I'm a 72 yr old equestrian that has learned a lot over my 40+ yrs with horses. I've had 8 horses in that time so I do not claim to know everything. Nobody does and if they tell you they do, be suspicious. But I have learned some important lessons in that time. When you think that the worst thing has happened in your world (life changing) you will probably look back on it years later and realize it was for the better. You just can't see it now. Gather yourself up, work through what is your priority and make a plan to solve the problem. The horses have been your children but like any parent you will have to learn to let go. Ask any parent how hard that can be. But trust they will be OK with another human. They will flourish in a new home, being ridden to wonderful places and loved. Know that you can't control everything for them in the future but the same can happen in your care too. You'll be OK and so will they. I hope you don't get offended by this comment but I see a younger me in your videos. I wish I knew then what I do now. Life doesn't work that way. Deep breath and let it go! Wishing you the very best!
Hang in there young lady and keep your faith it can be overwhelming at times looking for what you want and need. Pray about it I'm sure you guys are going to come across the home that you're really looking for and want.
Homes prices across America are insane. When I was younger my husband and I moved 1500 miles from home! I will never regret that adventure. We moved back to western PA, and would NEVER consider a north facing property! 😅 You are stronger than you think, together, you two can do anything!😇
we joke with our friends all the time about doing a little commune or co-op property so we can each have small homes but then share a barn to share in horse care duties. have fun at the classic!
Thx for your honesty. Life is never what we expect. You can make it through, even with tears. Let go of expectations and keep doing what you feel is right. I believe good things are in your future. For now, hang on tight to your partner and continue to dream.
I never would have suggested you rehome your horses unless you brought it up as your own goal, but if you do find ideal homes, which you mentioned you intended all along, it would cut expenses, give you more time and money, and provide freedom as you seek your dream place. If you do get land, building a shared riding space/ rental stables plus auxillary dwelling units and/or air b and b type units you could rent (plus stalls to rent) could actually give income. As you problem solve you two come up with clever ideas!
I'm so grateful you are uploading videos. They're so inspiring for me! Your life reminds me of what me my husband and I have been having to do, but with 2 kids in the mix. I'm so grateful to be where I am, but eager to move forward! I'm working so hard so I can someday own my first horse at age 26. It's so hard learning new things while in the middle of trying to stabilize life.
God always provides for us. Make your exact plans known to him and you’ll be surprised at his response. Praying for you! God bless you in your home hunting adventure.
Thank you for keeping us in the loop as much as possible. It's a shame that you've been thrown into this situation with the barn rental on the cusp of Autumn---which in Vermont is the front step of Winter. Perhaps Kentucky will inspire you. After all, it is primo horse country.
I cannot imagine how concerned you must be… please trust god to provide what you need for them as he is with you … what you are doing is so important❣️ your ideas are brilliant for a small equestrian estate… l believe horses could save the world one person at a time but we must save them first❤thank you for how hard you try🙏🏼
Hang in there, it is an election year, prices will change and you still have time before winter to keep searching. We are looking for the same thing as you just in a different state and trust me we want this just as bad as you guys do but we are thinking more affordable homes/land will appear before winter. The last one you looked at, your faces had hope..so we'll see after Kentucky what happens! ❤
I've thought of an affordable community for older people or single/couples with a good barn, arena, trails and small cottages placed in wooded areas for privacy.
Bad market, perhaps now is not the best time to move. Providing you find the right home for your rental barn horses that might put you in a better financial position. Just my two cents. Very Best to you and Nathan. Chin up! We’re rooting for you! 💙🙏😊
We are in the exact same boat and I have thought about that same shared horse community. We just want a small, but nice, house with land. It’s impossible to find.
It took a lifetime but I have finally accepted that God is in control and He always lets you know when He is moving in your life. I think it's pretty obvious that He has a plan for you. Don't give up, stay as strong as you are, and look for some open doors in Kentucky. I suspect that there are quite a few Mustang lovers who will be willing and anxious to help. There is a rainbow coming soon. Hugs.
And it still gets worse every time tho. And the way things keep going, the government will somehow prevent that from happening and claim that it's what's best for the economy because that's apparently all that matters anymore.
Oh sweetheart that’s a horrible predicament to be in, I know it sounds crazy but can you build onto the run in shelter?, and put something across the front to protect the horses in the winter, it’s just something temporary, and a quick solution for now, and your perfect property will come along, and I was going to mention the tiny living thing, I know it’s huge in the USA, it’s slowly growing over here now, keep smiling and stay strong young lady 💖, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
You went to Keeneland. If you want to buy a nice thoroughbred go on the last two days and find a nice yearling for under $10k. There are plenty who will need you and make lovely horses for you.
I'm sorry for what ya are going through I had to laugh when ya said why do houses have to be so bag my first thought how decades ago and still today families lived in 4 room house I knew someone who leaved in 3 room house and they had 17 in family just about keeping up with the Jones rather be in 4 room house than some big new framed house I hope everything works out for y'all ✌️❤️
The barn I ride at has like 5 houses down a gravel road. One central barn is larger than the others. They are all individual homes so they don’t share everyone I’ve heard people share things go south 🤣 as someone has to own the shared parcel and then those who use it don’t do something they should etc. where we are no one shares anyways but it’s nice because it’s all horse people. No one drives fast. Share carriers and vet fees and no one sets off fireworks!

Curious if you don't mind me asking (you don't have to answer): Why is it only a joke? It sounds like a good idea.
i love the idea of a tiny home horse properties!
Prayers for peace in this stressful time.
It's a real shame that a wrench got thrown into your winter plans, but I have faith that you'll be able to work it out.
So sorry for the issues at the horseback. Prayers for finding a home & property for your horses. Thank you for sharing
Selling horses is the absolute worst. I'm with you and I hate it too. Hugs

I agree with sunshine

Good luck home hunting. I agree the real eatate market will come down, but not crash. Be careful with the mold. Nothing is worth your health.
Affordability in this state is painful
it's the entire country

I will watch and subscribe aas long as you don't use a whip except for gentle encouragement during lunging ..
Every few years, the real estate bubble bursts and it becomes a buyers market. If you have a down payment saved up you might find something.
And it still gets worse every time tho. And the way things keep going, the government will somehow prevent that from happening and claim that it's what's best for the economy because that's apparently all that matters anymore.
@@Kiraiko44 depends on the area, homes last barely a week where I live. My parents just sold theirs for 50k over asking price.
1 door closes....another door opens ! iT will work out.
I would totally rent a kind of tiny home you're describing.
🙏
