    I found an Aux Hideout north of Arundel which at the time was recorded as destroyed but only the entrance was destroyed.I could slide down a hole and found an intact underground Nissen hut still with bunks in it and an escape tunnel. So they are still out there.Good hunting Mark.

    Cornwall in the sunshine, what a beautiful creek! We do seem to be getting an Indian summer.
    The Newham branch line closed to passengers in 1965 and closed to freight in 1971. Think your grandfather would of seen steam on the line mark. My father and older brother seen the last service steam hauled train leave Truro station in may 1964.

      Yeah my granddad worked for the gwr mate and he was based at drump Road good depo but now and again he was called on average duties I think we'll do a walk along that rally line before too long now
