Great choice to test the center with this Eric Clapton DVD. The 5.1 mix puts Clapton's guitar in the center channel, and boy, it sounds amazing when paired with a good center channel
@@generationbehindhifi Thanks for the video! I would also be very interested in a follow-up video or a an update in the form of a comment :D thinking about buying one as well for my small home theaer
@@lukasbd4 I'm surprised people want to see more of my Sonus Faber videos. Just about every single one of them I have uploaded has received more dislikes than likes. I think the youtube community has spoken, they don't like my SF videos. lol!
@@generationbehindhifi Oh no, sorry to hear that! Personally I think it's interesting because there are hardly any videos about SF center speakers... anyway, have a nice day, hope you're enjoying your speakers 🤗
Hi again, I have now to ask you about the center channel. In our last conversation, I was reaching out regarding the Venere S that you have. Now, looking for a center channel, you mess me up (in a good way) again. I was going to see the Venere Center channel, but after your comments, that will not be an option. Now comes the following question; with the sonetto Center. Is the Tweeter that close to the Venere S? I went to my dealer and listened to the Sonetto I with a sub and the midrange and Tweeter were exceptional for such a little speaker. Also, since you have heard both sonetto I & II. Does the II justify the extra size and $ amount? I never thought a center channel would need two dedicated woofers... but I a just getting into this... THANK YOU, as always for the great videos. I seem to follow your steps...
Hi Jose! Sure. I went with the Sonetto Center II in my setup because I have the big Venere S speakers and they ended up matching perfectly. When I was demoing the Sonetto Center I vs the Sonetto Center II, the II had more of everything. More imaging, bigger sound stage, and sounded more natural. If space is a concern, then the Center I isn't a bad speaker, but if you can get the Center II I would highly recommend it. It definitely worth the additional cost! Hope this helps!
@@generationbehindhifi Yes, It does. Thank you, as usual, for the great feedback and the help. Now if the family disapproves, I can say who gave me the idea... LOL. Thanks again for your input!
@@bethsinger4386 Yeah! They were great! They even double boxed it for me. Yep, I received an invoice and had no problem registering it. I would highly recommend Salon 1.
I also have Venere 3 line . I'm looking for powerful and clear detailed center. I'm wondering the sound quality of the center with movie demo. Possible ?
Every Sonus Faber video that I have uploaded has received more dislikes than likes. I'm not your guy for uploading a sound demo judging by the feedback I have received so far. However, I love mine and don't think you will be disappointed if you end up purchasing one. It really is a phenomenal sounding speaker!
Thnx for the vid. I have the venere 3.0 and looking for a center. I have the SF chameleon center now but not really happy with it. Looking forward to you next demo video. ✌️
Hi again. could you please check the exact height of the center when standing on the foot? difficult to find out if it is the height that is stated on the SF website is with the foot. have to see if I can fit it. Thnx //
@@Sloimer Back in the day when I was using a budget receiver I had always been aware of a hiss. It was very subtle, in fact most people wouldn't even be aware of it! But for me it was very annoying! Well anyway after auditioning several mid-priced AVRs it finally became apparent that the hiss was actually coming from my unshielded cables. Considering I was in a middle of an upgrade I thought I'll start with what was annoying me the most! So I changed my 18- gauge cables for the 14-gauge amazonbasics and even though their was a slight improvement in sound quality the hiss still remained! It was only when I finally purchased shielded cables that the hiss had finally been eliminated. Probably because of the aluminium shield protecting the cables from RF/EMI interference! Got to remember unshielded cables act as antennas for attracting RF and the longer the cable the better the antenna! Probably explains why when I used to disconnect my height channels the noise floor used to come down. My room is so much quieter now that I press pause or mute my noise floor is hardly noticeable. In fact the last group of cables I shielded were my HDMIs and low & behold the room became quieter yet again. When I first shielded my height cables I was so excited that I finally found the culprit, I posted a short 3 minute video but please bear in mind Steven Spielberg I am not. Thanks for the Video! Can you tell how big (wide and depth) the stand is?
Sublime installation quel type de câble hp utilisé vous
Thank you! I love this center channel! It matches perfectly with my Venere S main speakers. My speaker cables are from BlueJeanCables.
@@generationbehindhifi merci cordialement
Looking forward to the tests with sound :) Was thinking about this one or the Sonetto I. The II seems much bigger. Thanks for a good unboxing.
No problem Martin! I'm working on a multichannel music demo video with the new center and should have it up in the next few weeks.

Did you buy it from Salon One audio?
Yes.
Pretty happy with salon 1? Did they provide an invoice so you can register the product?

No problem! Venere 3.0s are nice speakers!
im actually using the sonus faber principia 7 front speakers. do u think this center can match with those?
I'm not familiar with the principia line of speakers so I can't comment on that. Sorry!
Beautiful. Congrats

Sorry for the late replay. It is just under 11 and 3/4" tall with stand.
Glossi Finish Looks Great But annoying coz Screen Reflection ...
That's the downfall of glossy finishes but it doesn't bother me. :)
Best speakers
Just to make you aware.. the more cables I shield the quieter my room becomes.
