It was fun seeing all those different trucks collecting all those trees, especially the Scorpions and the Amrep N3s. The tree at 8:20 surprised me. I seriously thought it was going to hit that car coming at the other side. I guess it just barely missed it. Great video!
lol the driver and I both aren't sure if it actually hit the car or just barely missed it. the lady stopped and looked back at the truck, but then just kept driving. thanks!
Good to see something different and unique, only happens once a year but the Christmas tree collection is pretty neat. The Santa Monica driver seemed like a pretty cool guy, 73 bins was a light load, wonder how many the small Scorpions can normally pack? Sounds like in one of your clips around the 4:00 minute mark a woman must have asked you something, probably why where you filming. Can't stand that, can't they just leave us alone, pisses me off as they can ruin a shot. The Amreps were ok too, I still find the rocker switch arm controls a bit weird compared to a joystick, I suppose they are easy when you are used to them. Just interesting that the Arizona councils use Joysticks in their Scorpions and Wayne's but in California they like to use rocker switch controls.
on an average route these trucks can get roughly 300 carts in a load. Heavy routes like the area he does on Tuesdays pack the truck to the max after 200+ bins and on light routes like what he does on Thursdays they can take upwards of 350. It's actually quite funny how much rocker switches are favored over joysticks in Greater L.A. Many haulers and companies in the area specifically request to not have joysticks put in on their trucks (no idea why).
Nice video Tony! It was really neat seeing all the trees get collected. Do the trees pack pretty well in the Amreps? It seems to get backed up at times but ends up going in the truck eventually
it all depends on how they land in the hopper. If it's a smaller tree that lands completely flat, or if it's a larger tree that lands stump first they tend to pack okay. The larger trees that go in nose first can cause some serious problems which is what was happening with the second truck in the video. Thanks!
ALIATION SNEEK I think you got GTA5 mixed up with real life los Santos is the city in GTA 5 Los Angeles Is the city you’re thinking but tbh it doesn’t really matter since los santos is heavily based off Los Angeles
Hey Wastemantony, since you post pics of many Santa Monica trucks and the interiors. Why don't you get a pic inside the bridgeport since they are entertaining in my opinion. Maybe post it on flickr or make a vid of it to put on this channel. Good luck on your channel and God bless you!

Ha that one tree got some air. Does look like it over shot the truck.
