It’s been pointed out to me that I didn’t comment on the neck... no sharp edges, rosewood fret board, the frets had been leveled, you can see some pretty shoddy fret work had already been done, but no fret buzzing or dead spots up and down the neck. Again, the guitar is very playable!
Perfect. Great video. Exactly what I was looking for in my HB 450-GT.
I'm going to buy one. Wish you would have shown more work.
Thanks, I figured there are plenty of videos that do a much better job of showing the work. I tried to keep it simple.
Looks good! \m/
If you are going to remove cheap pickups, don't replace them with more cheap pickups.
Decent pickups will cost more than what the guitar is worth, though.
Mostly true, what I liked about the replacements were the AlNiCo magnets and the wax potted wires. They seem brighter to me, so I'm pleased with the budget!
And I like the look of chrome vs. bare pickups.
@@curtjunky Pickup covers are easy to add on.
I prefer nickel covers myself, and the pickups on my DC-400 SGT don't really sound that bad through my Marshall tube amp.
My GIBSON LP's have upgraded pickups, but they are quite a step above Harley Bentons.
My SC-400 does have a bound body and neck, so that's cool.
Some pickups that are less sound better
@@405zx I put a set of $35.00 humbuckers in my Firefly FF-338, and they sound awesome.
The stock pickups in my SC-400 sound about the same, so even though I bought that identical pickup set, I haven't bothered to change them out in the SC-400.
Compare with jay turser jt220 bk plz if possible
Just watched a jt-220 compared to a Gibson. Really, there are so many budget guitars that can be upgraded for well below a Gibson price. Get out there and play!
What's the graph tech nut model # that you used? TIA!
Please check the link in the video description. Thnaks.
good afternoon. I am from Brazil. I have a Lespol Epiphone Custon guitar. how do i buy this piezo to put on my guitar.

I searched for "tune-o-matic piezo bridge" on the internet and found several options.
Hi, these pots are short or long shaft?
They are short shaft. I put a link in the description above. Although long shaft would have been better, I had to shave some wood out of the cavity to make the pots fit!
@@curtjunky thanks! So it is 15mm right?
@@chalabis The product specs don’t specify a shaft length, and I didn’t measure them before installation. I would guess that “short shaft” is standard.
@@curtjunky got it sir, thanks for explanation
what mechanics to put on harley benton sc 400? tank!
Please check the video description for a list of the parts I used. Thanks.
Please, if it's not too much to ask, can you tell me what is the width of the neck at the nut? I know that Thomann list the spec at 43 mm, but I did bought guitars from them with wrong neck specs and I don't really trust their web-site.
alexacojo In the U.S. I purchased a 1 23/32 inch replacement nut. Fit almost perfectly. This is approximately 43.6 mm.
@@curtjunky Thank you, you are the best. I like wide necks and it sounds like the SC-400 it may be up my alley. BTW, I've got two Harley Benton ST-62 guitars, the nut is under 41mm, the overall string spacing is made for baby hands and I don't even have fat fingers. Thomann did good on me and give me some in store credit, then I've got two Harley Benton Extreme guitars. Again, wrong specs, not as far off from the specs listed on their web-site as the ST-62, the nut is 42 mm on the Harley Benton Extreme.
