I don't know why it never occurred to me to remove those rubber inserts (subconsciously I assumed they were glued in) but just took them out and my mi11 now fits in without taking it out the case! Thank for the tip!
The USB-C port where you plug your phone into the GameSir x2 caused the plastic on the inside to bow outward and rub against the left joystick (probably from overuse?) despite only having it for only a month. I had to break open the case and chip away the bowed out plastic to stop it from causing problems with the joystick. While it does work, the plastic served as a stop for the usb-c to keep it from going in all the way when hooking your phone up. So I can see that it slightly angles with no wall to stop against. Kind of a big flaw if you ask me.
I own both and the Kishi’s trigger button broke within a week. Razer refused warranty claiming fair use so not buying from them again. I am still using the X2 and very happy with it.

Thank you very much in advance for your time
Hi there, thanks for watching and good spot on the Legion! It will fit in the Kishi if you remove the rubber insert but I don't feel comfortable using it like this (it doesn't feel 'solid' when playing games). The Gamesir doesn't block the cooling system because even if you completely cover that back fan on the Legion 2 it actually draws in air from the side of the phone and back out on the opposite side of the phone (from right-to-left from memory I don't actually have my Legion anymore) - check and look at the side air vents on it - that's why they're there. So in theory you could go for the X2 with USB C without any issues 👌
Well I got the X2 because of aesthetics. If another such gamepad with data passthrough or built-in audio jack comes around , then I'll probably shelve the X2. I know it's not impossible to make a gamepad like that because i have it already, kind of. It's just that the left analog isn't the greatest and that right stick is a digital slider.
For iOS devices, the Backbone One has lightning passthrough and a 3.5mm audio jack (and audio passthrough on the lightning port too!) so I’m hopeful that Gamesir’s next update may include something like this.
the main problem with the kishi is the fixed usb port, I have the note 20 ultra and the controller extends at its maximum and every single time I set my phone I am afraid it will break or damage my phone port. just ordered the GameSir and will compare but a deal breaker for me was the mobile USB C port. besides the kishi, at least when fully extended feels flimsy and I really don't like that, kishi fit it's so tight that even the screen protector was peeled from my note making it another down side. With the GameSir I hope I can set my Note 20 ultra without fear of damage it and with a screen protector on it, and maybe, just maybe even with a thin case on too, when I got it I will tell.
Oh wow, you're going to love the Gamesir then as you'll no longer have any of those issues! I don't have a screen protector on my S20 Ultra so didn't even think about the fact it could lift off when going inside the Kishi - good point 👍

WICH works perfectly with steamlink and parsec but with input controller Lag when I use moonlight. I hope this could help other users. Thank you sir.
I think it is better if controller companies do not try to compensate for phone cases as discussed here. The controllers need to be more sleek and streamlined, not less (as they would be if they try to accomodate cases too).
I like my kishi with my Galaxy s21 ultra, but the rubber part where the port is lifted up my screen protector on the corner... And i don't like that. I also don't like how the other side (not the one with the USBC port) is flimsy as far as being able to move and doesn't secure the phone too well
I have both Ipega and Beboncool mapping controllers and they work well except for the fact that on shooter games since they are not detectable by the game controller support settings I am unable to invert the Y access for looking, since this controller connects via C-port it is detectable to the games controller support unlike mapping controllers which means I can go into the actual game settings and invert the Y axis on shooter games that have controller support
i got the X2 because my Razer kishi on the left side went out, after some research it looks like its inevitable and out of my frustration because i liked the controller i got this one, sad because the kishi was nice
*Update* it does not lol. Or rather it does but you need to download a different remote play app that a dev made. 5 dollars but definitely worth it to be able to use this for remote play
I love kishi but the downside are not recommended for bigger phone like samsung Note20 or s21 ultra. I have to force it to get it fit. Months later, my dpad, left joystick, L1, and L2 are not responding.
That's kinda garbage. Switch joy cons had a reason to be bad like. It has a dpad that are buttons because it can be used for 2 player mode. Gamesir doesn't have any reason to do that and it's other cons.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean, stretching the Kishi open to get my S20 Ultra in was always a bit precarious 😅 The design of the X2 wins in that case!
@@AndroidAddicts thats the downside of having a mobile controller , no way of putting that fan , because smartphone always thermal throttle on demanding games
I see that you had the S8 in without a case on the Razer Kishi. You think a S9 with a case would fit well, as today's standard they are smaller phones. Yes, I am aware of the controllers today. I am interested in the kishi because it is $40 on Amazon.
You may be able to take out the rubber inserts as some people suggested (to use it with a case on) but it might not feel as 'solid' in the hands if you do so...
Kishi has analogue triggers which is the biggest benefit, it's also more compact when not in use and has nicer feeling buttons overall. The negatives for the Gamesir are the lack of analogue triggers, d-pad and overall doesn't feel as nice as the Kishi. However, there have been newer versions of the Gamesir since this video so be sure to check out my other videos to take a look at how it's improved 👍
Mine lasted a little over a year before whole left side died. Didn't play much though, maybe same lkke 5 months everyday use during that year. Seems the quality and design of the flex-cable is sub-par
you can get a decent thickness of case on the gamesir if you dont mind voiding your warranty, just cut off the silly rubber pads on the usb-c side, i got spiegen tough armor case for galaxy z fold 2 to work which is silly thick.
The gamesir is a alot better for my samsung z fold 3! If I used the kesie I wouldn't fit and my case on my phone fits like a glove when I use the gamesir and I like the direct interface with the gamesir
Great comparison. In terms of input latency, are they the same or one has less latency than the other? I'm sensitive to input latency. I wanted newer type-c controllers after Kishi to have a 3.5mm jack or at least allow the pass-through charging port to allow dongles for headphones.
I'd say they're exactly the same but you can compare them in the following videos where I use Gamepad Tester to test them: Gamsir: ruclips.net/video/i7ba6imetCw/видео.html Kishi: ruclips.net/video/XNdRm7ZqOw8/видео.html I agree, any future iterations should include either 3.5mm or full USB C passthrough

@@AndroidAddicts i bought the kishi. It's a bullshit for pubg. It's almost impossible to control the player like with fingers. The sticks are not made to play such a game.
Reason I went with GameSir X2 is, I have a Galaxy Z Fold 5 and it's only controller I know of that has the USB - C on the left side which is the "correct" side for the foldable because of where our charging port is located. The Newest Kishi controller can accommodate the Fold, but it is upside down on the right side which can make it more awkward for Galaxy Fold players. So i've orderd both an one will go back.
You can play Xbox Game Pass games or any Android games that have controller support (or any Android game at all because you can map the keys with an app)
I use it for remote play to my ps4. You are able to change the buttons to mirror a ps4 controller. I also had to buy a creator made remote play app for like 5 dollars because the Sony remote play app does not let you use 3rd part controllers like this for remote play which is so dumb. 🤷🏾♂️

Thanks very much! I've just put up my Gamesir G4 Pro review so be sure to check it out! ruclips.net/video/jwkBPmS4shU/видео.html
@@AndroidAddicts hahaha I already bought it. It is in my country now, so in a few days I will be able to try it. I already have Ipega 9167. I want to know what is more Comfortable for me. Telescopic gamepad or full controller. That is the question.
I bought a LG g6 for 60 euros only for this hahaha. WICH works perfectly with steamlink and parsec but with input controller Lag when I use moonlight. I hope this could help other users. Thank you sir.
Haha wow nice! Hope it arrives soon! I find it really comfortable so I'm sure you will too! Thanks for your comment 👍
I think it is better if controller companies do not try to compensate for phone cases as discussed here. The controllers need to be more sleek and streamlined, not less (as they would be if they try to accomodate cases too).
That's a fair point 👍
I like my kishi with my Galaxy s21 ultra, but the rubber part where the port is lifted up my screen protector on the corner... And i don't like that. I also don't like how the other side (not the one with the USBC port) is flimsy as far as being able to move and doesn't secure the phone too well
4:51 why you looking for sound vent on a place for top part of a smartphone?
ok on another side sound vents is still missing, BUT WHY?)
Not 100% sure what you mean but I was talking about phones with front-facing speakers such as the Rog Phone 3 and Lenovo Legion Phone.
@@AndroidAddicts Phones like the Pixel 2 XL and Black Shark 3 have front facing stereo speakers and sound great in the Kishi
Thank you, you helped a lot.
Glad it helped!
i got the X2 because my Razer kishi on the left side went out, after some research it looks like its inevitable and out of my frustration because i liked the controller i got this one, sad because the kishi was nice
Hope you'll enjoy it - it'll take a bit of getting used to compared to the Kishi but it's a nice controller 👍
Does the X-2 work for playstation remote play🤔??
*Update* it does not lol. Or rather it does but you need to download a different remote play app that a dev made. 5 dollars but definitely worth it to be able to use this for remote play
@@kingace34 ye..PsPlay app.. works great
I love kishi but the downside are not recommended for bigger phone like samsung Note20 or s21 ultra. I have to force it to get it fit. Months later, my dpad, left joystick, L1, and L2 are not responding.
Just what I needed good sir
Glad to have helped 👍
OK so which is better in your opinion? X2 or Kishi? 🎮
That's kinda garbage. Switch joy cons had a reason to be bad like. It has a dpad that are buttons because it can be used for 2 player mode. Gamesir doesn't have any reason to do that and it's other cons.
@@godhero2566 $100 vs $65
@@jazielavila2554 it's actually $70 vs $80 with a $100 if you want the layout change
Edit: I also considered razer being garbage. Just slap a razer logo and the price just goes up by 200%
Kishi
X2 with analogue triggers and a real d-pad, a man can dream...
I’m going for the Kishi for my iPhone 12 Pro max
Keep your warrant, you might need it xD
both mobile gaming controllers are only made for Android, or am i wrong?
@@yiigiido5154 nope I have the Kishi for my iPhone
@@yiigiido5154 Kishi has an iOS version with lighting port passthrough. It’s about $20 more expensive.
Fantastic video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 💚
i think u forgot to mention the Gamesir X2 can support larger phones, that the kishi cannot, like the S20 Ultra, I have both controllers and an S20Ultra, and my phone barely fits in the kishi without a case, and it actually feels like the kishi will break cuz it needs to be stretched to the max, where as the gamesir x2 can easily fit the s20 ultra with a slim case.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean, stretching the Kishi open to get my S20 Ultra in was always a bit precarious 😅 The design of the X2 wins in that case!
Does the X2 support the gamesir world app. To map on screen buttons?
It does indeed but I used Panda Gamepad Pro which I prefer
@@AndroidAddicts does this controller work with COD mobile?
I can find a used Kishi about the same as the new X2, so I like Kishi best with its more durable appearance and Razer seems like a good company.
KEW WORD: "Seems".
Razer has a bad reputation amongst gamers in general.
Can the kishi fit a phone cooler ? Like it is not supposed to but can it fit regardless..
I wouldn't want to risk it. The strap at the back might block the fan or even break with too much pressure
@@AndroidAddicts thats the downside of having a mobile controller , no way of putting that fan , because smartphone always thermal throttle on demanding games
I had no idea those rubber things came off the kishi. My phone now fits just fine with the case it came with. OnePlus 7t
Neither did I until someone in one of my other videos mentioned it - I wouldn't ever recommend it though. Glad your 7T fits well 👍
I see that you had the S8 in without a case on the Razer Kishi.
@@AndroidAddicts Well I was thinking of it with the case on to maybe have it more secure. Although, thanks for the suggestion.
Can't really decide which one but i guess the pricing will xD
Is the Razer compatible with MF150 Air Ultra Plus?
What should i want to buy? Bro🤔🤔🤔🤔
Depends what sort of games you want to play and what your budget is
can u recommend a controller that would fit an otter box case
It depends on the size of your phone but the Glap or the Ipega 9083s
Can you use the Kishi to play vertical games (am currently playing Downwell)?
Ill use it for both emulations and mobile games
Enjoy!
@@AndroidAddicts i got it its awesome i play gta 3 doom 1 2 ac bloodlines and nfs most wanted
@@AndroidAddicts and spiderman 3
What are the positives for the Kishi and the negatives for the Gamesir. Seems a bit biased.
@@AndroidAddicts And the Kishi V2. The bad thing is the Kishi V2 doesn't collapse like the V1
Ahh yes, I hadn't thought of the V2 👍
Does a poco f3 with a phone case fit in a razer kishi
It's unlikely any phone with a case will fit in the Kishi
Ok in terms of how fluid you can aim with right stick for pubg is this better than just using your thumb
It's probably never going to be as accurate as you can be with your finger
Which controller better for football games like FIFA or PES
There'll be less lag with the USB C version but whether you'd notice that or not is probably unlikely
The new models of Gamesir X2 have a better Dpad, more similar to the 3DS
They do indeed - much better. I did a video them a few weeks ago ruclips.net/video/iBPBpwvhwj8/видео.html
Ive had the razer kishi and after 3 - 4 months the D-pad died
Mine lasted a little over a year before whole left side died. Didn't play much though, maybe same lkke 5 months everyday use during that year.
Seems the quality and design of the flex-cable is sub-par
Face buttons on the Kishi are a bit too mushy for my liking, but I don't think the X2 is any different, is it?
The face button on the X2 are much more 'clicky' if that's what you prefer 👍
@@AndroidAddicts ty Will order soon.
you can get a decent thickness of case on the gamesir if you dont mind voiding your warranty, just cut off the silly rubber pads on the usb-c side, i got spiegen tough armor case for galaxy z fold 2 to work which is silly thick.
The gamesir is a alot better for my samsung z fold 3! If I used the kesie I wouldn't fit and my case on my phone fits like a glove when I use the gamesir and I like the direct interface with the gamesir
Agreed - I wouldn't want to use any other controller for my Fold 3 either to be honest!
Will my oukitel k9 fit the RAZR or could you recommend a gamepad that would ?
Great comparison. In terms of input latency, are they the same or one has less latency than the other? I'm sensitive to input latency.
I wanted newer type-c controllers after Kishi to have a 3.5mm jack or at least allow the pass-through charging port to allow dongles for headphones.
I'd say they're exactly the same but you can compare them in the following videos where I use Gamepad Tester to test them:
Gamsir: ruclips.net/video/i7ba6imetCw/видео.html
Kishi: ruclips.net/video/XNdRm7ZqOw8/видео.html
I agree, any future iterations should include either 3.5mm or full USB C passthrough
I'm thinking if the buttons annoyed, could you not take it apart the controller and switch the buttons round ?
wish someone would make a compact clip-on gamepad that has a usb-c cable
That'd be pretty cool!
Just wanna know will it support Rog phone 5s??? Because the usb port is not in the middle, its in the lower left side of the phone... So before i order one i wanna know will it fit the phone.. is that port movable???
No I'm afraid it won't be compatible (the USB C version). The Bluetooth one would obviously work fine though
Which one would be more compatible to a realme7pro?
I got this device a few days ago and to be honest I don't like the feeling of the quality of it, you can't compare to the building quality and feeling of the Kishi, definetly don't it's what I was expecting.
Maybe kishi is much more expensive?
@@Akanohi more expensive but better quality and more comfortable to play with, it definitely worth the extra, I don't consider my hands big actually they are regular if not maybe a little small size but the Ganesir feel very small in hand making it uncomfortable even after a few minutes.
can this work at iphone C5 pls tell me
It can't. It uses type c not lightning port
The gamesir is definitely more aiming for the Nintendo Switch layout
I want the Razer because that's number one for me. Does that even fit on my cell phone. Mobile phone: Xiaomi Poco x3 pro
Yes it should just about squeeze in - as long as the USB C port is central too
I need help to know which gamepad that is compatible with ios14 and has keymapping ty
Neither of these are as they are USB C and iPhones use a propitiatory connector
ok but does gamesir have a small list of games you can play like the kishi? or do you get to map out the games meaning you can play any game? that's all i wanna know
BAsically the Gamesir will support X-Input games like the Kishi does but you get the added bonus of the Gamesir mapping software. You can also map with 3rd party tools such as Mantis which you can see here in my review: ruclips.net/video/kGA_3NoFnXQ/видео.html
Can u attach type c headphones with the controller?
No, sadly not (unless you have a Rog phone with the side USB port
I ordered that kishi but it's 👎not working 😕with call of duty mobile. Do that gamesir x2 work with playstore games
You could use Mantis Gamepad and then you can play any game with the Kishi: ruclips.net/video/V0OqyyklVtg/видео.html
Are the thumbsticks precise on these controllers? i have an ipega 9087 clone and the thumbsticks are not accurate
Yes they're both precise but I'd say the Kishi allows you to be more accurate
What kind of controller can you call the Kishi/Gamesir? Like there are those that are like xbox controllers with the screen above but then there is those like the Kishi/Gamesir that you put your phone in between. What is the term I'm looking for?
Please help me.
Maybe a telescopic controller?
Great review. Sir I don't know which one to buy. Help me please. I want to play Pubg only.
1- Will Razor Kishi + Mantis work for Pubg without issues/Lag?
2- Does GameSir x2 support Samsung S9 plus PLAY while Charging?
I prefer the touch feel of Kishi but I only play Pubg. If there is a way to make it work with Kishi then it will be great.
Hi there
1) Yes it should work fine
2) Yes it does - I just tried it on my S9+ and it charges fine - not fast charging but it does at least charge
@@AndroidAddicts thanks a lot sir. Then I will buy Kishi.
@@AndroidAddicts i bought the kishi. It's a bullshit for pubg. It's almost impossible to control the player like with fingers. The sticks are not made to play such a game.
@@oblxviking5746 but how does the button feel?
@@JohnCena-pi7de good. But not for pubg.
Does the x2 has a chance to have a deadzone in the joystick?
You can check my full review of the X2 here where I go through any dead zones in the analogue sticks at 8:56 ruclips.net/video/i7ba6imetCw/видео.html
What about input lag?
Reason I went with GameSir X2 is, I have a Galaxy Z Fold 5 and it's only controller I know of that has the USB - C on the left side which is the "correct" side for the foldable because of where our charging port is located.
The Newest Kishi controller can accommodate the Fold, but it is upside down on the right side which can make it more awkward for Galaxy Fold players. The Kishi V1 is basically useless unless you cut out some plastic
Yeah agreed - very awkward looking with the new Kishi. I hope they'll make another revision one day which can accommodate foldables...
@@AndroidAddicts so it got shipped out from Amazon and it arrived yesterday... It's a GameSir X2 Pro 😂 , the USB-C is on the wrong side! oh well
Does kishi support emu EGG NS like gamesir X2 ?
No, only the Gamesir X2 does

I think you never used a Nintendo switch or else you would have compared the gamesir x2 to it, it basically transforms your phone to a Nintendo switch
You are indeed correct. I haven't got a Switch sadly
Please compare with another type c controller
It named emulator & game 2 in 1 controller
It in black and curve at side 😃
Why do reviews never mention deadzones?
I did actually do some deadzone tests but in the review videos:
Kishi: ruclips.net/video/nl9My-OfM9g/видео.html
X2: ruclips.net/video/i7ba6imetCw/видео.html
Or you can check out the latest X2 from 2021 (which includes the Bluetooth model) here: ruclips.net/video/iBPBpwvhwj8/видео.html
It would be awesome if someone made a gamepad like this with wireless charging, connected via Bluetooth (NFC Pairing)
No
yes
@@fleeshawn11 no. there are plenty of bluetooth controllers, and they almost always have lag. the purpose of these controllers is to be physically connected.
I'm still unsure - i think the x2 and then i think that i do like to play emulated old stuff so the dpad on the kishi and then i think but the x2 looks better to hold and fits more devices and then i think but the kishi is smaller and has analogue triggers and then i think i'd rather my expensive smartphone was in somehting with a solid back and then i go around and around and around. So i've orderd both an one will go back.
Work on ps remote?
How add button if any game not support.what app i have to download to add button

@android addict i use razen kishi
Android addict: any solution about razen kishi game not support.or Should i download any app to play with android game not support to add button
Yeah you need to download a keymapper so you can play any game with a controller 👌
Can you play Mobile Legends with either of them?
If you use a key mapper like this ruclips.net/video/kGA_3NoFnXQ/видео.html
Does oppo reno 5g pro fit with razer kishi?
It's smaller than the S20 Ultra so yes - it'll fit fine
What do you guys play with this controller?
You can play Xbox Game Pass games or any Android games that have controller support (or any Android game at all because you can map the keys with an app)
I use it for remote play to my ps4. You are able to change the buttons to mirror a ps4 controller. I also had to buy a creator made remote play app for like 5 dollars because the Sony remote play app does not let you use 3rd part controllers like this for remote play which is so dumb. 🤷🏾♂️
@@kingace34 what is. The app name
How do u update the kishi there is no app for android 13
That is a good question - it may not be possible. I'd contact their support if you haven't already. I don't have mine anymore so can't try it myself.
