I still LOVE this album...the vox at the end of the song is INSANE! The backing-vox throughout are brilliant...I guess these guys would have to track the backing-vox at a live show. Couldn't blame them. ALL "Invasion" guitar-work is really tasteful. Vinnie could burn up & down the fretboard all day but he knows to play what the song calls for.
One of my all time favorite songs. Not just rock songs. I think everything about it is perfect. It always gets cranked when it comes on. Just a great song, to me.
One of the best hardrock songs ever. Reminds me of long hot summernights and the midnightsun. Now it's just a memory, but the music lives on forever. As long music like this is not forgotten there is hope.
I cried when I heard this song 20 years ago and I knew that Monica, my baby, was moving to a different town, I hope you are ok now, and I hope you have found real and true love, I still love you, bye
Holy crap I LOVE this!! Slaughter was my favorite band for a couple years when I was about 12, and I still love this stuff. I had no idea that Mark was in another band before that!! WOW!
I love this video. It's good as "Love Kills" and both "Love Kills" and this video are awesome. Great melodies, great singer. Vinnie Vincent Invasion rocks :D
What a great lineup, a great band and great tunes that came from this band. I shutter to think what these four guys could of did had they staryed together. Mark's vocals were awesome, Vinnie is greatness and so is Dana. Bobby rock was also pretty cool too. The Invasion was awesome!
somebody needs to start a petition to have vinnie vincent get back in the studio and record more music. VVI is way over due for a new album. Bring Back Vinnie!!!!
I would never betray VV im sure there are people he could trust. I know hes been through many hard times in life but music needs Vinnie Vincent just like i need oxygen....Vinnie come back!! PLEASE!
Vinnie may have been hard to work with but he was such a frickin great guitar player that he could do no wrong for me - come on Vinnie time to come back.
Aye - thats very true...which is deeply ironic since he's unquestionably a superb musician and the best guitar player Kiss ever had (especially when he took the time to slow down now and then...)
You're right man! I have thought for years this tune was by Slaughter. If you just listen to it without watching the video it's like listening to SLAUGHTER.
I remember reading in all the metal mags about this new kid that Vinnie was going to unleash on the world as the singer on his next album (this one), who supposedly was unlike anything we had heard up to that point in metal. Well, they weren't lying. Slaughter definitely could sing, and had a unique voice.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah you're right I don't know much about Vinne's stuff or any of the aforementioned (hair) metal. It all sounded the same then as now. Yes, Zeppelin are great aren't they. I was a BIG Kiss fan too which is why I looked up VV. It seemed like he was a victim of his own AND Gene's arrogance. I'll check out Ashes To Ashes (I assume it's not the Bowie song). All the best - PS. I'll post any comment where and when I want to thanks.
geesh!....and all this time I thought that Vinnie's music (and Kiss's) transcended all this political clap-trap. Have a great christmas people...and farking rock-on!
@Zosogun This was there only project together. the band "Slaughter" was pretty much this whole band minus Vinnie Vincent. All the other guys got sick of Vinnie's constant need for overblown guitar solos everywhere. Both bands were great in there own rights. Invasion was harder edged for the most part.
Well, I can can tell you with 100% certainty that the guitar Vinnie's playing in this video is a custom made Carvin twinfin. He later changed the pickups to Seymour Duncan's and he also has an original "Non-FineTuner" Floyd Rose on it. I work at Carvin so I know!
@edguyrocks I totally agree with you, he deserves his royalties i mean how precious do they wanna be,they are multi millionairees and they play hard to give him his pay cheque
Back in the 80's, I was a huge fan of Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, etc. and I hated this style of metal. Now that I hear it again it takes me back to my adolesence and I have newfound respect for it, considering the current state of what's called "music"...
Saw them in concert with Alice Cooper somewhere back around "87-88. Fantastic band, I hate they didn"t stick around longer. They even came up the ramp at old Charlotte coliseum signed autos.
Little known fact: Vinnie Vincent was the second person to ever play the Rhoads. He altered the wing a bit after his first one (on tour with KISS) Of course the 1st was Randy.
greatest glam metal band of all time..... such an underrated band.... vinnie vincent invasion never got the credit it deserved.... why did they break up in the first place???
@Bakaphox Same here bro, I was born in 1993 and I feel in love with 80's music such as this buy the time I was in first grade. haha Most kids though it was weird since I'm latino and where I'm from... It's pretty much ghetto rap. :/ But I love music from 50's, 60's, 70's, and especially 80's. Not much I can say from the 90's except Pantera but either way it's all good. :)
not saying it not a wig or hair extensions but back in the 80's i was in local bands and from experience you can make you hair look ten times thicker with a body wave,a perm and a ton of aqua net.
@Carrjam94 They where successfully Love Kills was a #1 song They toured opening for Maiden & A.Cooper,The record company was not happy with Vinnie,so they cut him out & gave the record deal to Mark,Danna & Bobby. Bobby left for Nitro & later Nelson they could not use the name Invasion cause it belonged to Vinnie but Slaughter was Invasion
@gir37 : hmmm...the 80s had quite a few bands bearing the name of one of the members, like Van Halen and Dokken... And in case you did not know the guy singing here on this excellent song later was in band named...after him...SLAUGHTER.
Awesome song ... Vinnie has skills!! ... no doubt!
One of the best ballads of the era.
It has stood the test of time and Vinnie's playing on this effort matured nicely.
Marc Slaughter's voice on here sounds amazing, one of the best singers
One of my all time favorite songs. Not just rock songs. I think everything about it is perfect. It always gets cranked when it comes on. Just a great song, to me.
One of the best hardrock songs ever. Reminds me of long hot summernights and the midnightsun. Now it's just a memory, but the music lives on forever. As long music like this is not forgotten there is hope.
Great song. Both Mark Slaughter and Vinnie Vincent are amazing.
vinnie vincent invasion is one of the greatest and one of the most under rated bands of the 80's.
I cried when I heard this song 20 years ago and I knew that Monica, my baby, was moving to a different town, I hope you are ok now, and I hope you have found real and true love, I still love you, bye
VV is a great and complete musician. his lyrics, songwriting and guitar skills are awesome.
in the 90's, musicians cant even tune their own guitar!
I love this tune. One of the best melodies of the 80's. Along with Lonely by Crimson Glory. Man I miss them too.
Awesome. So many memories come with this song...the times...the places...the music...what an era the 80's were.
Holy crap I LOVE this!! Slaughter was my favorite band for a couple years when I was about 12, and I still love this stuff. I had no idea that Mark was in another band before that!! WOW!

Possibly my favorite song ever ...
this song really fit my situation...
"I gonna know the endin of my story.."
it's amazing,it makes cry...
thanks to god we got rock to believe in.
Definitely a kickass song that is good to listen to during anytime of the year. Such great talent and a unique player, rock on vincent!
somebody needs to start a petition to have vinnie vincent get back in the studio and record more music. VVI is way over due for a new album.
Bring Back Vinnie!!!!
I didn't know this tune back in the day, but the sound really takes me back. Love it!
The notes he uses on his songs are sooo nice & the note choice for his solos are so tasteful
what a greatband, they were so underrated, and they had great music.
OF ALL SONGS THAT HAVE CROSSED MY PATH. THIS MOTHER F'ER BURNS MOST DEEPLY INTO MY SOUL!
I love this band, they had it all.. Where are you now Vinnie? Come back!
One of the greatest songs ever. Vinnie should do another CD as he is very talented but ACE is still my fave Kiss member.
Vinnie is the greatest rockstar of all time,
Where are you Vinnie?
We miss you !!!!
Great song!!!! I miss this kind of music so badly!
I saw Mark do that Last note live so ON IT! Bad ass! What a voice he had!
The entire album cd was total kick ass 😊😊😊😊😊
First time i heard this song, GOOD stuff!!
Mark Slaughter what a voice...
Love this song!
All the shit that is one hit wonders, it's sick that this song didn't live up to it's potential.
in my opinion vinnie and mark were the heart and soul of invasion
I would never betray VV im sure there are people he could trust. I know hes been through many hard times in life but music needs Vinnie Vincent just like i need oxygen....Vinnie come back!! PLEASE!
Vinnie Vincent Invasion pumps out one hot Love Ballad here
Hell yeah Mark.....the scream at the end of this song is epic!!!!
This song brings back so many memories, Very good one =)
Excellent music. Really a show.
vinnie is the man! no better guitar player like him!!!
what a song!!
how amazed I'm..
^^
Vinnie may have been hard to work with but he was such a frickin great guitar player that he could do no wrong for me - come on Vinnie time to come back.
Increible voz la de Mark Slaughter y genial la guitarra de Vinnie Vincent uno de los guitar heros más incomprendidos del panorama rockero!!!
you hit the nail on the head
este grupo es lo maximoooooooo........
Aye - thats very true...which is deeply ironic since he's unquestionably a superb musician and the best guitar player Kiss ever had (especially when he took the time to slow down now and then...)
He is behind John Norums hit Back On The Streets. Vinnie is such a talented guy and I wish he had reach more success than he did! Respect!
Mark Slaughter hands down one the Greatest voices in metal!!
You're right man! I have thought for years this tune was by Slaughter.
If you just listen to it without watching the video it's like listening to SLAUGHTER.
the guitar voice in the solo is really deep and strong, also the woman in the clip is very very beautiful
I remember reading in all the metal mags about this new kid that Vinnie was going to unleash on the world as the singer on his next album (this one), who supposedly was unlike anything we had heard up to that point in metal. Well, they weren't lying. Slaughter definitely could sing, and had a unique voice.
This song is fuckin top.Haven't heard it since 1988.Still sounds amazing!!!
... That time of year ...
its cuz this music was simply awesom born in 92 =)))
Pure class!!!
wow, i used to think vinnie vincent sucked, but all has changed when i watched this, they're awesome!!!!!!!!!
damn! i wished i was back in the 80's....
vinnie is one cool dude!
FOREVER...............
Vinnie Vincent Invasion has many realy good songs including this. WHo knows how far they have got if they hadnt broke up in the first place...
excellent video and song...
VVI rules! I miss those days and bands like this.
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah you're right I don't know much about Vinne's stuff or any of the aforementioned (hair) metal. It all sounded the same then as now.

music was the best back then,
Love this song, i really liked Slaughter as well.
you cut me deep, man, , what have you done i you had been me?
Awesome friggin' song!
@bucky468 Ace was really hammered during that time.
Vinnie deserves alotta credit.
Rock and Roll is cruel.
Best song!
Que buen pero que buen tema ..... esto si era musica, me pongo nostalgico nomas de saber que yo no vivi esta epoca :(
Although Frehley is my fave guitarist for KISS, Vinnie is my fave guitar player/musician period.. He did save KISS from oblivion!!! :)
Mark Slaughter, are you fuckin kidding me! That last note is money!!!
@Zosogun This was there only project together.
the band "Slaughter" was pretty much this whole band minus Vinnie Vincent. All the other guys got sick of Vinnie's constant need for overblown guitar solos everywhere. Both bands were great in there own rights. Invasion was harder edged for the most part.
luv it
getting kicked out your own band, which is actually named after you, is about the most rock thing i've ever heard. VV rules!
great song, Vinnie is good, so is Mark
I wonder why they wasn't so succesfull, i mean some of their songs are great. And Vinnie is a great guitarist, can't lie about that
Well, I can can tell you with 100% certainty that the guitar Vinnie's playing in this video is a custom made Carvin twinfin. He later changed the pickups to Seymour Duncan's and he also has an original "Non-FineTuner" Floyd Rose on it.

i love vinnie vincent invasion but i wouldn't have known this band if slaughter wasn't here i love MARK SLAUGHTER HE'S THE BEST REALLY
Back in the 80's, I was a huge fan of Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, etc. and I hated this style of metal. Now that I hear it again it takes me back to my adolesence and I have newfound respect for it, considering the current state of what's called "music"...

vinnie vincent invasion was a thousand times better than slaughter.

vinnie vincent invasion never got the credit it deserved....

Times they Change :)
23 people are experiencing that time of the month
not saying it not a wig or hair extensions but back in the 80's i was in local bands and from experience you can make you hair look ten times thicker with a body wave,a perm and a ton of aqua net.
a pesar de que Vennie no tubo un buen pasado, es un musico exelente,
@Carrjam94 They where successfully Love Kills was a #1 song

good song
Mark did vocals on All Systems Go. Robert Fleishman did vocals on the debut.
