Friend, I have a 2018 3.60m Styker. Love it. Aluminum floor. I first ran a 4.5HP Johnson Sea Horse, then tried a 15 HP Mariner that wouldn't pump (even tried a new pump) water at trolling speed. Then, got a wonderful deal on a 5 hour 20HP electric start Merc. 4 stroke - what a great motor. Does a solid 26mph. Although rated for 25hp., any more than 20HP might be too much (squirrley) for my short 11'7" boat. The 3.80m might handle it, but love the 20. Easy of fuel - fish almost every day from mid May until the end of Sept. Lots of roaring around and still use less than 15 gallons of fuel for the whole summer. Just finished watching the video. The water at the end, can be handled with my 3.6m at full throttle, even with whitecaps. It is a little rough, though. I'm 74 yrs. old, so not TOO rough.
I had been looking for a video for a long time where you can see an inflatable boat like yours that has a gasoline engine and trolling at the back. Good video, I congratulate you, I'm going to buy some accessories that you show in your video. Greetings from cancun
@@BCMountainLife The boat is in great shape. I made a few amateur errors and had to get it professionally patched in a few spots, but again that was my fault. I have the wooden transom before they revamped the boat with the aluminum transom, no leaks so far on the wooden one though. As for the rpo, I just received it. I purchased the same size as my 380 lx 12'5 feet. so now I have the STRYKER PRO 380 (12’ 5”) INFLATABLE BOAT. It has so many upgrades and lots of bottom protection. I have a electric start honda motor 20 hp i saved up for.
Very observant of you but I didn't take them off, I just forgot to install them initially. Either way, I was running 2 motors and wasn't far from shore so really not that risky. If thats scary to you, you should see how I earn a living haha..Thanks for watching :)
Glad it answered some questions. Motor draws 50amp/hrs so it will go 2 hrs at full speed with a 100amp/hr battery. 4 hours at half speed although not good to run lead acid batteries to 0%.
Hey thanks for watching. Already went with a yamaha 15hp. It performs quite well, planes at just under half throttle. Keep in mind the LX is about 50 lbs lighter then the Pro which makes a big difference.
I like your set up! I have a little dinghy. Mariner 3. I would like a boat about your size that could fit 4 somewhat comfortably. Looking at the high pressure inflatable floors for comfort kneeling ect. Also looking at the e-propulsion spirit 1 elec brushless motor with lithium battery. Super light quiet, clean reliable and portable. You should look into it. May be a good option. Loose a lot of bulk ect. Can be used for trolling as well. Might be nice for quick easy short trips?
Thanks! Stryker Boats also makes an inflatable floor for there inflatables, it's super light weight and comfortable for kneeling like you say. Haven't looked too much into the new electric outboards but I'm sure there worth checking out. Always good to have more options for different scenarios when planning your boating adventure.
Do you know that this outboard could be a 9.9hp changing just the carb? And I have seen one with the 15hp carb. I have the same outboard but I don't use it because it's with low compression. But I keep it for parts for another that I have with 15hp.
They are launching wheels. I purchased them from stryker and mounted myself. I have since purchased the dually wheels which are much better if you will be pulling a heavy setup onto the beach often.
@@BCMountainLife Ah I see. I was curious about the brand. I got a pair of Quicklok wheels on mine, though its a much heavier boat. About 700 lbs with the engine. Can still deadlift the nose up, though I would never (or could never) beach it on a shore like that haha. I use a block & tackle to pull it on the beach. Just island hopping. Very handy thing those wheels for a solo boater.
Yes I am aware of the hazards of falling off a boat with waders on. Launching an inflatable boat from a rocky beach in the winter time is why I am wearing waders. This is winter boating in Canada, if I didnt have to get into the water to launch and land the boat, I wouldnt be wearing waders. I thought that was pretty obvious.

This is the set up I want this is a great looking boat.
You have the beginning's of a nice rig. You will consider more hp soon and a good fish finder. Good luck!!
Thanks, I have since upgraded.
Looks like a nice setup. The 6 horse, does better than I thought too.
Yes the little merc is perfect for smaller power restricted lakes, I have since up graded to a 15hp for big lakes.
thanks for this authentic video! very valuable for someone considering a stryker boat

Thank you very much it's great to hear that your finding some value in my content. I look forward to doing more on this fishing set up.
I own the stryker 380 LX and bought mine in 2016 when stryker was fairly a new company. I love mine and my next one will be the pro
How has your boat faired? Any patches required? I would like the pro but the weight would be too much for me to manage by myself.

You got some balls taking those paddles off bud. 😮

I just ordered the lx420 but I'm in the yukon so I'm months away from trying it out lol nice video bud
Right on! I work close to the Yukon border so I feel your pain in terms of weather.
Bigger motor and you'll be great, keep 2nd 6hr for backup...
Hi from South Africa absolutely an awesome little boat looking for one myself I'm a bass fisherman.
Hello, inflatable is a great option for the stability when standing up bass fishing.
Thank you, that was very informative. How long can you go on the trolling motor set up?

P.S. Those wood staircases down the side of the cliffs are pretty crazy! Must have taken a while to engineer those.
Yea, expensive to build I'm sure. Some are metal and like elevators. $$$$$
Definitely go with a 20 hp! I have the 380 pro and anything less might seem under-powered.

@BCMountainLifein an above reply you said you bought a 9.9hp yammy, hmmm

Thank you :)
What model are them rod holder mounts ?
@@ryanferris7841 They are scotty glue-on pads for inflatable boats with scotty base mounts (0241l-BK ) that are screwed on.
@@BCMountainLife thanks
Just bought one of these exact same as yours. I have a 9.9 yammy how do you think the two will pair with each other?
I ended up buying a 15hp yamaha for the boat. A 9.9 should be perfect for fishing (trolling) and cruising with 1-2 people.
@@BCMountainLife nice I can’t wait to try er out this spring
Seem like nice boats, i would buy one for sure... but i live in sweden and it would bw to expensive to ship here
Nice dude
Thanks man

😂😂 Never lift with your legs.

You are a physio wearing waders on a boat duh what happens if u go over ? Oh yeah they fill with water in seconds
