I've been in the HVAC industry for well over 20 years which means I've had to handle plumbing, electrical, refrigerant, mechanical and several other issues but I must say the patience that Brian uses whilst troubleshooting or fixing issues is hands down the most "you can't be taught that" type thing. I still laugh at all the gagging at smells though lmao

In addition to really enjoying the Delos travels, I've come to the conclusion that if you want to embark on your own sailing adventures you need to be a mechanical engineer, an electrical engineer, a sailing master, or know people that are. Brian's wealth of knowledge never ceases to amaze me.

That anchor watch sounds like it could potentially be a life-saver. It would be really nice, in high winds at an anchorage that's not the greatest, to know that you're not dragging, without having to check while on the deck.

I love Delos. She is my dreamboat. In a decade of watching, seeing hundreds of other boats, I've never seen one that would make me want another. And as many amazing captains out there as there are, I would always pick Brian to be the one person I would feel the safest and most comfortable with. Yup Brian is the man, always been the stable lead, able to learn whatever skills are needed, and remember them when needed. Looks like a great family time together. Really interesting reviewing 10year old episodes and seeing how the vibe has changed. Parenting a big focus now, looking forward to watching you home school soon :-)
