Well, it was stated in FM4 that Zaftran military is in bad shape, so I wouldn't count on that. The Zaftran soldiers you fight in game are elite Airborne troops with mobile weapons. Now, the UCS/USN(US/Jap release name) troops in this scene are marines, so I'd say they would be a good match against what Zaftra would have to offer.
