Here, is the info, on that TDA 2040 , 5 pin amp chip... .The TDA2040 is a monolithic integrated circuit in the Pentawatt®package, intended for use as an audio class-AB amplifier. Typically, it provides 25 W output power into 4 Ω with THD = 0.5% at VS= 34 V. The TDA2040 provides high output current and has very low harmonic and crossover distortion

Hello, to all. I am an old , electronics/computer tech. Used to work on these - early to mid 70's. These modern design, ' engineers '....do NOT take into account, the heavy , usually rough usage, these instruments, receive from their users. Those inputs....SHOULD be mounted Separately, from the PC board. With good quality, connecting wires to the pots - MOUNTED ON THE BEZEL, SEPARATE from the PC board. ! Same idea, they use on laptops, and other devices. Should be a Separate mechanical mount - NEVER ever on the PC board ! Seen them loose solder connections, from movement / vibration /thermal expansions...on Dell laptops, HP......any. BUY A MARSHALL....or Garnet Amp ! Tube types, offer REAL LIVE sound. NO silicon, to cause distortion. Signal to Noise ratios..... 6L6 tubes, usually used in Marshall and Garnet amps....at least, they were earlier in life....
Hey, M and E....use JB weld, and dab alot, from the input jack, to that pc board. Or, take it off the board, and drill a hole - mount it IN the box panel ! Wire up to board connectins... Permanent F I X....

Just inherited one of these and noticed that a leaf had been broken off inside the input jack. I managed to get the broken piece out but the input is damaged with the copper bands that run over the top broken. Does anyone know what the part number is for a replacement input jack, please? Thank you

Hello - they have several styles of these jacks at Parts-express.com double check the pin spacing to make sure it will fit. Another option is to install a better quality metal jack and run wires from the jack to the pads on the circuit board. Thanks for checking out the video!
