Guitar work is daunting sometimes because it's so easy to mess up a precision musical instrument, but it's also easy to fix and once you start digging into them, you realize that you are just some tools and RUclips tutorials away from learning a very cool skill. This is why I love cheap gear, because I can get something that looks and feels decent, then turn it into something special with a few choice upgrades and many hours of work to make even budget guitars into workhorses that sound incredible.

Sweet can’t wait for next video
Great video! In the back of my mind I am now thinking about doing this with an old acoustic. How do you measure the size of the fret wire so as to buy the same size as that wire being replaced?
Just what I've been looking for. Except I'm buying precut and bent Fender wire for my strat rebuild project. Thanks.
EXCELLENT VIDEO. VERY CONCISE AND EXPLICIT.
Buy a fret press Colin, it makes refretting much easier. I did it with a hammer for years, and you might have to do some that way, but the press makes it a joy, especially fender style guitars. And a fret wire bender!
I LOVE THIS KIND OF VIDEO!!! PLEASE MORE!!
All that hard work for a guitar that looks like that.
But in all seriousness. That fretboard looks so good afterwards. Good job man.
What a great educational video. I really liked it.
