I’ve been in the profession for about 5 years now, approaching nearly 2,000 homes inspected now and have been internachi certified since day one. I appreciate ya, Ben. Yal are awesome.
How long did it took you to become internachi? I’m interested but idk where to start and whats the process like. I would like to hear from you thank you.
@@vag4lvevo22 it took me like 3 months total to go through all the internachi training material, study and pass the state exam to get licensed. I would consider that quick since I devoted all of my time towards it and was lucky enough to pass all of the tests the first time. I’ve been told the tests have gotten a little tougher since then.
All starting software templates should be based on InterNACHI"S SOP. I highly recommend their drone course!! Ben, it's crazy how much you have grown with the evolution of inspection technology, education, and the future of home inspection!!! Love your new glasses!!! A few questions: Am I seeing this right? You're using InterNachi's sop on your phone from their site? Is this an official InterNACHI home inspection software? What talk-to-text are you using? What drone are you using? @10:22 is the fireplace vent venting in the continuous soffit vent? Appears to be....is that ok in your area. Never seen that before. Warm moistue air would be my concern, not the CO as much.

I skipped over stuff like that. It's not an actual home inspection for a fee-paying client. Just a video to get my main point across. Thanks for watching. Thanks for the comment. You're correct.
Hi Ben, great video. Please advise what model that Drone is? You said “Mini” but you did it say the model or manufacturer? Please advise ASAP as I want to get something soon to start practicing….
@@internachi hi Ben. I just received the Mini 2 and was practicing with it yesterday ! Much easier than i thought to operate. Almost finished the training on Internachi site and hope to take the exam next week to get certified. No more walking steep roofs for me!
So I keep hearing from realtors how they aren't even recommending home inspections and haven't been for months...this business is sll about who you know or be willing to look over a things so realtors can make the sale... and spend thousands a month in marketing.
I've run into this as well. The only inspector I know that isn't having an issue is more of a realtors pet. Shadowed him one time and I noticed paint chipping and he told me, "If you point that out realtors will hate you" he also under played evidence of some serious and obvious water pooling at the front steps that needed attention. Guy never even mentioned it in the report. I could list a ton of stuff this guy chose not to put in the report or even mention to the buyers.

@@OgFurious1 oh ok. Thank you for the info.
Good job Ben, thanks for the video!
You bet!
I liked this. I get up to mountain homes fairly frequently so it is nice to see something a little different in this video. Thank you.

Great video Ben,. The fireplace vent Reads " do not touch HOT"
Ouch.
I was looking at the sticker that said "Lift up to open" as he tried to pull it out instead.
