for 80 dollars I seriously don't understand why this doesn't have both Bluetooth AND direct connection options. If it did both it could be usable as a normal controller in it's folded state, I mean look at it, it just begs to be used both ways.
I've used several Bluetooth controllers and this definitely appeals to me more and it wraps around the phone more naturally than the clip on styles. I had a Kickstarter product called the phone joy and this really reminds me of that controller. I'm still hoping for a dedicated gaming tablet with buttons and triggers that has high end internal specs as that would still be more desirable than a phone and separate controllers. I'm currently using the GPD XD plus and although its portable and good enough for emulators it feels too dated to cope well with xcloud. Fingers crossed for another device to come out. 🤞
Fun fact; Razer is partially owned by a person from Singapore, and this country I’m living however doesn’t have ps now or stadia but they release Razer products expensive than Us market
Honestly, for less money you can buy a Xbox one or DS4 controller with an attachable foldable phone holder and it's significantly better quality with rumble and it doesn't block any ports or speakers
How's your Razer Kishi today after a year. I started using it again and it's basically useless. I use to play Rainbow Six using an android phone and Shadow PC and now the Kishi is not recognized. I also have Grid AutoSport on the phone and it doesn't recognize the Kishi either. Yet, if I use a gamepad diagnostic tool, all the buttons and joystick are recognized by the utility.
The price seems kinda ridiculous to me at £80, it's a unique product for sure and ideal if you plan on playing games almost exclusively from your phone, but it costs so much more than just a controller and a clip that I'd find it hard to justify
Agreed, all of razors shit is like this. As soon as I became an adult I realized razor is definitely not worth it. This is not even as premium as an xbox controller and it's twice the price. It's not even wireless which means the parts should be even cheaper. It really makes no sense for it to cost this much lol.
I love my kishi, I got the xbox version and the home button is an x like the xbox and the A,B X,Y are correctly colored on mine. Would recommend to anybody to pick it up if they are planning to cloud game on there android. I have been having a blast on x cloud
How is the stick's sensitivity? I have an old ipega and it's impossible to play fps like halo on xcloud...it's impossible to do little movement for aiming.
Sadly, almost every controller review goes through specs but don't get into specifics or even actually take them for a spin. Then we end up with subpar or downright unusable devices with massive dead zones which make actual gaming impossible. I have an Ipega 9083s which got very decent reviews by a popular reviewer, it's a disaster. Analogs are absolute garbage, it's L3 doesn't even work. Horrible. It's all about the views man!
If it's fitted right it's absolutely fine, I use it on the s21 ultra and although it fits it is tight and needs to be on perfectly, if not the left hand side will slip back.
My only complaints are the triggers. They look very cheap made and I've been told they feel touchy, plus apperently the grip of the Kishi it's self is awkward feeling
this sounds really cool, but the phone I want to buy (android of course) is a 6.7in x 3.01in x .04 in, do you think that this might still work, or would it be to snug? thanks for the cool video.
i had one of the moga controllers for the iphone 5c back in the day, now im an android user (mostly because i love emulators) and now i really want this but its so pricy when i already own a switch and gaming pc
I use it on the S10e and it fits fine and solid, but you can tell it's meant for bigger phones. There are small gaps on the sides and the height of the phone doesn't make the straps on the back of the Kishi stretch too much. It is probably the smallest phone you'd want to use with the Kishi.
would you say there's any lag with this when playing CoD via Shadow? I tried using my PS4 v2 controller via bluetooth and there was an issue with the sensitivity so aiming was off; I tried two controllers. If this doesn't lag then it might be a shout to pick one up.
It would be hard for me to say. The benefit of the Kishi is there should technically be less delay as its directly connected to your device so you don't have to worry about additional delay caused by Bluetooth but the rest of the performance would be down to your wifi speed
Gaming is all I know I think.... But seriously Controllers for Gaming Shield & Xbox are the only 2 I have both Good... I wanna get the Stadia and Steam Controllers...
I like it so far. It is pretty tiny so its not the easiest to hold. I definitely notice less latency with it compared to an Xbox controller Also no headphone jack and the USB port is only a charge pass through so usb headphones don't work
Looking at the two, the Kishi thumb sticks are just a bit smaller than on a standard Xbox controller so fit shouldn't be an issue but they may be loose
Get a DS4 or Xbox one controller with a phone stand. I have the glap, it's fine but not as good as a legit controller; for quality, no deadzones, rumble, feel, charging and speaker pass through, and you won't have phone size combatibility issues.
Hey can you help me out, I want to play war zone on a cloud gaming software and I’m based in the uk, which one would be the best without latency on controller
Do your research. Shadow is already in the iOS store and works great. It’s even on the Apple TV. Project Xcloud is also currently in beta and works great. Both on iOS.
its a standard controller so yes, but you would need a female usb C to A or female usb C to C. You will need to plug it into your windows machine so your limited to sitting back on a wired connection. You can do it, but why?
@@MarkWattsVLG So at 3:47 of your video, this device wouldn't have worked if you selected "Shadow Desktop" instead of launching "installed games" directly? What I want to do is open the android app, select "Shadow Desktop", and launch Xbox Game Pass, etc directly on the desktop from phone.

The Kishi, on the other hand, is more of a universal controller.
