- For everyone who follows me here, I'd like you to meet my father, Ira Levy. The clip here is from an hour-long program my dad and I played on October 24, 2023, with my mom, 97, proudly watching. I’m always in awe of his incredible operatic baritone voice, and it seems to get stronger with age!
This remarkable man is a WWII veteran who landed on D-Day; an exceptional fencer who defeated members of the US Olympic fencing team in the 1950s; a gifted singer who got a role in a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical but opted for a more stable life; an entrepreneur who started his own business in his forties; an inventor who designed his own machinery… And most importantly, he is my loving father.
Hope this inspires and motivates you to strive for excellence on your own journey here on earth!

If only I had any tapes or videos of my dad on chord, my brother on double bass and me on chromatic from the '60s. You are so lucky to still have your dad, a very good singer, and that was a wonderful rendition appropriately in italian.
