2008 for me is definitely The Strangers. Snuck in with a few buddies when I was in middle school and legit was the scariest movie experience I ever had. Still one of my all time favorites, plus it was filmed right up road from me. Great video, as always
The Strangers heavily benefited from the movie theater experience. The highs & lows can really be felt in the theater. I still remember being with my GF at the time & watching the whole movie with one hand covering half my face but trying not to look like a pussy doing it. Fantastic movie for what it is 👍👍

Happy birthday Cody, and awesome list as usual! i hope you have a good one and get to do whatever you want today 😊 My personal list; 1995: Tales From the Hood. It’s a little campy at times and some effects don’t age well, but the themes age like wine. 1996: Scream. Easy answer. It was the first horror film I ever saw and is obviously one of the 🐐 1997: Event Horizon. I will never not be upset the full cut is lost forever. 1998: Bride of Chucky. Like Scream, I don’t need so say anymore lol. Honorable mention for H20. 1999: Idle Hands! I watch this movie at least twice a year. It’s so punk and fun. I love Devon Sawa and Seth Green especially. 2000: Battle Royale. You can argue if it’s a horror film or not, but I think it is an action-horror. 2001: Jeepers Creepers. 2002: Ju-on 2003: Freddy Vs. Jason 2004: Saw 2005: The Descent 2006: The Host (Korean film, actually by Bong Joonho who made Parasite) 2007: 30 Days of Night 2008: Seriously? Let the Right One In. Ironically? The Happening 💀 2009: I couldn’t choose between F13 remake and Jennifer’s Body, so both for different reasons. Jennifer’s Body is obviously way better written, and much more emotionally impactful for me, but F13 was my best theater experience. 2010: The Crazies remake 2011: Scream 4 2012: Cabin in the Woods 2013: The Conjuring 2014: It Follows 2015: Tag (Japanese film) 2016: The Conjuring 2 2017: It Chapter 1 2018: Hereditary 2019: Doctor Sleep 2020: The Invisible Man 2021: Malignant

Happy birthday Cody, and awesome list as usual! i hope you have a good one and get to do whatever you want today 😊
My personal list;
1995: Tales From the Hood. It’s a little campy at times and some effects don’t age well, but the themes age like wine.
1996: Scream. Easy answer. It was the first horror film I ever saw and is obviously one of the 🐐
1997: Event Horizon.
2002: Ju-on
2003: Freddy Vs. Jason
2004: Saw
2005: The Descent
2006: The Host (Korean film, actually by Bong Joonho who made Parasite)
2007: 30 Days of Night
2008: Seriously? Let the Right One In. Ironically? The Happening 💀
2009: I couldn’t choose between F13 remake and Jennifer’s Body, so both for different reasons. Jennifer’s Body is obviously way better written, and much more emotionally impactful for me, but F13 was my best theater experience.
2010: The Crazies remake
2011: Scream 4
2012: Cabin in the Woods
2013: The Conjuring
2014: It Follows
2015: Tag (Japanese film)
2016: The Conjuring 2
2017: It Chapter 1
2018: Hereditary
2019: Doctor Sleep
2020: The Invisible Man
2021: Malignant
Hey Cody Leach, I have full love and respect for you and your videos. And of course, Happy Birthday to you. Can you do another of these on your next B-day but with your favorite Rock Bands From Every Year In Your Life?
The Happening is a unintentional comedy. It is bad but it is funny in its own way.
Happy birthday, man and as always, amazing list! Great job
Happy Birthday Cody! Keep up the awesome work, been enjoying seeing you more since you went full time! Found your channel getting ready for Halloween 2018, been stuck on it since.
Silence Of The Lambs is my favourite movie, glad it made the list

Great idea Cody. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happy B day man. Hope you have a good time with Scream, I’m seeing it on Monday gonna be trying to avoid spoilers all weekend. Enjoy your day
Great video as always my man. Can’t believe I let Summer of 84 escape me. F’N loved it! And i agree, def no sequel needed. Like GNR said, “some things are better if we just let them be”.
I was trying to swipe that baby head off my screen like it was messenger. Happy Birthday Cody Leach.

Happy birthday Cody... Thank u for the long vids recently thank u and have an amazing birthday
Happy belated birthday Cody and this was a cool list. I have alot of love and nostalgia for most of the movies you listed. This is a great idea I should do this from my birth 1994 until present day my favorite horror movies and movies in general from each year on my birthday in November.
Happy birthday Cody!! Congrats on the recent surge of subscribers... seems like that Dexter Finale review was big for the channel!
Happy Birthday Cody 😄
I was looking forward to this video after seeing it on your community post and it certainly didn't disappoint as its such a cool idea/concept.
Keep up the great work and enjoy the rest of your day😀
Thanks for this list man, there's a few I had not seen here and I've added to my list.
I thought 2008 was pretty good with The Strangers and Cloverfield coming out, I also enjoyed The Happening but I would put it behind the first two by far.
the ruins, midnight meat train, eden lake, mirrors and splinter are all better movies than the happening.
Happy birthday. I rarely agree with your reviews, but I love your love of the horror genre.
Happy birthday GOAT!!!
Happy birthday, boss. Nice to see another T-Town boy doing well.
You deserve it cody. Way to go on hitting 70k!
Happy birthday. 🎁 I’ve been into horror since I saw child’s play 2 in the theater. I’m 36. Yeah my dad took me opening night. Love your videos even non horror. Keep up the good work. And enjoy your day
Happy Birthday! 🎉 ... Love your channel. It's given me lots of good ideas on what I should check out that I haven't seen yet.
Candyman used to scare the sh*t out of me in the 90s as a kid...that voice, of all the horror movies I watched as a kid candyman definitely scared me the most, even more than freddy and he was my intoduction to horror
Happy birthday Cody love your channel so much, thank you.
Happy birthday Cody! I hope the new Scream movie is a nice present for you!
