Hearing Knights and Merchants is so lovely, a true gem of a game.
For some reason The Streets of Whiterun made me cry, Skyrim is my comfort game, stepping into Whiterun feels like coming home.

Oblivion's soundtrack is just unlike anything else. Skyrim's soundtrack gets a lot of praise, but Oblivion's is in a league of its own.

The first image is called "European Medieval Village" by Klaus Pillon and it can be found all over the internet. Various Game of Throne wikis use it as an image to represent one of the scores of towns in those books. It' also accompanies several fantasy short stories and some roleplaying game themed blogs and reddit posts. The youtube user who took the image most likely got it from another place that didn't have attribution. If Klaus Pillon wants, he can submit a claim against this youtube publisher.

I never played TES Oblivion but it by FAR has the best soundtrack. There is not a single song from that game I don't like.

Amazingly done compilation man, good job! Listen, any chance you could do some thematically opposite comps as well? Like some wilderness, or caves/dungeons, with monster howls, this sorta thing?
Something about D&D: I used to put some relaxing music for my DnD when the story is going slow (like a visit at a town), but the music i chose were some mystical music and it was starting to make some players sleepy! Now i always opt for some nice music like this compilation above so my players feel engaged rather than relaxed lol

I couldn't believe what I was hearing midway though the track list, Knights and merchants! I have the disk for that game, its really old... made me want to play it again, to bad my new laptop wont play it systems not compatible...., oh well happy memory's :)
You can actually play it. Someone made a remake and you can play online too! Google KAM remake ;)

I have never played any of these games but I play these videos when I read historical fiction nearly every night. Such good music. Hats off to the producers. It also makes me wish I was into gaming.

Okay, so I jumped into this trying to find a tavern pan pipe song after hearing an INCREDIBLY similar melody in a cooking show on the tv AND BOOM! I was thinking of was Castle Jam, and I recognised it from ambience playlists featuring Oblivion and Sims Medieval that my friends used during tabletop drafting sessions!
