@@chasethecarguy They'll never make a car like that again. Finding one on the used market with low mileage & good condition is very rare, (but if you do you're going have to dig deeper)
@@chasethecarguy What's extremely rare is that some lincoln town cars came with a sunroof from the factory. Those where optional from the factory and it's extremely rare if you want a town car with a sunroof today.
It’s weird to think the Town Car didn’t get a tachometer stock until the 2006, same year I was born. My grandparents used to have a 1989, 1998, and 2002 Town Car. When my grandpa got the 2002 he gave my mom the 1998. Sadly, around 2014-15 after I had been put in foster care, the front left ball joint broke and my mom didn’t have the money to fix it so it got donated to a veterans thing where they fix cars and use them. My mom still had the second key for the car and last October when I went to see her she gave it to me. Also around 2013-14, my uncle unfortunately did something to the 1989 (I’m not sure exactly what) and the car has been sitting for years. He also has the 2002 and I’m pretty sure it’s still running strong, I might offer him money to buy it one of these days, maybe even the 1989 if I can find a buddy who’s willing to drive a trailer about an hour and a half to go pick it up, try to load it for an hour, then another hour and a half drive home. Honestly the Ford Panther platform was the best, I was at work and there was this really nice two tone one that was around 05-11, I could see the steering wheel but not the cluster, because the 03-05 have the same dash while the 06-11 have the tachometer. One of my buddies has a 1997 Town Car and from our junior year until when we just graduated this year we would go to Dollar Tree or McDonald’s at lunch. The middle seat up front was nice except for me since I have long legs, I once almost hit the wheel and we almost went off the road into a ditch. He also cut the mufflers and it sounds great. Anyway this started to get really long hopefully someone has the time to read it.
I have an '07. Deleted the mufflers because, while the ride is nice, I needed rock-n-roll too. The dashboards on these vehicles are absolutely fantastic.

I love how soft the first chime sounds. Quiet a shame that the gauge clusters just get more bland as the time rolls on
