      Yeah I agree desktopdoodle, after seeing the beginning of your playlist you are obviously on of those imbeciles that doesn't see or downplays the benefits of cannabis. We did not really discover the endocannabinoid system until 1992. The endocannabinoid system is throughout our bodies with CB1 and CB2 receptors in your organs including the brain and liver. The over 100 phytocannabinoids that the cannabis plant has mirror many of the cannabinoids our body naturally produces. We have not begun to understand the interactions this plant has with our bodies. Bottom line: No one has ever died because of imbibing cannabis.

      @@Dark0ripper I think THC is a stronger psychedelic than people realise, it is can cause quite difficult somatic, psychological and even psychedelic experiences. I like to push the boundaries myself with it, just vaping and it can still cause me quite a bit of trouble, but I use breathing techniques and meditation to adjust myself to any trouble it causes. I could never try a strong edible myself because it would likely cause me issues. I would suggest trying something like the WIm Hof method, the breathing aspect, or a simple breathing techniques like oxygen advantage and with meditation with your usage. There are ways to control your heart rate while under the influence and bring yourself back to a nice calm place. It is worth trying because it might help you really enjoy your cannabis use more too.

    I had a stroke from consuming too many edibles. I was new to cannabis use and thought edibles would be healthier than smoking. I never felt high (something about being THC naive) but ended up with cyclic vomiting, a horrible unrelenting state of panic, and ultimately RCVS (reversible cerebrovascular spasms)s). Unfortunately, the arteries spasmed so long and so hard that they shut off oxygen to the occipital lobe of my brain, and I had a stroke. I lost a lot of vision and can't drive anymore. I think this is what he's discussing at 0:23 . I do hope people inform themselves of the risk of overdosing on marijuana gummies. @@matthewgardner5983 It is called cortical visual impairment. Basically, my eyes can see fine, but my brain cannot read what my eyes see. It manifests itself as blind spots in the centers of both eyes. But "blind spot" does not mean blackness; it just means whatever is there is not seen, and your brain fills in the rest of the picture. Example, when you close your left eye, you don't see blackness on the left side; you just don't see anything. It's the same with blind spots. I will look at a person and not realize I haven't seen their nose area. I once complained to my husband that I was still hungry at a restaurant, and he said, "so eat the food on the left side of your plate"..I just hadn't noticed it (I was really happy to have more sweet and sour pork!). When I first came home from the hospital, I looked at our family portrait of 6, and I could only see 2 people unless I forced myself to look for the others. After that, it dramatically improved over the next 8 months or so. I don't drive because I know I would miss a pedestrian and the lanes are hard to delineate. I can't easily read (magnification really help) which is a bummer because I'm a retired lawyer, and I was always reading about issues or for pleasure. Totally agree with your viewpoint, but eating something unhealthy increases your chance of heart disease in the long run, while getting too high can make you have a heart attack then and there. I've had three times now where I thought I was dying from getting too high, the heart palpations were that strong, I was more exhausted then running a marathon and I was just trying to stay conscious lying on the coach. We gotta understand that not everyone reacts the same to weed and some people just straight up have weak hearts and can't handle these experiences and that there is such a thing as TOO MUCH.

      @fifteenbyfive Год назад

      @@x10018ro No, eating that dinner will kill you in a matter of hours because for hours after you eat it, your blood clumps together. Keep that up for years, and eventually that last meal will do you in. "Feeling like you're going to have a heart attack" is subjective and can mean anything, and in this case, nothing close to what it actually means to feel like having an actual heart attack, and thus has no bearing on the analogy. I've had a few instances like you've described myself and that doesn't verify that I react differently than other people, I can react different than myself, 0.1% of the time. Simultaneously it's like putting all cannabis in a box and treating it all the same too. That's ridiculous. But you're right in the major points including the TOO MUCH part. You sir or mam are on the side of speculation. I happen to agree there is absolutely more information needed and i also believe there is likely a correlation between the diet of weed smokers and more detailed studies should be done... but guess what? THERE IS NO STUDY ON THAT SO IT IS CURRENTLY SPECULATION. let that sit in your noggin a bit before your biased opinion takes over with the countless regurgitated speculation thrown around in the pro weed (and those against weed) community. Until there is actually studies out there testing these things you propose, then sorry.. but you are a person of speculation and a person who is blaming Greger from presenting the studies to us (which this one so happens to be one you don't like). Hmm if Greger was so against weed why did he not brush over that part and only focused on the part of that study that said yes weed causes more accidents than sober? Turns out when weed is available it reduced drunk driving ultimately lowering car crashes. this is a rhetorical question btw. I spent enough time on this. I smoked that damn evil crap from 2001 till 2005 and casually till 2006, almost gave up and smoking a puff once in a while till 2008. The best thing ever happened to me in life is when I stopped to smoke that crap. I'm now 36 healthy cause always been high level sport even with a drop during my stoner/loser period. My friends who kept smoking, are now bunches of weirdos, not counting the ones who went and are still into cocaïne. Weed is thrown voluntarily on the market to destroy youngsters and society.

    There's one confounding variable that I'm wondering whether the researchers accounted for, which is: munchies. People who smoke get hungry, often going for the easy, junky options. Is the risk independent of diet quality and other such characteristics? I expect that a typical stoner diet might include an abundance of pizza and potato chips and cupcakes.
    I'm not a smoker myself, btw, so it's not like I'm looking for some excuse to make smoking more acceptable to my psyche, but it seems like an obvious possible confounder.

  • @scottcarlson1898

    When someone uses “pot” to describe cannabis, they’re typically bias against it. Cannabis is the most medicinal plant we have along with being commercially very important. While I live a WFPB lifestyle and respect Dr. Greger’s nutritional lectures, he is the last person I would listen to regarding cannabis. The MD to listen to is Dr. Bonni Goldstein. She’s treated over 12,000 patients using cannabis. Specifically on respiratory issues, you should research Dr. Donald Tashkin from the UCLA School of Medicine. He has been researching the respiratory response from cannabis for decades.

And remove plant particles by extraction of the hash oil to remove the couphy plant particles, and dab screens with bud underneath the screens to absorb any hash oil that drips through the screen and allows full burning for a full toke that would otherwise be lost, due to the problem of hash oil dripping through the screen, sticking to the side of my pipe, instead of gifting me up with euphoric delight of every moment of the day :-)

    I'd like to see what they define a "marijuana cigarette" or joint as in their studies, as both are marketed and known to contain tobacco, sometimes more tobacco than marijuana. Whereas if they swapped them for a blunt or smoked through a bong, two methods that don't have tobacco at all, I'd be pretty confident in seeing different results
