    They lost me when Inmusic bought them. Made in USA was the main reason I supported Moog through the years. As for Moog One, mine is awesome. I’ve never had issues with it. And king pin? That’s hilarious! 😂

      I love the maid in America as well. Are there any made American companies left now in the synthesize world? I don’t think so. Yeah I’ve heard reviews on the. Moog one some people love it. Some people had a nightmare the demos. I’ve heard sound pretty good. You watching the show let’s hope the mirror surprises everybody

    And dude I’m telling you I would never own another piece of Moog gear again. And there are going to be people that criticize me for saying that and it’s sad because I loved Moog equipment years ago and they were the kings of the synthesize of world and Bob Moog was definitely one of the pioneers, but unfortunately I can’t put my eggs in their basket anymore.
    I had lots of Moog stuff, and I ended up selling it all because I had issues with almost every single piece, except for the Dfam.
    When a company lives off of their past and still prices things as high as they did, when they first came out years and years ago and there’s a couple other companies that are doing the same stuff. It just angers me and I get it it’s all hand wired and it’s made in America and it’s this and it’s that and it’s this and it’s that , you know it’s kind of sad actually so unfortunately, Moog became one of those companies that screwed their employees over and I believe screwed their customers over.

      In my ventures around the Internet, brother, I see a lot of people with the exact same sentiment as you. They did a really good job with marketing to keep their reputation squeaky clean in the media, but it seems a lot of owners of their equipment. We’re very unsatisfied by all the problems that they had with their gear Maiden in America thing was a little bit of a tongue cheek, marketing ploy because we all knew that it was made overseas. But it’s amazing how much people love some of the MOOG synthesizers and also amazing to me how they don’t get as much criticism for having so many issues, great brother

    but... Moog was an EMPLOYEE OWNED company, right? So, if they (the employee/owners) decided to sell the company, they must haver known they would be released/fired, right? At the very least, they had to know it was a possibility, right? It's not like they couldn't have seen this coming (and, on some level, have been OK with it), yes?

    The workflow/interface from what can be seen looks good. IF it is at heart 4 Matriarch boards it should sound good. A $4k price is unavoidable given where it will be assembled/tested/packaged and how much is added for the label. This was well past prototype into production logistics before acquisition so in my mind NOT an InMusic product, but one to went ahead with. (I suspect parts had already been ordered) An unlikely possibility is full reveal happens next week at Musikmesse. If so that would be excellent marketing IMHO. I still dream of a 2010 4 voice 4 part 4 octave little phatty with 4 assignable outputs and a global LFO with phase offset/part. Something like that would still be selling strong today.

    • @synthsamuraiproductions

      I had a dream last night that Moog was going to take their Moog One plateform and revamp it, take alessis proprietary tech and release the Moog Andromeda. As their super 16 voice.

      @@synthsamuraiproductions when it came out for me it was either get it or get into 5U modular and I did the latter. One can be had used for $5k. Were I spending that much 3rd Wave is the ONLY other synth I would even consider over this 20+ year old monster used, but only for a minute before getting the A6.

      @@klstay i heard it had major heat issues. That true? Maybe moog can solve that and make it more of a flip top or raised top like the moog one.

    • @wonderwheel80s
      @wonderwheel80s 2 месяца назад +1

      I'd bet it will not be 4K, not even near. If it will, it will be a flop, because all of the competiton is cheaper, not only Behringer. And I don't think InMusic bought Moog to make it flop again.

    • @klstay
      @klstay 2 месяца назад +1

      @@wonderwheel80s assembled/tested/packaged in Asheville = right around $4k. Guaranteed. They had been working on this at least 2 years before the acquisition. My guess is first production run of parts and assembly tooling/setup & worker training materials were done before acquisition as well. So, InMusic went to production as is. There is no doubt they are re-working all BOMs for part commonality across all their lines and moving assemble/test/package offshore to their same manufacturers as fast as they can, but not with this, the Model D, or the modular stuff. Were price the only factor how did they sell well over 3,000 Moog One synths? What is the competition for this synth? For more than a few it will be OB-X8 and Prophet 10 while some will also think Super Gemini. (More than a few will, foolishly IMHO, overlook Polybrute and Summit as alternativies) Those 3 all cost more and continue to get "buzz" and sales. Same for the 4 octave 6 voice monotimbrals from Sequential which cost close to as much.

  • @dmitribovski1292

    Dood other synth companies are doing the same announcing stuff before it is in serious production.
    Hydrasynth was 2 years, Osmose 3 years, Look at the Behringer stuff they tell you they are planning to make stuff before the development has started.
    It will go out to large beta-testers well before they go into production.
    A.I. is sucking up all the fab bandwidth.
