Excellent ... Great content as always Adam. I've said it many times and I'll say it again- you are the the foremost authority on EUC tech. I appreciate all the time and effort that you contribute to providing vital information for EUC enthusiasts. It's clear that this is your life, you live, eat, breathe & sleep and everything there is to everything E. U. C. ... Thanks again. You will probably read these same words again, next time I feel I should comment.
Another awesome video Adam. Can I just add, whenever you open your wheel to look for anything (water/dirt/damage) ... check everything. Make sure the L hanger bolts are tight, check all plugs are plugged in properly, look for pinched wires, cracks in shell and look at the guide line on the tire to make sure it is even. Don't just open your wheel to say, look for water/moisture... find none and shut the wheel again.... while it is open, look at everything... even use a magnifying glass and flashlight. Also, take some pics so after you have checked the tightness of everything and have put the sides back on... you can look at the pics and inspect it again, or compare pics once you open it up next time. One thing I found with getting the tire aligned on the rim, sometimes if the tire guide line is too far out or in at the valve stem... you have trouble getting it right on the other opposite side.... it can help to push the valve sten in half way which allows to tire to move... whereas if there is still a few pounds of air in the tube, that can stop the tire from being moved right at the valve area.
Another great video, as always. Regarding the aching feet, I found switching to different pair of shoes helped me massively. I now only ride with a pair of light walking shoes. A harder, rugged sole made a huge difference and allows more leverage when leaning.
Absolutely love this kind of videos on different aspects of living with your euc , riding, analyzing and repairing, overhauling and the like! Reviews on new euc:s are also nice, but we’re not buying as often as riding and experiencing the euc we have, so I personally find vids like this one the most interesting and useful. Having said that, please keep also doing all those reviews on new euc:s, I find your reviews among the most honest ones and really analytic, educational, still fun.👍
Consistently creating some of the best EUC content - thanks Adam! Your page is where I send new riders for learning; it's a great combination of information and entertainment. V8f (~650 miles) went into vibrator mode due to the left pedal hanger bolt loosening - total disassembly. V8f (~500 miles) motherboard died - partial disassembly. V8f battery died (~600 miles) - partial disassembly. S18 (~1600 miles) went into full front/back knock mode until the left suspension bolts tightened and thread locked - partial disassembly. Both wheels need a new tire. MTen3 (~800 miles) keeps cruising along ... no issues. In both loose pedal cases, I didn't notice it until near failure as it is gradual. It's scary how loose they were. I'm checking those big bolts monthly now as part of the maintenance routine. Keep up the great work and safe riding!
I have an inmotion V8S and I was having significant pain in my feet and calves. I adjusted the balance angle to plus 1 and it made all the difference in the world. If your EUC has a setting for that, I’d recommend experimenting with it.
I do find that trying different shoes for me makes a difference. For instance a trainer can have a wedge sole design and VANS are just flat. I prefer the flat design as I dont have to stand too much on my toes to keep the wheel going. This is also where the pads come into play that you can just use your shins to keep the power on the forward tilt. Awesome tips
Thank you for bringing up the direction of wheel patern. I got confused with the Micheline tire as its a MC front tire. All good as i mounted it as a MC rear tire with the patern pointing forward.
Good information, I would add some more. 2:25 its better to use automotive / bike method for tire trueing. Deflate the tire, use soap water on the tire walls. Inflate the tire to maximum allowed pressure, deflate the tire to your targeted pressure. This way you should get consistent result. If not its maybe because the tire was stocked in deformed shape. 9:38 I would emphasize to not drive and test with EUC with that problem because it can completely damage itself beyond repairable. Service it as soon as possible. 14:48 Also the first thing to disconnect / last thing to connect is the battery plug to be sure that you wont switch on the wheel in semi-assemebled state even accidentaly. This can be dangerous and also damage your euc. 15:10 be extremely careful with separating the rotor / stator. The forces involved could easily pinch -> injure you.
most gotways end up doing it. both of my do. That being said I'm going to take them apart today and tighten everything one by one. It makes sense this could happen given the regular bumpy riding I put into them
@@treasuredcollectibles My v10f had a weird airy grind-hiss noise from the beginning and I don't know anyone else who has one so I couldn't be like "is this normal?" It's probably the way the motors work if multiple brands do it.
With motorcycle tires, direction had more to do with how force is applied. Rear tires are made to take force under acceleration and front tires are made to take force under braking. If you get a front motorcycle tire, I would(and have) mount it backwards. Though at the speeds and forces involved with EUC I doubt it really matters much.
Great topic! Very helpful. Thanks for sharing. You gonna do a review or share your thoughts on those kinetic pads? Maybe you have and I just haven't seen yet.

What a comment for me to see hahaha. I live here in NW-Florida, and I actually just had some cops pull over and ask me about it. Thankfully, where I live they're pretty chill, but they were all smiles. They asked me what it is, is it hard to ride, how do you ride it, how far can you go, how do I balance it, etc. I was showing them how to ride it and explaining it to them for about 15 minutes, and they told me to just be safe and careful, and that they've noticed me out riding but were always curious to ask just *what* it is. So, while your mileage may vary, here in NW-Florida they were pretty kind about it, and the townsfolk here love it as well as it's my daily commuter!
