- For my Presets visit: johnnathancord... Here's the Iridium Chime compared to (and combined with) my Helix Fawn preset (this time with a Les Paul). Delay and Verb (Native Instruments Replika) added to the Iridium. The Helix seems to break up sooner than the Iridium with my presets?

Just purchased my very own helix and I can't wait to finally have a piece of gear comparable to anything of strymon! Both pedals were awesome sounding! I want the iridium as well huehue
Very nice video, I hear the Strymon more warmer and full vs the HX Stomp, that's my opinion, but both sound great.
The 3 note chord (triad?) portion sounded like scale the summit for some reason and I liked it.
the way the amps breaks up sounds different:
1:06 for Iridium
3:05 for HX Stomp
The former is a bit more tamed, yet sweeter to my ear. The latter is much more bottom end girthy, rockish, but not as well mannered in a sense.
Iridium wins by a margin. Love the 5/8 time.
Helix fawn seemed like it had more gain from the beginning....
No clear “winner”. I preferred the Iridium for the cleaner tone and the Helix for the lead work in this video. I’m certain both amps could be tweaked to maybe sound more similar. But it’s very clear...... Iridium is fantastic. Helix is fantastic.
I like the simplicity of iridium but I want an (stereo) FX loop. HX stomp is to me best option as I want to use my pedals too.
why wouldn't you just run your pedals in stereo after the iridium then? And run the ones you want direct in, direct in?
Great playing as always. Both sound very good, but I think I might prefer the Iridium just a little. When using both the Iridium and HX, are you sending one to the left side and one to the right?
The tones of the two modes are both fantastic and difficult to compare ㅜㅜ..

I just wondered, what if you put the iridium into helix’s effect loop and use the iridium as the amp sound, would that makes sense?

Sounds like the Hx has a pillow in front of it in comparison IMO. I’m a stubborn won’t change amp guy but the Iridium is really impressing me where Kempers or HX haven’t at all

Are you using an Ir on the helix??
