Getting those rafters up really fleshes out what that side of the house will look like. Are you doing the same to the other side, or will it just be a deck?
Same on the other side, although what an amazing deck that would be.
Will you use metal brackets on the rafters?😮
Yes going to use hurricane clips on the wall side and metal brakets, just none at the two home hardwares and 1 kent close by. They're not needed by code, but it's nice to have(when available).
Your brain wants to say rafters, but your mouth wants to say trusses!😅
Till the end of the video where I should be saying Im hammering the plate into the gambrel roof trusses, and I call them rafters. It was a struggle.
Not a single screw, just nails, will it be okay?
In a house the only thing that you use screws for are sun floor and deck boards, because screws can’t handle much weight strength. That’s why you have to use nails in all framing. Nails are much stronger then screws.

I do, but non of the hardware stores had any, they’ll be added on once I can get a city and get some.
I recently got the ones that go on the walls, they’re not code here though, but they’re awesome so yeah I’m gunna use them.
