I just had chin lipo. I look like a bullfrog with swelling that's hard to the touch. Its been 8 days post op and started lymphatic drainage massage. It really helped with my neck. Quite a lot of bruising first week all the way down my neck. Painful still but extra strength Tylenol will do. I will trust the process and be patient 😑
I think a lot of people confuse chin lipo with facial contouring. I used to think that it was the same until I got it done. I realized that the sides of my jaw still have more fat, although my “double chin” is gone
Oh wow. Maybe that's why I'm not seeing the SNATCHED results. Because I didn't get the facial contouring. Wow. Had I know I would have been like ummm yes please! Wow smh i guess I'll just live with what I got. Not really trying to do another surgery.
Just had my vaser chin lipo yesterday. Slept so bad my 1st night in the upright position. Pain when eating & swallowing, tenderness & soreness, swelling, bruising. Happy new year to me haha . However, for the 1st time I hear that it’s okay to wear a chin garment for 48 hours only. I hate mine already and can’t wait to get rid of it soon.
I have a double chin whether I’m skinny or big 😢 it’s my biggest insecurity. & I have a stomach pudge after a c section so that says a lot. Your face is the first thing ppl see, u can always hide a belly tbh I can’t wait to save up enough money 😭😭

What are your thoughts on chin lipo months after face and neck lift? I only wanted my turkey neck gone, and I'm not overweight, but after having this procedure, I look like I have a huge double chin, and it's rather embarrassing. I have an awful profile now😢. So far, I've had three rounds of kybella since surgery. My ps said that chin lipo wouldn't help and it would leave tunneling. It just makes me sad because it was something I was never embarrassed about. I just hated the loose neck skin

It depends on so many things. We are all different. The result will depend on the structure and shape of the mandible, how much fat was there to begin with, the skin quality of the chin, the health of the patient, the diet of the patient, whether they smoke or not. So many factors and that's why there is a lot of variability in the healing time and the results. Look at Covid for example; some people have a very mild case much less than a cold and yet others die. Some have it and never get it again while others get it multiple times. Some have it and it goes away and others have long Covid. Just a lot of genes all reacting differently.
@DrWilliamMiami Im not a big person, nor did I have alot to take away, honestly. I'm not one of those people who are in denial. But I still feel like I look the same way. But I'll wait a few more months before I really get upset lol

I would have to see my before and after pictures but i know what i looked like before without needing to see photos and I'm definitely not seeing the results i know i should have by now. 😠
I don't like Kybella personally, but I know surgeons have success with it--but for me liposuction is one treatment, almost 0% revision rate, well tolerated and has excellent, safe, reproducible, consistent results. Also I like that liposuction encourages the skin to redrape so for all these reasons I prefer lipo over Kybella. However, I am sure many people can get good results with injection of a lipotoxin.

Yes. And yes. And furthermore, yes. Nothing compares to liposuction. Nothing. It is so powerful. It is completely different then Kybella. With liposuction you control exactly where the fat is removed and blend one area to another. With Kybella it is injected and then it diffuses and breaks the fat down so there is not as much control. I prefer liposuction because it is much more precise and you remove the fat right away and can see immediately where the fat was removed. And the recovery from liposuction of the chin is so easy.
Id never do it again , my doc did not disclose everything I am having a hard time coping menatally with the horrid looking mess I am left with Please do not ruin your facs I was beautiful for my age...now I will not leave home. I hate myself I dont know how I will live like this

Correct. We call it sub-mental liposuction which is just the area under the chin which is called the mentum.

It makes zero sense to only do liposuction under the chin, it has to be done around the jawline for maximum results.

You should see results pretty quickly with chin lipo.

Has anybody ever gotten a keloid from the chin lipo scar?
Not that I have seen in my practice but a keloid anywhere is possible with any incision. It is just not as common to get a keloid on the face.

I had it twice it did nothing , I actually feel it made it worse and added weird pockets 😠
