For anyone wondering what Charlie was talking about at 4:33 with the Hunger Games, he managed to land a role as an extra and even have a line in the movie, but they cut it out in the final edit for being too moist.
Is their a way to watch it?
holy crap, did he ever mention what he said?
Well that's spectacularly homosexual
Kiyi1994 He said “Im from district 14, we make the gays up there.”
If I knew Charlie were in the Hunger Games, I would've seen it.
But he wasn't, and I didn't (the third one, right?).
You know, I figured there'd be a lot more corn in a movie called Maize Runner...
Genius
Arcralf
That was corny.
i'm a pickle, look at me!
Arcralf I expected something more like a ducks vagina
Huehuehuhhuhehue
Dude I actually just watched the trilogy and I thought it was absolutely amazing
i agree like it has its flaws but i'd take it anyday over hunger games. everyone seems to hate it
facts
I feel the same. Charlie is trippin
This is getting out of hand. Now there are two of them!
William Fisher no
the entire population of turkey
Great name.
KnightCaster thank you

I’m tied of the dystopian genre.
send mail, we trade pics. c u soon bby.
The problem I have with it is the books they're based on are shit and the movies are this shit, better than the book tho
I thought the books were pretty good
Dinomin me 2
Maze Runner: The Moisture Cure (Because it makes everything dry)
All I know is that CIA from The Dark Knight Rises is the bad guy and I’m obligated I see it just to banepost at the screen
vnom84 sit very close to the screen so he'll be a big guy
A lot of loyalty for a hired gun
vnom84 for you
He's also Baelish on Game of Thrones
"emotional character deaths"
--Teresa--
yeah lmao worst character of the film
that man behind you has sprouted a son
The movies are nothing compared to the books.
Zachary H couldn't agree more.
Zachary H yea, the movies aren’t filled with horrendous writing
Just bad writing
Zachary H Only the first is good
The books have the same problem of shit happening for unknown reasons. I came halfway trough the second book and was hoping there would be a payoff of WHYYYY all the things are happening, it got to slow and i stopped reading... so yeah
"Don't talk to me or my son or my adopted grandson ever again."
I love his Asian oriented background
That random double Asian man cut tho
Love ya charlie
The maze runner series is 10 times better in the books, the plot actually makes sense, wicked has clear motives, the books all connect together, the decisions made are reasonable. The books are just better
*When you get PTSD from remembering being cut from a Hunger Games film.*
I'm still sad and mad for you my dude.
And for all those fake fans who are not up to date with the latest arc in The Official Podcast anime lore, episode 43 of the podcast will clear it all up for you. 55:00 onwards for the timestamp.

I was almost expecting this review to be a 13 minute gay wedding featuring an angered volcano God as well.
I clapped when I saw Mr. Plinkett
The Drunken Coward a man of culture
But at least it was so dense, every single image had so much going on
The Drunken Coward its was a wedding about family
Can’t wait for Maze Runner 2049.

This half face-cam half movie-clip works pretty well, you should do this from now on in moist meters.
Also i watch these to see if certain movies are any good or not to see if they're worth seeing. Very useful series, keep it up, proud of you. 👍
This franchise has 3 movies too many.
If they followed the book, the movie woulda been fucking amazing
Not amazing, but it would be pretty good
Justin Y. You have 2 comments too many
Kfifif Ffff he has 69 comments too few
why dont you ever come to the streams
moist meter is great addition to this channel. ty Charlie :)
I liked the concept of maze runner and the first book was pretty good, then they just left the maze? And it never talked about it again? And it turned into a zombie thing? Idk I didnt read past half of book 2 because it left everything I liked about it
Matt G book 2 was a flop, and you kinda have to forget about the maze, but book 3 is really good. I encourage you to push through book 2 and read 3
A Random Person
I heard book three was the worst from several sources.
KnightCaster I enjoyed it a lot tbh, good build up for 4
KnightCaster the ENDINGZ was. It was a fun book to read though.
Book 2 was the worst, but I still thought it was good, just not as good as the others. The best was the first, and has to do more with the maze. There are also 2 prequels, which tie everything up pretty nicely. I believe it is explained in the Death Cure why they are placed in the Maze. I’m not sure if that was explained in the second book or not, but I don’t believe it was.
lol more like the gay runner xdxdxd
Nathorix gays runner BTFO
Rekt xd
XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
im disgusted with myself for laughing at this shitty ironic joke
more like bored runner cos this movie isnt having any fun
The books were so good and these movies were kinda disappointing ugh
I remember the book being way different then, that. Jesus
Jojoman J. I mean I enjoyed reading them freshman year of high school but these movies rub me the wrong way
The books are trash.
First book was good with an interesting premise and high tension but the next 2 honestly felt like the author didn't know what the hell he was doing.
Yesss
I thought these movies died a long time ago in a place far away.
Justin Y. Nah, that's the other big franchise
Heyooo!!!!!
Justin is back!!!!
No... Not Justin...
Can't die when you've never been alive.
That Harold analogy was perfect and so true
I’ll just go watch Paddington 2 again.....
Varinder Bhandal I WANT TO SEE DAT NOW !!!
that movie sucked though
I had no idea a 2nd movie was made lmao
This is the third one
point proven
Did the last 2 even come out in theator? I saw NO ads for any of these movies.
@@caspeticpaletino372 Yeah, I remember seeing the scorch trails with my family. I remember falling asleep.
Funny story about Maze Runner. I had my worst movie theater experience while watching the first movie. I got in for free, which doesn't sound like it would be that bad and maybe I shouldn't complain but bear with me. I got my ticket late so I could only get a movie in the second row on the side. This and the bland movie were bad enough but some guy who was sitting next to me probably made it a hundred times worse. For starters, he smelled awful, like ranch dressing and pickles that someone let sit out in the sun. During the first ten minutes of the movie he was eating and chewed very loudly. Once he finished eating, the guy fell asleep and started snoring as loud as possible. I could've woken him but I was incredible bad with confrontations at the time and also didn't want to fight with someone in a movie theater. He eventually got woken up by one of the employees for disrupting the movie. Unfortunately, within five minutes, the guy fell back asleep and snored for another ten minutes. Eventually he got so loud that his son, who was siting several rows away from his father, for reasons I can imagine, had to come wake him up again. Luckily, he left the theater after that but the movie was too far in for me to really get back into it. With that out of the way, I'd just like to say, hey guy, if you're out there you probably don't know who you are but I hope that $17 ticket was worth the nap.
Thanks for cutting to your backstage boys. Great to see their reaction.
tbh Seeing a real life Kaiju would captivate me more than freedom from radiation.
I call that trope you bought up the "Lot's Wife" trope. Turning to see a threat that would have killed you if not for plot armor
hey iCharlie i love that you practice being positive by reviewing terrible movies. it's very endearing
You literally get funnier and funnier by the day. 10+ years of pure moisture.
I like the new format
My absolute favorite online pastime is watching movie reviews on shit that I will never watch in my life- this is a good example
Nice video editing, Charlie.
Love your videos man, keep it up!!
It's the kind of movie that you only want to watch one time, or not at all.
I feel like they tried to deviate from the books but kept referring to random elements from the books that made no sense in the movie because they hadn't been mentioned before at all. They just drop you in to random scenarios with no explanation why and expect you to know from the (completely different) books why this is happening. Deviating from the plot of the book isn't necessarily a bad thing if you stick to it and don't just add in nonsensical plot points from the book
I think you honestly forgot how many times they kept taking off masks I mean ever 10 mins someone took off a gas mask or helmet
They predicted 2020
The books were WAY better and these series just insulted its legacy and youre definetly right about the storytelling
3:40 When you're praising a movie, but remember some other franchise cut your only scene so u gotta shit on that
Idk what actually was achieved in this movie. 1 guy died 1 guy saved and an entire civilization got wiped out
I like the new format for moist meter
My moist ness is splashing.
It's kinda ironic because I remember seeing like a RUclips ad for maze runner and in the interview they were talking about how all "our" answers will be answered and you said at the start of the video that it doesn't answer all our questions
thanks penguinz0 for doing these. really appreciate it.
num12875 he’s name is Charlie
The part where he shifted in his chair, remembering and reliving the discomfort of losing his movie role. We felt it, too, Charlie. We felt it, too...
I guess you can say this moist meter was pretty.... WCKD....
I'll see myself out now.
CyanFire it doesn’t have an e
i’ll see myself out now
Better?
In the book it's called WICKED, but I guess the movies couldn't even get that right.
Yeah I was a little confused about that when I first saw that in the trailer.
Splish Splash I was taking a bath
Lmao, they didn't even find a cure for death. smh
The part where he talked about Harold seems an obvious reference to certain character in a certain netflix series
wait you were supposed to be in the Hunger Games, and your role got cut? You are a legend lol
If you like the premise, read the books. The execution is great. I know I’m being “that guy” who’s saying the books are better, but they are actually miles ahead of the movies.
So basically its a Must-watch at Redbox, and a only-watch-if-you-thought-the-others-were-good-and-nothing-good-is-on at the theater.
I haven't seen the movie, only read the books, and I get everything you are talking about.
Sad to see how bad it is compared to the original
you are right about the jumbled nonsensical plot that's why i decided to watch the movie for the second time to digest everything. i think it worked... suddenly it's a good movie😂
A deer in the headlights. That sounds like a proper name for the trope.
I love how the camera placement makes Charlie look even shorter
i think we're all missing something about this whole hunger games beef
DJ Dactyl it was in a podcast ages ago, Charlie got cut out of the film where he spoke like a few words. The back of his head can be seen in a cut scene, and IIRC there is a picture on his Twitter for proof.
Watched all these movies and I noticed most of the time the characters "are about to be killed" something or someone comes in last moment to save them like some guy in disguise or some old man driving a truck
The books make no sense as well, and a lot of questions are left unanswered. So I don't really expect much for the movie series.
i have never understood why its called Maze Runner if they were only in a maze in the first movie
I feel ya man, after the first movie they stoped following the books.
I've read all three Maze Runner books and seen none of the movies. I always hear people claim that the books were great and that the movies are terrible in comparison. However, I personally found the books to be shit to begin with. Here's a few reasons:
-All of the key elements of the story literally made no fucking sense.
-The main character is constantly treated like some kind of chosen one, which makes him completely unrelatable.
-Many of the mysteries and conflicts throughout the story are handwaved with "It was all a test to see how your brain would respond."
-Protagonist constantly ignores opportunities to try and communicate what he does know with other people, which could help avoid several unnecessary conflicts.
-Those with immunity to the sanity-destroying virus are immune due to unique brain patterns. (Which is *not at all* how viral immunity works, see bullet point number one.) It's implied that those with immunity all have well above average levels of intelligence either due to or resulting in their unique brain patterns, with the main character being a genius. (See bullet point number two.) Yet throughout the books none of the characters show this, having spent months unable to notice a simple pattern, and the main protagonist repeatedly fails to make obvious connections and figure something out for himself. Apparently in the world of The Maze Runner having an IQ of 90 makes you a genius because everyone else sits around an average of 55. (By real-world standards, that is. IQ is weighted such that average is always 100.)
All in all, the Maze Runner is a poorly written series made with very little care for common sense or any kind of logic. All I can really say is that I also read a prequel and it managed to be far better than any of the main trilogy. That is to say, tolerable.
i think it's primal nature to be petrified when you see danger
Damn, the first two movies were actually good.
Dylan o brien is one of the best actors ever, he suffered directors cuts
I when to see this movie with my sister and was just lost it made no since to at all you nailed the issue I had with the characters just stopping in the middle of danger this was the one and only movie ive ask for a refund
I got my refund, but I'm still salty about the time I wasted watching it
Trash runner : the shit cure
DammitSinged don't involve trash men, they don't deserve that
I dunno, the idea of people standing around when their life is in danger sounds like more than a film trope now.....pretty much describes how you get hordes of people who would rather turn hero journalist, stopping to record things happening in a crappy vertical video on their phone rather than getting themselves to safety.
the first maze runner was fucking amazing. loved the whole concept.
I’ll never do that trope now, Charlie
What I didn't like about the movie is that there is too much perfect timing involved. The characters stay alive because they always get saved at the last second by somebody
I like how it looks like he's sitting on that cardboard display's lap
gonna still watch it, main actor is good atleast in series called beyond which has pretty well made plot.
the first maze runner is one of my all time favorite, second one made me so sad... this one might be sad as well
Charlie should be running cinemasins.
the books are a million times better than the movies, try reading the books instead if you're interested in the series
Aaron Lawson Yee they’re so much better
no fuck off nerd
The books are unredeemable. Absolute garbage
I enjoyed them when I read them in Middle School, haven't re-read them in a long time, but I do say they were a lot more enjoyable than the movies
Books are for nerds you nerd
Game of thrones had that get distracted from safety trope. Jon snow is seconds from escaping but out of nowhere decides to go back into the danger for no reason risking everyone's life including his. Also how many times could I count people being saved at the last second with throw away characters.
I was hoping for a RedLetterMedia review with Charlie lore
2:59 HAHA! Joke's on you, I ain't got no foreskin!
I liked it.
But I like the books so.
I love you Charlie
As someone who didn't watch the other movies (Well parts of the first enough to remember eyebrow guy being in it)
The main character (and love interest, and the bad guy wasn't that interesting) was considerably more unlikable than the side characters, which I mostly enjoyed seeing more
...and SPOILERS
Newt could have probably been saved if Thomas just went to the chopper with him or if the love interest just HELPED THEM ...like she could have joined them instead of being with the bad guy for her JUST to betray the bad guy 20 minutes later...Movie fell apart for me after Newt's death and got frustrated by a lot of the choices and character motives that happened afterwards...like Thomas carving the girls name (dropped what is was cause she stank) in the rock over Newt
The movies did not follow the books but having read the books it did help me undestand what was happening (movies did follow the first book however)
These movies can't even really be linked to the books. They just can't compare.
Please fix the echo and sound quality, otherwise fantastic.
This movie was so good it should've been called Maze Runner 2049
Six words in and I'm already laughing my ass off..
prediction the movie was ass
Jokes on you, I've been circomsized.
Is it the fault of the source material or the director?
The Asian man in the background had a baby by budding
when are you gonna get a wii to play gremlins gizmo for the wii, great video by the way.
There's one major point in the plot that really annoyed me because of how little sense it makes.
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT.
So when we see skinhead from We're The Millers return, they ask how he's alive because he had a fucking spear thrown into his chest and they watched him die, I would've been okay with this I guess, seeing as it's set in some "advanced civilization". Here's the problem though, when one of the main characters - Newt starts turning into one of the Goth-Zombies, Thomas is wrestling him and trying to get a knife off of him, no surprise he "accidentally" stabs Newt, this kills him almost instantly, how come Skinhead can live through a fucking wooden spear to the chest, but a small knife wound to the chest kills this guy almost instantly, and don't tell me it's because the virus was what killed him because we all know the intention was to have Thomas kill him before or after he turns.
Spear to the chest = Fine
A fucking GUNSHOT to the stomach = Fine.
80s Bully's pocket knife to the chest = Instant death.
Am i the only one who enjoyed all 3?
I did
Ya I just finished all of the movies, they are all really good
God, I love Dylan O'Brien.
