What I also saw people doing is instead of going into Schuberta, you make a second Bacha, you keep the first one on field, make Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon (XYZ) with them and link that and some other monsters into a link 2 or 3 depending on your board state. Now you get a Vortex Dragon with a build in negate for free as an Anti-Nibiru Protection before you start your real plays or they have to nib you before you make absolute, which is also a huge win for you.
Melodious Supreme King is a variant that has seen some success and experimentation over in the OCG, if you could cook a version for the TCG that would be great!
The engine works really well with the new Galaxy-Eyes/Tachyon stuff. Ostinato on its own turns into 3 mat Apo, hope harbinger, photon lord, Schuberta, galaxy eyes link 2, and the tachyon omni negate trap.
So I’ve done some experiments with this engine and the best thing I’ve concocted is vortex dragon, IP with an extra monster for SP, apollousa with 3 negates, dis pater with one card banished and FA Dawn dragster
and Ostinato is not once per turn. nice Ash Blossom you had there 😂 but I hate the fact that this engine is so splashable. people will shotgun it in every deck for no reason
Its funny that my friend hyped melodious engine day 1 after reveal and people didnt believe, it may not be the best sure, but he saw the potential and I can see now why too is kinda like superheavy samurai engine and sometimes even better

It could be useful against tenpai dragon. Bloom diva cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, and their trap can make a melodious unaffected by spell/traps. Flowering etoile can also clear your field while bouncing a bunch of your opponent's card, but clearing your field can allow you to use Lose 1 Turn, although that's for a pure build.
You do know they can easily negate your Bloom Diva? Samurai Destroyer declares attack and now she can be destroyed by battle and they can pop it with monster effects. Etoile is definitely better, since she is Quick Effect, so you can still use her in the Battle Phase, but most likely, if you do that, they will just make Black Rose or Meteorburst in Main Phase and then you are kinda done for again.
@@reirei_tk yeah the deck has tons of answers to stuff, but getting rid of their field spell makes them more attackable again, like ghost ogre or veidos is nice and they both become more relevant again in the coming meta in general, especially with how many field spells and a couple continuous cards running around next meta
the good part because ur stuck with Melodoius and light monsters less Chance it would even get hit badly I mean if ware at max I say two copies I think would be reasonable any lower and then they can't function just my opinion
Pure Melodious is one of the better match ups for Tenpai since, like Tenpai are also able to play a lot of non engine/tech like Honest to partner up other cards like Etoile who is a quick effect, non targeting mass removal alongside the OG Aria/Elegy lock which would typically a turn ender against them. There is a strong case for pure Melodious this format as a threatening rogue option. Far too many people are sleeping on it.
Its not a pendulum deck, its an engine. Also super heavy samurai existed and needed an emergency banlist. How good pendulums are just depends on the format, shifter fucks them up a ton

I've been testing this engine in voiceless and the end board with 2 cards is really crazy
I wouldn't really say that noone talks about this, this engine is widely used to cook spicy lists and combos right now
