Very European how the key card has to be slipped into the slot in order to turn the lights on! Both organized and energy efficient 😁 That pool view was fire, too. Definitely fantastic value at the Endless Summer resorts. Most hotels don’t want the liability associated with leaving a fitness center unattended with 60-75lb weights accessible, but that has never really bothered me….you can do a pretty extensive workout with a single 35lb weight, if you use it right 💪🏻 It’s ultimately going to be our goal to stay at every Universal resort, but it’s _so_ hard to prioritize places we’ve never stayed when we already have so many favorites 😂 Still, someday! Great video, y’all!
My first job was at a gym and I understand the liability of having weights above 50 pounds. It has more to do with insurance than anything. You can get a great resistance workout with just body weight but everyone is different. From working in fitness and wrestling I know people who actually factor in the resort gym into their stay. Even people with injuries, who need to workout for physical therapy often need to know what's available. It's why I tend to go more in depth than most vlog channels. Loews is also known for their resort gyms. Many consider it part of the experience with both Surfside and Cabana Bay having dumbbells up to 75 lbs. It adds to the spa astethtic. We're with you on trying to stay at all the Universal hotels! Hard to do them all but we'll get there eventually 🙂. Thank you!
Told you guys before we stayed at a 2-bed suite in Surfside and loved it! Dockside looks just as good and a lot more food for some reason!! This is the most detail I’ve seen of Dockside so thanks 🙏
Looks good for a value resort. I just have to get used to the bus and security line into city walk. For my family this would be good for a short stay but a long day I think I need to stay at a resort with the boats. Overall the video itself was well done and informative. You are doing such a great job, keep the videos coming!
It’s a great value, luckily the bus ride is quick and I feel like Universal’s security goes fairly quickly. I def agree that it’s better for a short stay though. Glad you found it informative, our goal is to always try to give a good overview and aid in our viewers trip planning 😀
Cabana Bay is our favorite value resort. We love it. Definitely recommend a stay there. That's a great idea! Wish I could go back in time and do that 😆 Next time!
I love the whole hotel review. Maybe a "hotel" series could be in your future lol (would that Disney would sponsor that!!!). I had never considered Universal in Orlando (we are Cali natives and our kids our big Univ. Hollywood...they did HHN just two days ago!!)...but this makes me want to try it. Like Disneyland, Universal here has limited onsite hotels (i.e. expensive!!). Again great video. I look forward to them twice a week when I come home from work!
We have a playlist of our hotel reviews, we've stayed at quite a bit :) The Universal hotels are amazing and very reasonably priced. When we went to Universal Hollywood we stayed at The Garland and LOVED it. Thanks so much for watching Lisa, we'll have some California vlogs coming soon!!!
Oh California!! I will go back and watch the hotel videos. Our kids really want us all to go to Universal.... have you done Mario? I need to check your Calif. videos. We used to do DL several times a year but we became DVC members and weirdly enjoy WDW as it is more "vacationey"? Is that a word lol. 🥰 @@ThemeParkFoodies
@@lisaglass8850 We’re doing Mario this weekend actually! It wasn’t open on our last trip, just the snack stand. That’s funny bc I know exactly what you mean, but that’s how we feel about California 😊 I get that Disney World has so much to do though and when you stay on property in the bubble it’s definitely more vacation like.
Thank you 🙂, we actually just moved here a little over a year ago and mostly eat at the parks. We go to Wawa a lot off camera 😆. But we do sometimes try to highlight local spots outside the parks! Should have some more local places coming within the next few months.
146 i can afford 2 rooms unbelievable price food transportation is convenient and easily available i may convince hubby 🤗for a trip sooner than later😀thank you for the tips!
Right? The price is so right 😆. Let us know if you convince him! While the resort isn't perfect, it's more than great considering the price. Food was good too 🙂. Of course and thanks for watching!
We stayed two nights there on our last big vacation, we were super happy with their food court (compared to that OTHER theme park) and service. The bar drinks were WAY stronger than Disney and tastier. I would stay again.
Didn't have time for the bar on this trip but we love the Swizzle Lounge over at Cabana Bay so I can imagine this one being just as great 🙂. The food really impressed me too. I kind of want to go back just to eat here again 😆. Happy you had a great time! We'd definitely stay here again too.
We have never stayed at a universal hotel. You guys make me want to. I’m a huge fan of chocolate chip pancakes, so I probably would’ve ordered four of those.
Sometimes you need a little sog. The wet came mostly from the coleslaw which added much needed moisture to the fish. The fish acted as a barrier. I'm a fan of saturation but to each his own. If you can't handle the sog don't get these tacos.

Checking in here today can’t wait! This video was perfect timing.
Happy we were able to help out or hype up your stay in any way 🙂. Hope you're having the best time!

We love Surfside too! The Universal hotel value cant' be beat!!

Great video and tour of the Surfside! Did you go to Disney during this stay?
Thank you! We live locally and are pretty close to Disney. We usually do a HHN staycation each year.
Thank you for this video it was really detailed and helpful
We're so glad to hear that, thank you for watching :)
I was waiting for Jay to dip that flatbread in the gravy with the biscuits! Looks like a great value, we want to try Cabana Bay for the lazy river.

What a great video, never went to universal (Dinner girl here as well Sam) but this is an amazing option!!
The prices can't be beat!!! Thanks so much for watching :)
Another great video in the books! Would love a video of your non theme park favorite local eats ❤

@@ThemeParkFoodies love that! We are in NJ and same same, when in a pinch it’s a WaWa kind of night for the kiddos. Love that for you guys 💯
We stayed there in October . Loved it
It’s an amazing value.

I remember those Red Baron breakfast pizzas from back in the day 😭
They were epic 😆. Need to try to recreate them at home. Classic 90s breakfast.

They are a great value!!! Yeah I accidentally ordered the kids breakfast but the breakfast pizza made up for it!
Really great hotel video!
Thank you, we really appreciate it 🙂
Hey does the resort have a laundry facility?
yes
@@ThemeParkFoodiesthank you!
Is the food just sitting out at pier & I want my burger made fresh
I don't think they fresh fry the burgers but they make them to order I believe.
😊
😊❤️
❤
right back at ya
Sams so gorgeous God bless
You are way too kind Alessandra, thank you!
I stayed at universal dock side last year this year I'm staying at Hyatt regency Bush gardens
Awesome- let us know how it is!
interesting how a budget universal resort has soaps that are not locked in a dispenser. disney fail
😆 oh man, Disney and the value/moderate soap protection. We make sure to use extra if you ever spring for a deluxe. Need to get our money's worth 💵.
Wets
And goos 🍽️😋
Come on man that taco was beyond soggy.

Jay... U guys need to do this with kids....
Unfortunately not an option for us.
You can’t stay at a hotel to attend a horror event without having children? what?
You are TOO KIND!! Thank you so much for the thoughtful response. We really appreciate your support :)
