Citrulline The organic compound citrulline is an α-amino acid. Its name is derived from citrullus, the Latin word for watermelon. Although named and described by gastroenterologists since the late 19th century, it was first isolated from watermelon in 1914 by Japanese researchers Yotaro Koga and Ryo Odake and further codified by Mitsunori Wada of Tokyo Imperial University in 1930. It has the formula H₂NCNH₃CHCO₂H. It is a key intermediate in the urea cycle, the pathway by which mammals excrete ammonia by converting it into urea. Citrulline is also produced as a byproduct of the enzymatic production of nitric oxide from the amino acid arginine, catalyzed by nitric oxide synthase. Do you believe that one size fits all?
Actually, citrulline raises arginine in the body more effectively than arginine itself (taken as a supplement) does. Much of L-arginine is broken down and converted to other amino acids, when taken as a supplement.

Two Questions: Q1. Is arginine and L-arginine the same thing because from this video I'm thinking it is. Q2. Is any kind of test available to determine how much nutrients one is getting from there own digestive system? How much is being produced/ how much is needed (i.e.)B1, arginine, magnesium, copper, iron, B5?
Yes they are the same, and although certain tests are available, they aren't very accurate. Identifying symptoms is the best way to determine the problems.
