Lot of conservation skill and patience. Great job on the MAD comic's cover spine.
Thank you Allan!
Larry it looks great! Wonderful job putting all of those fragments back together and preserving this great little comic book! What a treasure.
Thank you Dr Paul! Patient work
Came out really nice, Larry. Some extensive and tedious work there putting the puzzle pieces together. Good for you saving another piece of history. I’m working on a similar book, a Golden age Detective comics #55, albeit the cover is partially split but still attached at minor parts. Debating between leaf casting or tengujo repair (or even both). The book is tanned and crispy and really could use some conservation repairs.
Peter, thank you. if your leaf casting skills are up to the task, that’s what I would do. For me, I am still learning. I would love to lead cast at the level that Kenny Sanderson does. Incredible work
@@FlyingLComics yes, Kenny is the best. And Jerry does a great job also. I only do leaf casting when it’s a must.
