI 3 mini pro with smart controller.
I am struggling with how to transfer data to my phone. With the old controller it was hooked to my phone. Since I have gotten the new drone and controller package I can’t find an easy way to transfer files to my phone.
I have sd cards in both the drone and controller.

Thanks, question. On the loss signal RTH. If you DO have it set 50m and on its way back it encounters an obstacle in its way (say 70 m tree), won't the obstacle avoidance allow it to go around trees ? Basically, is accident avoidance enabled or disable during loss of signal RTH?
The owners manual says obstacle avoidance active in RTH procedure.
This is why you always change your RTH according to your situation.

Some good advice, but I personally wouldn’t set this model drone to 4k video. Yes, it’s the highest resolution available but the fps is too restrictive when editing. I’d recommend 2.7k so you have 60fps that can then be turned into smooth slow motion in your editing software of choice.
And here’s me flying it in my back garden and about 1 mile away on my first flight but I’ve had drones in past lmaooo
How do you get to the locations to change the camera settings, for example I use RAW on all my cameras but can't find where to change this drone to RAW. You say what to change but not how to find the settings to make the changes. Am I missing something? My first drone. Have had it a week.
to change to raw, select photos, where is says jpg in the bottom right corner, tap on it and select jpg + raw

The batteries for the mini 3 and mini 3 Pro are identical and interchangeable. This is the case for both the standard and extended capacity batteries.

There is, you have to tap the power on/off button on the drone 3 times and it should show up on the dji app on your phone. Rc has to be connected to the drone though.

Setting your max altitude to 120 m is fine if you live somewhere flat if you’re going up hills then you’re not going to be able to stay 120 m above the ground level are you

If you fly where the ground falls or rises, such as over hills, mountains or cliffs, you may need to adjust your flight path so that your drone or model aircraft is never more than 120m (400ft) from the closest point of the earth’s surface.
@@DroneKing2K yes that’s pretty much what I said but if you are going uphill and the ground underneath your drone is 100 feet higher than where you took off from then your maximum altitude needs to be 500 feet or you won’t get to 400 feet above the ground level
Just a thought, but if you update your home position as you are ascending up said mountain won't the drone know your altitude has increased and increase it's maximum altitude to match?

I can't find where to switch from 1080p to 4k. :(
Activate controller and the drone (it doesn't have to be in the air). On the controller, look at the down right corner of the screen. It should say 1080 or 2.7 (depending on your selection). Now click on that number and you will see different capture formats along with FPS. Simply click on 4k. If you don't see it, swipe left or right.

People should be aware that 4K creates massive file sizes and I personally feel that these become unmanagable. I have many DJI drones and have been flying for years. I only ever film in 1080p
It all depends on how detailed you require your shots to be. If doing a roof inspection checking lead flashing etc, 4k will always be better.

@@boatingsibbingandwandering3262 when property developer I work for ask for a specific type of photo I give them exactly what they want, regardless of file size. I have 256gb in drone and 128gb in controller so plenty of storage. Files aren't on the drone for long as they get backed up, edited up then go to the customer.
2.7 solves much of this. Can look better upsized to 4k over 1080p, still makes incredible 1080p storage
