at this point the universal consensus is don't waste your time on the MMU2. It's 3 or nothing. It's why I haven't printed in color in a while. And since color is mostly a requirement, it's why I haven't done much printing this year.
@@M3rl1n87 Funny thing is it sounds like their current solution is WAY better than the MMU2 was, but it's not "perfect" or it hasn't been tested "perfect" yet, so they won't release it. But yeah after that update they won't even give estimates on the mk4 version anymore. lol
@@ulaB same, but my mk4 is my main printer now. The quality is just so much better. So the mk3 will be for less important components when the mk4 is overloaded.
Very cool tour. I would like to see more about the differences in how the different filaments are made… like pla, Petg, abs. I think that would be interesting.
Awesome tour and great to see their facility. I've been a fan of printed solid for several years and the Jessie's PLA has been one of my main brands. Unfortunately I still run a 2.85 mm machine which can make some of the options a bit limited. I understand as it's a somewhat dieing diameter
importing, inventory (storage), and yes the free shipping all play into the cost. You also have the benefit of getting it faster generally as well without any issues with importing yourself
"It says danger do not touch and I'm smarter than I look" so Florida Man missed an opportunity to Florida Man? Not through the video yet, if you burn yourself in questionable places later on I'll retract my statement. 🤣
I would disagree there, but only because the ones for making quick change rainbow or the dual color/ tri color filaments are considerably different. I dig the tech in them, how simple, yet sophisticated they are!
Not really. Like 3D printers, there are some parts that play important roles in affecting quality and reliability. e.g. extruder screw, PLC controllers etc. Some of the fancier ones can do weaves/cladding.
I mean, that's all fair, but the same could be said for cars, they all have engines, tires, etc, but it's the little touches that make them all different. Maybe I just haven't spent enough time to get jaded around them yet LOL
Love factory tours. Thank you for this walkthrough!
Thanks for watching!
If the new alchemy drop is Grant Rant Red, I'm gonna have to find some things to print that look good in red.
We did not make a red, but we may go make some custom colors one day soon!
I really appreciate that you are not screaming in the camera!
Great video BTW!
wireless mics are amazing!
@@3DMusketeers Until they aren't I guess :P
This is awesome thank you for sharing
absolutely!
wait......that's vase mode! I had no idea! That's crazy
Right?! So cool!!
You sound normal at 125% speed. At 150%, you are perfectly clear.
nope, at 100% I am normal lol
Great to see the inside of how it is made and the warehouse.
oh, it will get better in the next video!

still waiting on my MMU3 upgrade to ship, been months and every time i check the order the ship date has changed /cry

very fair! I do wish they would ship the MMU3's faster!
Did you try the new firmware on the MMU2 yet? I've been told it improves things a lot.

I use Alpha on the Mini, it’s crazy fast but not perfect. Some video about extra sheeting will be great. Cheers
I do really like it, havent noticed a bunch of issues with it. I'm still on alpha 1, not the 2
@@3DMusketeers it’s maybe because I print a lots with Silk PLA, they don’t like speed and heat 🤷🏼♂️
they do not, you will need to print them hotter to keep the silk up.
lol you need a shopping cart.
I do....

We will be showing how Elixir is made soon!!

They do produce some 2.85 though, but yeah, it is not popular. Time to switch!!
Did you ask them why the Prusament is more expensive on their website than Prusa's own website? Shipping shouldn't make a 20% difference, right?

Man I dont need to leave my finger prints behind on that machine, it was VERY hot.
Please make a video with the prusa mini alpha firmware!!!
here's hoping others want it too!
STL for that engine block??
no clue..
I kind of wish, Prusa did stock Printed Solid filaments now, but Heather will probably not like that.
LOL I mean, it IS job security for her after all...
You've seen one extruder line, you kinda seen them all.

See, how do people claim to get tangled spools?
I have said it from Day 1, it is the user's fault 99.9% of the time lol
hahaha! poor Domingo
we love him though!
No poor Domingo , he is sales and loves it
Are those curls natural? He he
Yes they are actually!
