Super glad you posted this. Was just working today under time constraints and my 77 hoe bucket stopped curling. Was afraid it would be a protracted repair with the dealer. Your video helped me find that a nut had indeed fallen off the control arm. Replaced it with a nylok nut and was up and running in short order. Thank you sir.
Just came in cause my bx23s bhoe lift lever just came undone(broken?). Your vid only 1 that came up. Informative n easy to grasp the operation of things. Well, I've gotta grab some tools n go outback to fix the issue(boom was out n down, so can't drive it back). Thanks 4 the vid
Maybe I should write more than I do, but this was great, thanks. My backhoe sometimes swings both ways great, sometimes barely 1 way at all. Also, it seems while I am driving, the hoe seems to swing ever so little 1 way all by itself. I need to keep adjusting it, so this helps me narrow my research, thanks.
Wow Many Thanks for this information. I can't believe Kubota will do such a shitty job on quality Control before releasing this unit from their factory. Looks like something we'll need to get Kubota attention on it. Usually they'll listen when it gets public and already doing some damage to the company reputation. But it's what it is, if it's what it takes to make them address this issue on a brand new piece of equipment, that isn't cheap, then so be it.
We have a new BH77 Kubota backhoe. The dipper will not hold its position. It is always slowly curling when the tractor is running. When you move the lever to curl it first extends before it begins to curl in. When you stretch the boom way out you have to keep extending the curl out to get full reach. Then when you go down with the boom and start to dig you don't have good control because the bucket curls out as if it had air in it. It makes it difficult when you are trying to work in very close spaces. The dealer said all the BH77 Kubota's are that way. Steve
WRONG, they "ALL" don't do this . The curl cylinder is BAD. It is leaking internaly & back-feeding. If its under warranty, get kubogy to fix it. If not ,take it to a Hydraulic-service Shop. If you take it to the DEALERSHIP & its "not" under warranty; they will "Rob you blind".
I had the exact same problems on my BH77, had to thread lock and adjust mine, however, I've also had two valves go bad at 550 hours and now that I'm at 930 hours i'm having another vavle going bad. Mind you, a single valve is $500 and labor takes the total to $1000. I only use my backhoe 1/3rd of the time, so about every 100 hours of use I'm paying 1000 in repairs. My only guess is that this adjustment to the handles has possibly put excessive pressure on a valve. I change hydraulic fluid early and religiously and have been extra careful about dirt getting on the connectors into the machine in any way. Really would like to know why this is happening.
Thanks for uploading this video! I just bought an L3910 w a BH77, first day of use the boom will not swing right.....I'm about to take it all apart but before I do any suggestions by any chance?

This is now on my list of not broke things to fiddle with... Great videos. Keep them coming.

Great tips. Thanks. Should be part of the Dealer Pre-Delivery.
👍 thanks for sharing I'll be checking mine now!
Nice I just got my BH77 and gonna do this anyway
Thanks Tom. Good info for when I will inevitably have to adjust my BH77!

If there was enough thread I would have used nylok nuts vs the thread lock.
